Weight Watcher Membership Giveaway

Walk-It Challenge

My first give-away! I can't think of a more appropriate prize than giving away three 6-month Weight Watcher Memberships to either the in-person meetings or online program, so you can get moving with The Momentum Walk-It Challenge. I walk at least 30 minutes a day, 4 days a week. Sometimes on the treadmill, sometimes with friends on the boardwalk or around the neighborhood. Joining or starting a walking team is a fun way to get motivated to exercise and to stay committed to it.

The Momentum Walk-It Challenge is encouraging members to incorporate more physical activity into their life to promotes weight loss. Between now and June 6, set an activity goal for yourself -- like walking 5 kilometers (3.1 miles). Either join or create a walking team, or sign up for a 5K event and you can get a FREE 8-week online training program to help reach your goal.

If you are already a member, maybe you have a friend or family member who has been struggling with their weight loss and could really use a membership to get them started?
All you have to do to enter is leave a comment here telling me why you want this and what your favorite recipe is on my site. That's it! I will be randomly picking three lucky winners by May 20. Two winners will be picked from the comments. One winner will be picked if you twitter about this giveaway and link back to this post. Please be sure to leave your email address in your comment if your address is not available via your blogger profile and/or website. The winner will have 48 hours to respond to my notice... otherwise another winner will be chosen. Winners will be picked by random.org. Good Luck!

THIS CONTEST IS NOW CLOSED. THANKS TO ALL WHO PARTICIPATED AND CONGRATULATIONS TO THE THREE WINNERS – JESS TO IMPRESS, ANETTE BLACKWELL AND CRYSTAL BAGWELL. ALL WINNERS WERE CHOSEN BY RANDOM.ORG.

  5. I have been doing WW online for a while now but would really like to join meetings. Right now it's just not in the budget for me, but I am desperately lacking the support network I need and think meetings would be beneficial to me.

My favorite recipe of yours is the Baked Zucchini Sticks. I've bookmarked several of your recipes to try, but the zucchini looked so good I made it the next day and it was delicious!

  6. I am so excited for this! I hope you pick me.
So I do weight watchers through the kindness of others. I am getting married this year and need all the money I can save for that, so basically I cannot afford to sign up for weight watchers. I want you to know that I am not doing WW for the wedding I am doing it for me, this is my lifetime commitment. Anyway both my sister and mom are members and never use the online food logs or anything. They let me use it and that's how I keep track of my points and such. A few weeks ago they told me they decided to quit WW, for some unknown reason. So I will no longer have access to any of the info I need. I know it works cause I have lost 20lbs. I just can't afford to sign up for myself. This would be the perfect opportunity for me and I hope I will be considered and thanks for all you do on this blog and has been a lifesaver for me.
I love this site and all its recipes, its hard to pick a favorite but the one that stands out the most to me is the Peruvian chicken. I went to a Peruvian restaurant a while back and was astounded by the chicken it was so delicious and to have an opportunity to replicate that was awesome.
Thanks again for the opportunity and I wish you luck on choosing.

  9. This is my first time here, but I will definitely be back!

I could use this because I can use all the help I can get! I seem to be the mose unmotivated person I know.. maybe something like this could really get me working and get some of this weight off.

The Baked Chicken Parmesan looks amazing.. but I can see that I have a lot of awesome recipes to look through. I may be here a while ;) (Ooh, turkey lettuce wraps. Yuu-um!)

  10. Can Canadians play, too? My favourite is the baked chicken parmesan-- I have some baking right now and can't wait.

  12. I would LOVE to win. My mom's weight loss journey with WW has been so inspirational. Unfortunately, moving to a new state and temporary unemployment has left me unable to join WW myself for the time being. I would love to join my mother in her journey and be a success as well.

My fav. recipe is your baked tostones. I LOVE south american food, but find it hard to eat healthy. Thanks for the healthier alternative!!!

  13. I want the WW membership because I'm about to have my first baby (in about a week), and hope to work my way back to a healthy weight and lifestyle post-pregnancy this year!

My favorite of your recipes is the eggplant parmesean. Yum!

  14. I would love to win the membership as I had one but when I reached goal weight I lost my access to the online website without paying for it and didn't want to do this as thats why I wanted to reach goal!

Great blog - I have you on my google reader and enjoy all the recipes! Don't think I can choose just one.

  15. I LOVE your chicken cordon bleu. It is super easy, delicious & low points!!!
I would love to win the 6 month Weight Watcher membership.
I have been on the program before and did well on it. I was half way to my goal when I got pregnant. My beautiful daughter just turned 2 months old and I NEED to get back to WW, however, my husband and I decided that it would be best for me to stay home with my children (I have a 4 year old son, too) instead of teaching full time as before. I am thrilled to be staying home to raise my babies, but as you can imagine, going from two good salaries to one is TOUGH!
Getting 6 months of WW for free would be a HUGE blessing.

    Thanks for considering me!

  17. I started running on my new treadmill two weeks and I'm training to run a 10K in August. I'm running about 10 miles a week!

I am a lifetime member that has a few pounds to lose to get back to my goal weight. I just cant bring myself to go to weekly meetings and have to go the the detention table (for being over) to pay. I already gave them lots of money. So I do it on my own.

My favourite recipe is drunken shrimp!

  21. Well, I started WW in January '08, lost 89 pounds, and had to quit because we can no longer afford the cost.

Since I quit 6 weeks ago, my weight has been maintained, but I'm not losing any more. I think I sort of lost my motivation when I had to quit and I still have a ways to go.

I would love to join the on-line version.

As for favorite recipes? So far, I have three. Your chicken cordon bleu, crockpot chicken chili, and split pea soup.

    Thanks!

  22. I was so happy to find your site, I've liked EVERYTHING I've tried and have received compliments most for the Lemon Feta Chicken with Oregano. My husband and his big ole burley friend loved Turkey Meatloaf and were SHOCKED when I told them it was a WW recipe!!

This is the first time I've cooked "diet" food that was filling, satisfying, LOOKS GREAT and tastes so GOOD!!

  23. I have tears in my eyes because I am so excited and hoping that I win this giveaway. Weight has been my struggle all of my life. I have a good confidence level and really like myself. But I need to loose. I started in January following WW but didn't attend meetings. (Couldn't afford too.) Your site has helped me along but to have the support of others who are loosing would be so vital to me. I'm trying to loose so that my hubby and I can start a family. Thanks for the great recipes! The buffalo chicken wings are great! My hubby and I love them!

  24. I SO want this! My friends and some family are currently attending WW meetings and all walk together, right now I can't afford a WW membership but I do walk with them so it would be great to join them at meetings. I have been blessed with 5 kiddos and my last but not least is almost 2. I've struggled and made escuses for the last 15 years and I know I need to put ME first but I have a hard time doing that. 31. I've been tossing around the idea of joining WW for a few weeks now. I've gained a bit of weight since my wedding last June. I just can't seem to get the motivation that I need to get it off. I hope I win your awesome giveaway!

Oh, my favorite recipe is the Skinny Italian Meatballs.

  32. Wow! How wonderful of a giveaway is this for someone? I used to go to Weight Watchers meetings, but since I joined the gym, I found I was unable to afford both. So, I gave up the meetings. I would love to attend again, because they are a wonderful support group and they have so many great tips at the meetings as well! I've lost 15 lbs. so far...70 more to go until my personal goal! I would be so excited to get this prize! Please consider me!!

I love the classic diet soda cake recipe. It's such a great idea and you don't notice a difference in taste at all!! :)

  33. Turkey Taco Lettuce wraps is my favorite recipe. I definitely would be interested in winning this contest. That is what is stopping me: COST. I got a smart pedometer by Omron because I didn't have money for the Nike+I-pod. Sometimes we have to make sacrifices, but we want the end result.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Like Amy A, I gave up WW in favor of the gym. I've been good about going - and feel like 'm just starting to see changes after almost 3 months of near-daily workouts. I know that tracking food better would help me do better.

My favorite recipe is the petite turkey meatloaves - they're great for lunches. ellbeecee AT gmail.com

  35. What an awesome giveaway! I recently stopped going to WW meetings due to financial reasons. It'd be great to win this and start going again!

I get your site through my Google Reader. Your recipe for split pea soup with ham sounds so yummy!

  36. I want this so that I can join my friend who is already doing the online WW program. We have joined the gym and are exercising together, but it would be great to team up in this way, too. I need to lose about 30 pounds and I think any way that I can help myself to be successful would be great. My favorite recipe is the crockpot Santa Fe Chicken. Delicious!

  37. I love your site and I love weight watchers. Unfortunately, I've been unable to afford the weekly meetings. I'm currently about 20 pounds overweight but with this site, treadmill and Jillian Michaels DVD I've been able to lose a little at a time. I'm a huge soup fan and your escarole soup with the turkey meatballs was absolutely delicious. No one believed it was 'diet' food. That's what I love about your recipes.....I always feel like I'm cheating because they are so darn good. If I win or not I'll still continue to come back because your recipes are amazingly tasty.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I want this because I need to take positive steps to change my life, and I can't do it all on my own. I need the help that Weight Watchers can provide. My favorite recipe on your site the String Bean Salad. :)

  39. Hi Gina,

I'd love to win this giveaway...my weight watchers journey has been great so far. Since January I've lost 27 pounds, but I have a long ways to go. I have 2 coupons left for weigh ins and after that I have to see if I can fit Weight Watchers into my budget. I get a lot of support online but any extra little bit helps.

My favorite recipes make me feel like I'm eating "restaurant food" so I would choose something like your baked chicken parmesan.

  40. I would love a WW on-line membership to help me keep off the weight I have lost and to help me lose the pounds I still need to shed. I love to cook and the wonderful on-line recipes would help me stick to the WW program. By having access to the recipes (like I do with yours!) I could make interesting, tasty meals for my family and myself and have friends over for delicious weekend dinners all while still sticking to my WW plan. My favorite recipe is the broccoli and cheese mini muffins. What a great on-the-go breakfast!! Thanks. Judith jsudi@netvision.net.il

  41. I have lost a total of 27 pounds so far. I still have over 70 to go. I really think Weight Watchers would help me get there through the online program. I am not big into meetings but I have always wanted to try their online program. I really really want this, as do a lot of people. I am getting married next year and want to look gorgeous for my wedding. My favorite recipe here is the Baked Chicken Parmesean. We actually ate it two nights ago. It was so good. I also like the asparagus and swiss cheese fritata. SO GOOD. I really hope I win.

    ReplyDelete
  42. I'd love a WW membership since I am most likely going to have to give up my online membership come June since I was laid off. It's the only way I've been able to loose weight and keep it off, so the free membership would be a godsend.

As for my favorite recipe, it's a tie between Baked Chicken Parm and Sweet Potato Fries.

I love Spinach Stuffed Shells with Meat Sauce

My favorite recipe is your Diet Soda Cake!!!

  58. Hi Gina... thanks so much for the chance to enter into this giveaway.

I have become one of the unemployed in the current economic crisis and have been now for well over a year. I initially gained 15 lbs due to the turmoil and loss adding it to 40 lbs I was already carrying. After a few months of that I began to wake up and realize I was only hurting myself in addition to adding to my existing struggles.

So one day I woke up encouraged to take on my life as it was and deal with what I had power over and roll with punches on the rest. I have lost 30 lbs on my own then found myself stuck for the last three months with no progress but holding on my success thus far.

I need some guidance, support and encouragement. I do my best on my own but after attending one meeting this week, I came home so excited about what I want to accomplish. I normally do not like *meetings* but I didn't want this one to end! It was so energetic and fun and I was just so encouraged by it. I was able to attend the meeting because the registration fees are currently waived and I was able to save up the weekly fee of $12.00 but without a job and on extremely limited funds I am not sure I will be able to attend regularly due to the fees. A membership would be a tremendous gift that I would welcome with relish.

Thank you so much for the chance to win a six month membership.

  59. Gina your site has been a god send for myself and for my husband. We have both been struggling with our weight and your recipes have shown us that there is a different and better way of eating. My husband has been struggling with a chronic illness that has required him to have 4 surgeries in the last 12 months (2 major). Without sites like these and counting points he could have never lost the weight needed to have a safe and successful surgery. We are both still in the battle to get to goal. We are taking this journey together and are trying to support each other as best we can. Needless to say with one income it is hard for me to continue to keep up with the weekly meetings but it is all about making ourselves a priority. I love the support I get and love to spread the word about sites like yours. Thank you!!! As for a favorite recipe it is so hard to decide we love the Puerto Rican style Rice and Beans, The Pea Soup and the Empanadas!!! Thanks again and keep the great recipes coming! klsweetpooh@aol.com

  65. Thank you so much Gina! Sites like yours are truly a god send. My husband and I have both been struggling with our weight. Your site and recipes have shown us that eating better is possible. My husband has been fighting a chronic illness and has had to have 4 surgeries (2 major) in the last 12 months. Without me going to WW meetings and counting points for both of us it would not have been possible for him to lose weight and have a safe and successful surgery in February. Needless to say with one income it has been hard to keep going to the meetings but we are learning to put ourselves as a priority. The support I receive at meetings is incredibly important. We still have a long way to go but know the goal is well worth the struggle. So how do you pick one favorite recipe. Not Possible :) We love the Puerto Rican Style Rice and Beans it tastes like how I used to make them but so much better for us! Runners up are the Pea Soup (hubby's favorite) and Empanadas. Thank you for everything and keep the great recipes coming as I love to spread the word and share with all my friends. klsweetpooh@aol.com

That, in addition to the WW online tools would be very helpful to assist me in achieving my goals. I want to see my kids' children graduate from college. . .

My favorite recipe, that's a challenge. I like the three bean turkey chili and can't wait to try the No Bake Cheesecake!

Thanks for the opportunity to win the membership!

  70. The Crock-Pot Santa Fe Chicken, yummy!!!

I would love to have a chance to get the unwanted 20 pounds off. I have done diets before, but never can manage to get the final pounds off. I have lost my focus and just have not had the steam to keep trying. But having a bigger support system and a place to keep me accountable would help me stay on task.

I love to follow your blog and see all the healthy recipes you have to share.

Thank you for all you do!

  71. I joined WW back in 2000 soon after I graduated high school and gained my freshman 25 lbs...I know, it was only suppose to be 15, but I went way beyond that. I did really good and almost had lifetime but for some odd reason I thought I could do it myself. So, needless to say, I quit. Well I'm still trying to do it myself again and yep, you got it...still no luck. I really need to join for accountability, but I need a push and winning would give me that little shove that I need. Oh, and my all time fav recipe from you blog is the "Chicken Cordon Bleu." Totally easy to make and delish. My email is jcblalock10@yahoo.com

  75. Hi!
What a wonderful prize this is! From reading the comments I can tell that your decision will be a hard one.
I've been overweight since I was a child. I have struggled with losing the weight my entire life and have found weight watchers to be the best for me. I have been on it several times but due to financial reasons in the past have had to stop going and thus put the weight back on. Now I am in the situation that I am just not motivated and can't force myself to go sign up again. By winning this I hope it would give me that insentive back. I don't want to just lose weight for me, but I want to lose it for my family. I see my bad choices rubbing on to them and I don't want them to suffer the way I have.
Thank you for having a wonderful website with yummy easy recipes that are healthy and point friendly.
I love the Santa Fe crockpot chicken recipe!

  77. I was so excited when I found your blog full of WW recipes!! My favorite is the diet soda cake recipe. We make it for every birthday and holiday now.
I have been following the WW program since January and have lost 30 lbs. Only 20 to go. I'd actually like, if I win the give away, to give the membership to my mother-in-law. She's the sweetest lady who's helped me though a really difficult time and she wants to start WW but can't afford to go sign up right now.

I was just referred to your site today so I don't have a favorite recipe yet, but I'm going to make your crab and avocado salad for dinner tonight!

  80. Hi Gina, I have been struggling with my weight for years, my collegues and I have started our own little challenge and some of us are on weight watchers and some of us are on different diets. I would love to get a free membership to use online. One day, I was looking for a recipe on how to cook a roast in the weight watchers site but the only thing that came up was your website for all these awsome recipes. I have used your website since we started our challenge (5weeks ago) and love every recipe I use. If I was one of the lucky winners it would make my life a little easier and I would be more happier. It is exactly what I need. Thanks so much for taking the time to consider me.

I've still got 30 pounds to lose from my last pregnancy. I've been trying to lose it on my own for the last 6 months, but it's just not happening. I'd love to head back to Weight Watchers (just can't afford it right now).

  88. I previously lost 30 lbs via WW online and never attended a meeting. After 6 months, I put the weight back on. I lost my job a few months ago, so finances are tight. I would love to drop the weight again for the summer and understand that attending the meetings is really the support I need to be successful. I am really looking forward to being more active with my son this summer. I love your crab avocado salad and the Peruvian roasted chicken!

  96. I would love to re-join WW. I have been going to WW on and off for about 10 years. My mother and I started together. She was able to lose 40 lbs. Unfortunately, I lost my mother 3 weeks ago due to dementia. I feel if I go to WW it would be in honor of her as she was my inspiration. Also, my husband and I plan to TTC in the fall and this is the perfect motivator.
My favorite recipe-the cheesecake so easy and so good. Even my husband said it is better than his!

Also, I'm running a marathon in 7 weeks but the weight's not melting off like I'd have thought--it's totally my eating choices. This giveaway would be perfect for me!

I just know that being a member of Weight Watchers with official weigh-ins would really help me. I LOVE many of your recipes, but so far my favorite is the tilapia oreganata, mmm.

Thanks so much! Best of luck,

  103. I'm most fond of your chicken recipes - my favorites being chicken cordon bleu & the broccoli stiffed chicken.

  105. My favorite recipe of yours (that I have re-made) is the quinoa 'fried' rice. I wanted to use quinoa somehow and it was delicious and since then I eat it at least once weekly!

I have so far lost 51 pounds and a WW membership would really help me get over the plateau and meet my weight loss goals. My step mom has kept over 50 pounds off for 5 years now with Weight Watchers, I know it works!

  106. I'm already a WW member, but I'd love to be able to offer my mom a membership. I've offered to pay for her meetings, but she declines. She already exercises and has lost quite a lot. I'd just like for her to attend meetings too because they help me SO MUCH! I know she'd like to go too and winning would leave no reason for her not to go.

Now about my favorite recipes...so far, it's the Broiled Tilapia Oreganata. I don't care for fish, but this looked appetizing enough to try. And it was great...! And who knew I could cook like that? :)
Tomorrow night I'm going to try Broccoli and Cheese Stuffed Chicken...and I'm sure that over the weekend I'll try the Baked Zucchini sticks. I bought the zucchini today...might do some squash too. :)
Regardless of winnings I'm so glad I found this website! Thanks for taking the time to pass on these great recipes!

  112. Hi Gina! What a great idea! I love your site and I love that you are inspiring others to do this challenge. My favorite recipe is the crockpot chicken santa fe. VERY EASY. I copied it for all my WW friends and have it available at my meeting, where I help out at the registration desk on a volunteer basis. I love WW and I would love the membership -- it would ad to my "package of beliefs and goals" about Weight Watchers and fitness. While I don't love to exercise every single day, I know that I have to do it. Joining groups and setting goals for races and events is the best way to stay on track. I love that you support and inspire others with your contests and recipes. It sure keeps me coming back!

  122. Hi I am already a member of WW and I love it. My favorite recipe of your is the one for Tostones. If possible I would like to get a WW membership and give it to either my mother or sister. In my family we have a history of heart, BP and Diabetes. My dad has suffered complete Kidney failure and is on dialysis. My mother has high BP, my brother has BP, heart and diabetes issues and I have high BP myself with two meds. My youngest sister has always had a problem with asthma, but she is only slightly over weight. Recently my brother had his diabetes monitor out and my sister, playing around, asked him to test her. Her Glucose level was over 300. We were all so shocked and couldn't believe it. Her Dr. has told her to try and control her diabetes with diet and recommended she lose at least 20lbs. Well I think WW wold be perfect for her and we could do it together. joneseygirl28@aol.com

  129. Gina,
Since I stumbled on your site a while ago, I look forward to the recipes you print. Some are very different, while others are more traditional, all have an apppealing look and are relatively easy to prepare. I am a busy mother of two, self employed and desperately need to lose about 15 pounds. I know that does not sound like a lot, but with a home based business, it is often tough to stay out of the kitchen! Weight watchers is a great program, an I know I can feed my family while staing on program. I have not been able financially to join, so I would love to incorporate the program into my life.

My family enjoys the Broccoli and Cheese Stuffed Chicken recipe. It is healthy, easy to make, appealing to the eye and tastes even better the next day!

  132. I LOVE your site! I started WW July '08 and I lost 35 lbs between then and January '09. My fiance' and I decided to not renew our membership at that point because we are getting married in June (YAY!) and figured we needed to put the money towards that at this time. We are trying to keep our meals WW friendly but in the last 2 months it's been really hard! I'm a full time student and I've had finals and have been applying to grad school, and we've had a lot of social activities with the wedding! I've gained back about 10 lbs and fiance' has gained back about 7lbs. This membership would be exactly what we need to get ourselves back on track, especially in the next 6 weeks before our wedding - I don't want to have to let my dress out since it was fitted to me 10 lbs ago!

Our favorite recipes from your site are the cauliflower fritters and the crockpot chicken taco chili! :)

  138. Hi Gina,

Everyone on here seems so deserving, I don't know how you're going to choose! So here's my attempt at making the decision a little harder:

Like most of the posters on here, I've struggled with weight issues most of my life, most recently when I put on 25 pounds in the year after I got married. I've tried everything under the sun to lose the weight - fasting, fad diets, extreme exercise, to no avail. I've wanted to join WW for awhile now, but have been hesitant to do so due to the cost. I do try to count points, but am sure I'm not nearly as accurate on my own!

Now my husband and I are ready to start a family, but I am adamant about not doing so until I lose the extra 25-30 pounds I'm carrying, for both my own health and that of my child. I truly believe the WW tools could help me in that respect, as I could use them before, during, and after pregnancy to maintain a healthy lifestyle, and not just 'diet.'

So thanks for your consideration! I know whomever you choose is definitely deserving of this opportunity! And, being italian, my favorite recipe of yours thus far is the pasta fagioli - thanks for showing me I can still love my pasta and carbs and be healthy while doing so!

    Warmly,
    Nicole
