You can make these for dinner over zucchini noodles. You can also serve them as an appetizer by halving their size and setting on toothpicks for the dipping sauce. A few of my other favorite meatball recipes are Buffalo Chicken Meatballs, Sweet ‘N Spicy Turkey Meatballs with Bacon and BBQ Sauce, and Eggplant “Meatballs”.

I first posted these meatballs back in 2010 and the quickly became a fan favorite! Often I served them with brown rice or Asian “fried” brown rice, but lately I’ve been on a zoodle (zucchini noodle) kick and made them for dinner this week served over these zucchini noodles for a low-carb meal and they were fantastic!

To make the zucchini noodles, you’ll need a spiralizer (I love my Paderno Spiral Vegetable Slicer) or a mandolin fitted with a julienne blade. You can see my Italian Zoodles and Meatball recipe here for more detailed instructions if you wish to make this as a side, the only difference was here I used sesame oil to cook the zucchini.

  1. I really like how these taste but the first two times I made them they were dry. This time I added something a little unusual – 1/2 a sweet potato, microwaved and pureed. It really holds the moisture. I imagine potato would work too but sweet potato was tasty here

  2. Super easy to pull together. I had 10 meatballs as opposed to 12 so I cooked them for the full 18 minutes & I turned them after 10 mins. My husband liked them but I thought they were too dry and even though I used low sodium soy sauce, I found the sauce too salty.

  3. Meatballs were fantastic. I blended up the garlic, ginger and cilantro before adding it into the turkey mixture. I like spice so I threw in a few chili flakes, 5 cloves of garlic extra cilantro & ginger. I cooked them the full 18 minutes and even though I made a touch larger meatball I would take them out at 16 next time. I loved the sauce but too salty for my taste. I would substitute a few of those soy sauce tblsps. with wine and maybe 2 tblsps Lime juice. I’ll play around with it. I put it over sautéed, red peppers, mushrooms and zucchini. I gave away my spiralizer.

Excellent Asian turkey meatball and the sauce was so tasty! This will be a recipe I use weekly!

  5. First time making these tonight – so delicious! Have made Asian chicken/turkey meatballs before using a different recipe but this will be my new go-to – the sauce is sooooo good, thanks for another awesome (and healthy!) recipe!

  6. My husband and I love Asian-style recipes. This one is perfect! We had the meatballs alone w/the dipping sauce, fresh fruit, and a tossed green salad. DELICIOUS!!!

  7. I’ve been making these for years. Shared the recipe dozens of times. Always double or triple it. Sheer perfection and family fave!

  8. I enjoyed the taste but they were too dry. I think it’s because of the high oven temperature. I’ll try making them again at 400 instead and a shorter time.

  9. I made this amazing recipe again tonight and it was so good. I served the meatballs with a side of steamed broccoli. I do mine for 20 minutes at 400 degrees and they are perfect.

  10. Yum! I was reluctant to bake at 500 degrees but these meatballs came out perfectly! Skinnytaste has never led me astray – this site is my go to for all of my dinner recipes!

  11. I make this recipe often with ground Turkey. Made them tonight with lean ground beef. I had to use leftover brown rice instead of panko breadcrumbs. Served them over strings of zucchini and made an additional dipping sauce with Greek yogurt, Saracha, grated cucumber, garlic powder, salt and pepper and some lemon juice. Turned out fabulous!

  12. Has anyone tried these meatballs in an air fryer or even on a grill?? It’s going to be warm here today so I hate to turn on the oven.

  13. SO good! Made these with ground chicken as we always have that on hand. We loved the flavor of the meatballs, and the sauce was so delicious! I froze half the meatballs for a second meal, so we didn’t use all the sauce. Next time I’ll either halve the sauce or freeze half right away.

  14. I have made these several times and they are a huge hit with our family.  I make your Zoodles recipe which is also loved by all.  Thanks for great, healthy recipes.

My mom made this for dinner a few nights ago. It was delicious. She added basil infused olive oil, red pepper flakes, red bell pepper, and a little ground ginger powder. to the lean ground turkey. She always modify recipes. She also made quinoa fried rice and asparagus. I had to comment on a blog for school work. This is one of them that I chose.

  16. My family loved this recipe so much that I made it twice in one week! The flavor reminds me of the lettuce wraps from PF Changs. I may make it in a skillet next time and try it that way. Thanks!

  17. Excellent recipe and one I make very often. Sometimes I use red onions in the meatballs and it turns out delish too.

    Thanks!

So, there is no cilantro in the cilantro lime dipping sauce? I love this recipe but think I must be missing something, or it is mis-titled.

These are excellent. I will definitely make again. Followed recipe exactly. Thanks for another winner Skinnytaste!  Served mine with roasted broccoli and carrots and cilantro lime rice.

  20. Hi!

I just wanted to say, this has become my go to! Let’s just say I make it often enough, I no longer need to reference this! Haha so I figured I would give credit where credit is due! Thanks so much.

  21. Absolutely amazing! Restaurant style appetizer or can make a full meal. The sauce gives an incredible boost of flavor.

This is one of my favorite go to recipe. I love to serve it with zucchini noodles. I’ve even shared it with my family and coworkers. Which was a big hit.

  23. These were delicious! I subbed fresh parsley for cilantro – I love cilantro but didn’t have any. So yummy! I also reduced heat to 450 and cooked a little longer. Will be making these and the sauce again soon.

  24. Looking forward to trying this but the recipe is for Lime Sesame dipping sauce but the recipe “card” lists lime cilantro.

  25. This is one of my favorite recipes! I am starting WW for the first time and was interested how you figure out the smart points?

  26. This sounds amazing!  Do you have a favorite GF sub for panko?  I am assuming maybe a crushed cereal is best…  I’d love to know your thoughts!  Thanks for ALL of the fabulous recipes!

      1. Delicious recipe.  Last time I made it I realized we didn’t have any breadcrumbs.  I crushed some GF rice crackers instead.   They worked great as a substitute for the panko.

  27. I’ve read through all the comments and haven’t seen an answer to the many asks about
If the cooking time is different for 1/2 size/ appetizer portion meatballs?
And, if they should be frozen raw, or cooked? I’m guessing raw, thawed, then cooked?
What about frozen raw, in some of the marinade?
Need an answer ASAP, making again this weekend. TU

  28. Absolutely delicious-loved by all- each and every bite!!! The sauce was a nice addition and enhanced the well seasoned meat.

  29. A staple in our house! I follow the recipe as written, but omit the soap – Er, Cilantro – and always double that yummy dipping sauce!!!! Thanks!!

  30. We bought a 7 lb. package of 93% ground turkey at Costco a few weeks ago, and I immediately knew that you’d have tons of delicious recipe ideas to help us use it (I divided it into 1.25-ish lb. packages and froze). So far I’ve made the giant turkey meatball, BBQ bacon mini meatloaves, and this recipe and we have loved all three. The only changes I made to this recipe were to use regular onions instead of scallion (not as authentic, I know, but it’s what I had), and baked at 450 instead of 500 because I didn’t want to set off the fire alarm in our apartment. 😊 They looked pretty much done after 15 minutes, but I did broil them for another minute or 2 to get a bit more color on the top of the meatballs. Served with brown rice and steamed broccoli, and I had to hide the last 3 meatballs from my boyfriend so I could take them for lunch today! I’ve been using your recipes since 2012, back when I was cooking for myself and trying to lose weight. Thanks in no small part to you, I lost 35 lbs. and have kept it off. Now I’m cooking for two and trying to maintain my weight, which is not exactly easy living with a man who loves to eat, but we make your recipes all the time and they’re boyfriend-approved. Thank you so much!

  31. Any idea if I can leave the egg out? We have an allergy and just wondering if they will totally fall apart if i don’t use it.

    1. You could try with ground flaxseed as an egg replacer (mix with some water and let sit first). I’ve used flaxseed frequently to hold together meatballs.

  32. These were so easy to make and so delicious like all of your recipes! I haven’t found a bad one yet! My kids (age 3 and 1) liked them too!

  33. Absolutely wonderful meatballs. I use a cookie scoop and place on baking pan instead of rolling into perfectly-round meatballs. I have used just a pound of ground turkey (16 oz) and keep all the other ingredients the same proportion. I often add an extra garlic clove as well. My family eats these without the dipping sauce. With the leftover cilantro bunch, I make chimichurri sauce and have used that in the meatballs instead of the cilantro/sesame oil. That way I can take the sauce out of the freezer (frozen in ice cube trays) and have a close proximation of the recipe if I don’t have fresh cilantro on hand. Overall, just a really great recipe that even my husband will eat and he doesn’t care for cilantro.

These were so delicious and moist on the inside while having a yummy crispiness on the outside!! I will for sure save this recipe!!!

  35. These are fantastic! I am on the Dukan diet so low fat/low carb options are important to me. I go through a lot of ground turkey based recipes as a result and I’ve tried many turkey meatball recipes – this is one of my favorites!!! The only tweaks I made because of my diet was I swapped out the breadcrumbs with a few tablespoons of oat bran fiber since I’m allowed to have that and I used 99% lean turkey. I use these as a snack with a bit of sriracha or I throw them into a zucchini or shirataki noodle stir fry. Absolutely delicious!!!

  36. These are in the oven right now. I was not able to get 12 meatballs out of 1-1/4 lb of ground turkey when I measured with a 1/4 cup.

  37. I have been making these for years. We love them! They taste great with pork instead of turkey as well. Thanks for the recipe!

  38. This is one of my absolute favourite recipes!! I usually take it as party food (where everyone raves about them) – but have also used this filling in stuffed baby mushrooms.
The only changes I make is that I include some finely chopped water chestnuts to the meatballs for crunch and some sliced fresh red chilli to the sauce for presentation.
Awesome recipe – love, love, love it

  39. I made these today. They were delicious! I will definitely make these again. The only ingredient I didn’t have was fresh ginger, so I substituted with dry ground ginger. And I set the oven to 450 degrees for 12-13 minutes. They were perfect!

So what is the desired temperature? Dying to make but need to know the temp and time!!!! Hurry they look so good!

  41. What would the points be for the meatballs with the new Freestyle program? When I put in the nutritional information into WW, the points are 6; however when I put in the ingredients the points are 2. Thanks!

And I have made this many times – what a great dish!

  42. The very first SkinnyTaste recipe that I made…..and I was hooked! These meatballs and dipping sauce are DELISH! Great for a main course and as an appetizer!

  43. Made this again a few days ago and as usual excellent and tasty recipe, I make this recipe with my tweaks of Hot Chili Sesame Oil in place of regular sesame oil. I bake them on a silicone baking mat which helps to draw out the small amount of fat left, then place them on a baking rack to drip any excess left. Still great recipe!

  44. Thank you for this recipe! I found this on Pinterest about 3 years ago and have been making them ever since.  I now make a minimum of 3 lbs,  as my family likes to have leftovers the next day!  Hubby and 2 boys approved!

  45. I made these last night and I couldn’t find our regular sesame oil, so I used Hot Chili Sesame Oil and used 5 garlic cloves. Being Italian my husband LOVES garlic. In the sauce I added a pinch of minced ginger and lime zest the whole recipe came out amazing. I also topped it over zoodles. We picked up a chili ponzu sauce that was phenomenal with this recipe, we used both sauces to try out.

My husband was not a fan of turkey at all and really disliked it but a lot of your turkey recipes have really impressed him. Well done.

  49. If I’m making 2 lbs of turkey how do I calculate how much more of the other ingredients you need to add?

  50. Is it 1 and a quarter pound if ground turkey or a quarter pound of ground turkey?? Might be a stupid question but wanted to make sure 🙂

My 4.5 year old had such a good time helping me make the zoodles! Every single one of your recipes that i’ve tried are so flavorful…this one did not disappoint! My husband was on the fence, but after he tried it, he said I’d eat this again! Thanks for a healthy dinner!

I have made these twice now and the are amazing. My girlfriend came over and we made them together the first time. We are both big fans of your website. The meatballs are so savory delicious while the sauce is tangy and amazing. I very lightly saute the zoodles to where they are warm, but still firm (we do not like mushy veggies).

  53. Just made this meal and it was absolutely delicious! Your site has proven to my husband (and the rest of my family) that healthy CAN be delicious. I tried cooking healthy for many years, and most times the result has been quite disappointing. It’s so disheartening to spend so much time and money trying to cook healthy, only to find out nobody really liked the flavor of the final meal. Your website has changed all that, and I cannot thank you enough. I have made many of the recipes and we love just about everything! These meatballs and zoodles are our new favorite. Next time I’ll be sure to double the recipe. I wonder how they would freeze?

  54. 500 degrees is too high heat. I reduced to 450 and they were a tad over cooked. I’d reduce to 375 or 400 even. You don’t want dry meatballs!  That said, the flavor was great.

  57. These are great, but the recipe doesn't mention to add the garlic so I only noticed once they were in the oven that I didn't add it to my mix! I added a bit when I noticed..still good 🙂

    Gina,
Just wondering if you have ever made these with bison? I was debating making these or stuffed peppers with bison or ground beef. I have both on hand. PS Made your Chicken Stir Fry with Pineapple last night. AMAZING. My husband was raving. Love your site! Thanks…

  59. Just wanted to say I just found this on Pinterest and made this recipe this week, and it rocked! The only substitution I made was fresh basil instead of the cilantro, because cilantro tastes like soap to me and my family, but the whole recipe, including the dipping sauce, was absolutely delicious and the most fabulous use of ground turkey I've tried yet. Thank you!

Gina – can these be made ahead and put in the fridge uncooked and then cooked when ready for dinner?

    Thanks!

  61. I LOVE this recipe! I'm making it again tomorrow for a dear friend. I use organic ground chicken instead of the turkey, and add some sauteed red pepper to the meatball mixture. I could bathe in the lime sauce…..SOOO GOOD! Thanks for posting such healthy & delicious recipes….I have several pinned on Pinterest!

  62. Love these, but I make with ground chicken and add finely chopped water chestnut.

Also, I have never set my oven on 500 degrees. For real on that? Why?

  63. These are delicious. I just wanted to say thanks for the recipe I make them all the time, sometimes I finely chop water chestnuts in there to give them a little crunch. .

    Hi Gina;

I'm planning to make these in the appetizer size (say… half the size for each piece) and I am wondering if I should bake them at a lower temperature OR same temperature but with less time. Could you please advise my "beginner cook" self?

    Thank you,
    Luciana

  65. Is this the same recipe, or have you altered it? it seems like this was pictured with brown rice before…

  66. One of our favorites – with one minor change – after the meatballs are cooked I put them and the dipping sauce in a frying pan for a couple of minutes and the sauce becomes this glorious glaze. Love the cookbook Gina!

  67. Gina-I'm beginning to prep some freezer meals for when our first baby comes (in 2 weeks eek). We love these meatballs. Should I prep and freeze them raw or cooked? Thanks!

  68. This is the 3rd recipe of yours I've tried in less than 12 hours. I'm HOOKED! I love the flavors, the texture and that they are WW friendly! Thank you so much!

OMG these were SO good! I am obsessed with your site and make something from it at least 3 times a week! Thanks for all your awesome recipes!

  72. These are amazing! I substituted a few things to make these gluten free (GF soy, 2-3 tbsp GF cornflour instead of panko breadcrumbs) and the meatballs were delicious. Everyone loved them!

  73. Amazing. I make them a few times a month, leaving the recipe as is (I just triple it!). I serve them over drained chicken flavored ramen noodles for the kids. They love them! Thanks!

  74. I made this last night and loved it! I especially had a blast making the zoodles, that was so fun but now I want a spiral slicer 🙂 All my favorite flavors, so YUM. I plan to reheat the leftovers for breakfast 😉

  75. I have these delicious looking meatballs in the oven right now. Just wanted to check with you (or anyone that can clarify)… The recipe says "Cilantro Lime Dipping Sauce" but the dipping sauce recipe doesn't have cilantro in it? Am I missing something? I appreciate your help! 🙂

      1. it looks like “cilantro” was a typo there – the title of the recipe at the top of the page calls it lime-sesame dipping sauce. i’ve been making this one for years and never added cilantro!

  76. These were amazing! Packed full of flavor! I found this website a few years ago and cook 4-5 meals a week from it. I have been on WW since last July and this has made it so easy to stick with it. I love food, I love to eat and I love to cook. This site has been a lifesaver for me! Thanks Gina for another great recipe.

  77. What is a gluten free version of panko or breadcrumbs? At my local grocery store they do not have gluten free breadcrumbs available. Corn starch?

    1. I found this option tonight for making your own gluten-free bread crumbs. Definitely worth a try!

      http://grainchanger.com/gluten-free-bread-crumbs/

  78. I just made these! SO GOOD! My grocery store had ground beef on super sale! So I substituted it. AMAZING!!

  79. My husband LOVED THESE! and he hates anything healthy, even remotely! These meatballs are a secret weapon!

  80. I made these this past weekend and the whole meal was absolutely amazing!! Everyone has been raving about it ever since 🙂 I've had to copy and paste the recipe to several people. We will be making this again and again!! 🙂

  81. I made this last week and we loved it! My husband usually doesn't like Asian food but the dipping sauce is light and flavorful, not heavy and overly sweet. We also agreed to make zoodles more often and use them with other recipes. Bravo all around!

This meal had so much flavor and was so satisfying!! We will definitely add this to our favorites for dinner! Thank you for sharing this delicious recipe!!

  83. These were the best meatballs I've ever tasted!! Thank you! Would you happen to know the calorie content without the sauce?

  84. Made these with ground chicken and they turned out great. I cooked them at 400 instead of 500 and just left them in a little longer – I was worried they'd get too dry at 500. They were delicious! Thanks for another great recipe.

  85. I made these meatballs last night. My husband will not eat turkey in any form. I asked him if he wanted to try my meatballs when they were done and I did not tell him they were made with turkey. HE LOVED THEM! Even after I told him they were made with turkey. I want to try the zucchini noodles too, but I just ordered my mandolin yesterday and as soon as it comes I am trying them too.

I thought the meatballs were perfect….loved them!

  86. I made these tonight for my family of three and they were fantastic! I made the zucchini noodles and the whole grain brown fried rice since my toddler despises zucchini. Between the three of us we ended up with the tiniest bit of leftovers. What a winner!

    love to cook!

Thanks Gina . Great recipe. The entire family loved them. I did an oops. I cut the garlic. But the directions as you know did not say to put it in and I left it out. Was crazy in the kitchen at the time. Anyway they were still so good. I made the fried rice too and all,of us loved it too. I used ground chicken and a 1/4 pound of the 93% turkey. Hubby does not like turkey anything. But I really think he would not of noticed. Thanks for sharing as always. Next time I will make as an appetizer.

Holy Moly these sound amazing! And I just got a zucchini peeler that I have yet to use. I've gotta get on this asap!

  91. Definitely my favorite recipe on Skinny Taste. Get rave reviews for these and many requests for the recipe. Been making them since 2010 when the recipe was first published. Thanks Gina!

  92. Love the idea for coconut flour instead of Panko (for a non-gluten riff)…OR…one could one possibly use ground gf oats or quinoa flakes…or ground hemp/flax seed? Psyllium husk?

  93. the recipe I printed had the garlic on the top for the meatballs, but on the bottom where it gave the directions it didn't include the garlic..I added it because of the top list of ingredients, but thought I should pass it on? (they were really good by the way!)

  94. Can these be prepared earlier in the day, refridgerated, and cooked at supper time? Love your recipes – thanks!!

  95. Would this be okay to make earlier in the day and sit in the fridge until supper time before cooking? Love your recipes! Thanks!!

  96. I've had so much success with many of your recipes, and I came across these meatballs with great reviews. But, I made these ahead of time for a party tomorrow and I think they are just OK. I have another asian turkey meatball recipe that includes hoisin and I think it adds much more flavor. I also thought the dipping sauce was very watery, and wasn't sure how I could thicken it, so I might try adding hoisin tomorrow.

Hi. If I make smaller appetizer sized portions, how long should I bake them, and still at 500 degrees? Really looking forward to making these.

  99. I made these last night with a few modifications: parsley instead of cilantro because I hate it, i added half ground beef because i had it in the fridge, and because I was using kosher products less soy/salt. I also found that the dip was a little too salty for me, and added a bit of rice wine vinegar to the mix. I took a photo: https://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash3/935815_10100817764380422_383920866_n.jpg

  102. I loved these!!!! I am a huge potsticker fan and it reminded me of the inside of the potsticker and the sauce was great too. I added a touch of brown sugar to the sauce for a little sweeter taste.

  103. Best meatballs ever! I thought nothing could top your Swedish meatballs but these did. I didn't have any eggs but they still came out a-mazing.

Hey Gina – these are AMAZING. I've told everyone I know to make them. It took all my strength and willpower not to eat the entire pan haha. SO GOOD. I found 500 too hot for my oven, so I dropped it down to 400. Kept the smoke detector from going off 😉 Thanks for the awesome recipes!

  105. These were so good I love all the recipes I have tried from your site since I found it a couple months ago. thanks so much for sharing

  106. You've outdone yourself again Gina, these meatballs are fantastic. Someone else mentioned that they tasted like the filling for a dumpling and I have to agree. I'm going to use this mixture to whip up some steamed dumplings next using the same sauce. Thanks for all you do!!

  107. Gina, your recipes never disappoint. I made these tonight and they exceeded my expectations! They were absolutely delicious and I can't wait to make them again. Like others I served the meatballs with some steamed broccoli. Next time I will probably only make half of the sauce.

  108. I just made this recipe for the first time and followed the recipe exactly. The meatballs are AMAZING!!!!!
Every recipe I've made from this website has been very tasty and delicious! Thank you, Gina!!!!

  109. I would love to try these, but I am not sure what "Panko" is. What is it and is there a substitute for it if I cant get it?

  110. Just made these tonight. I added 1 1/2 tsp to the sauce which I mixed with brown rice and cooked broccoli, then topped it with the meatball! My two year old who rarely will eat meat, couldn't get enough of these. In fact, when my husband wasn't looking, she even snatched one of his! thanks for another great recipe!!

  111. No one has posted about this recipe in over a year. You need to bump it back up to the top — these are delicious! I'll be making them again and again. I doubled the recipe, based on a friend telling me how great they were. I have some in the freezer that I'm looking forward to having for lunches.

  112. I found this recipe on Pinterest several months ago and have made them multiple times. They are a big hit with my family and my 3 year old especially loves them. Thanks for the recipe!

  113. Made these tonight… thought they were AMAZING. bummed though, neither the kiddo or the husband agreed. 🙁 I even doubled the recipe to freeze, thinking it would be a great lunch to send with her to school. oh well. more for me.

  114. These were super good! I made them with a side of couscous and froze the rest for lunches. I'm so glad I misspelled "meatballs" and accidentally found this on pinterest.

That word in the dictionary, I think they call Awesome...

they were good, but I think the sauce and the stronger flavors with the meatballs was a little to much ginger and soy sauce, It would be nice to pair the meatballs with something with a different flavor and not the same :/ I thought thats what the lime would do but the lime kinda milded off when it was mixed with the oil. regardless love the site and recipies.

  116. Since discovering this website a week ago I've already tried and LOVED 3 of your recipes, this one, the santa fe crock pot chicken and the skinny buffalo chicken dip. All three came out absolutely fantastic! I am now obsessed with this site, thank you!!

I made these last week for one of my lunch dishes and it was DELICIOUS! I added fresh jalapenos for some spicy

We make these once a week. Sometimes with teriyaki noodles and sometimes with fried rice. Even my four year old and two year old love them. Thanks so much for sharing a great recipe!

  119. I'm not a big turkey burger fan, but these were fantastic!! I will now have to add turkey burger to my shopping list! I served with coconut Jasmine rice, and a side of Thai cucumber salad from DrGourmet.com (great site for healthy recipes too). This is now one of my favorite recipes!! Thanks Gina!

This was great! I didn't use cilantro because I don't like it and I baked them at 425 for 15 minutes. 500 scares me! We did them with brown rice and edamame. They were delicious!

  121. I had a package of turkey I pulled from the freezer and no idea what to do with it so turned to your site as I frequently do and found this recipe… Amazing! Made it with the brown fried rice and it was so delicious. Even leftover. I absolutely LOVE your recipes. I make them at least twice a week if not more, and have never made anything I don't like. Thank you for all your effort in bringing us tasty, healthy food. I don't do WW, but try to eat healthy. I share your site with everybody! You are amazing 🙂

  122. Pulled some ground turkey out of the freezer today without a dinner plan. I came straight to your site (like I frequently do) and found this recipe… Oh my goodness…. DELICIOUS!!!! I made it with the fried brown rice. I had most ingredients on hand and made some suitable substitutions for the rest. I LOVE your site even though I don't do WW. I can't even count the number of recipes I've made and haven't found a bad one yet. Thank you!!!! You are amazing and make me look really good in the kitchen as well 🙂

  123. These were amazing! I made these a few weeks ago for my mom and sister. My mom is off the boat Italian and doesn't usually stray from pasta with tomato sauce haha, but she won't stop raving about these meatballs. She keeps asking me when I'll make them again! I love that they used turkey meat yet were sooo flavorful! Thanks again for the recipes!!

  124. This recipe was great! But I found the 500˚ to be way too high and the meatballs overdone. Next time I would reduce to 425˚, at least.

  125. These were spectacular! Thanks for sharing your recipes! I have also tried the lasagna rolls… both recipes are a hit with my husband and 14 month old son! These meatballs were SO easy and fast to make… hugely important when you're a working mom and want to make wholesome family meals every night. Thanks again for the great recipe!

  126. Made these last night! I was never a fan of ground turkey but OMG these are amazing! Fixed with white rice.. def a keeper!

  127. Love this recipe. I buy 94% learn turkey which comes in 1 lb packages at EarthFare. I added about 4 ounces chopped mushrooms and used egg beaters. (None of this changed the points.) Followed the rest of the recipe to the letter…it's a keeper for sure! Thanks.

  128. This recipe is so incredible! They taste like eating a pot sticker, without the guilt 🙂 Thank you for sharing!

  129. Made a few modifications for my family. Less ginger and sesame oil. Swiched parsley for cilantro. Turned out soooo good. The sauce really made the difference for me. Loved it! Will definitely make these again.

  130. Liked this on Pinterest forever ago – just got a chance to try it – faboulous! Just added some brown sugar to the sauce because we aren't following points! LOVED it! Thanks so much for sharing!

  131. This was so easy to make, fast and delicious! Even my mother who is 100% Italian and afraid to try anything other than pasta (lol)loved loved loved them!! Thanks for the recipe!!

  132. Hi Gina!

Ive made several of your recipes in the past but my boyfriend and I have decided to make the switch to Vegetarianism… and I made these tonight using meatless "ground beef" (trader joes), and they came out SO GOOD. I just needed to add 1 tsp of cornstarch since the meatless doesnt hold together as well. My boyfriend ate 7 of them.

    Thanks for the recipes 🙂
    Genna

  133. I made these last night. Really enjoyed the meatballs, however I think I'd cut back on the cilantro next time. My husband really liked the dipping sauce…not so much my taste. I served them with a warm brussel sprout and asparagus salad. Yum!!

  134. I made these for the first time last night and WOW were they out of this world delicious! I love that Gina creates recipes that help me stay on my WW plan and taste so amazing. The flavors just explode and the lime in the sauce you put on top was excellent. LOVE LOVE LOVE!!

  135. these were so yummy! i replaced the meat with veggie ground meat and they came out crunchy on the outside. so delicious! the seasonings were done so well that, even without the dipping sauce, you couldn't tell you were eating meat substitute.<3

  136. I have to tell you that this has quickly become one of our favorite recipes! We make them on a regular basis and just love them!! We almost always serve them with a side of brown rice & steamed edamame pods. SO GOOD! Tonight, I'm making up a huge batch with 5 pounds of ground turkey I got at Sam's and freezing them…we'll see how that turns out. I plan to pat some of them out into burgers and freeze for later. I think they'd be great grilled and served on sandwich thins. I'll report back how we like them. Anyway, thanks for all the awesome recipes you give us!

    1. Reporting back…The frozen meatballs were just as good as the ones cooked fresh, and the hamburgers are fantastic! We threw some (still frozen) on hubby's charcoal grill last night and then served on toasted whole wheat English muffins with some baby spring greens & garlic chile sauce. To go with the burgers, I fixed a side salad with the same greens, a few sunflower seeds, a chopped apple, and Newman's Own Light Ginger Sesame dressing. SO GOOD!

  137. Just wanted to share that I made these last night for a family potluck. I made them into 1/8 cup servings instead of 1/4 cup, at the end of the cooking time I flipped on the broiler to brown the tops. I also added a couple tablespoons of Agave syrup to the dipping sauce. For me, I needed to add some sweet to it, and by the time I was done with it, it tasted just like a pot-sticker dipping sauce. And to be honest, the turkey meatballs were a bit reminiscent of the insides of a pot-sticker, so it worked perfectly. My husband wants me to make these again SOON when we don't have to share them… 😀 Thanks again for another winner that will hit our regular rotation!!

  138. Eating them now. Yummmmmm!!!!!! Easy, tasty, healthy. Added the sweet chili sauce to the sauce and so good. Hope I don't eat them all……

  139. I just made these for the first time this weekend and they really are great! I made mine mini ones to but in a roll and toped it off with some BBQ sauce.

    Thanks so much for sharing!!

  140. Tried these tonight for the first time; delicious! I'm not a huge ground turkey fan but these are delectable. And your whole site is chockablock with fantastic photos and tempting recipes…so glad to have found it!

  141. Just made these tonight. First word out of my husband's mouth was, "WOW!" We LOVED them! Thanks for the great recipe!

  142. These were RIDICULOUS!!! Soooo delicious! I too made some brown "fried" rice and sautéed some green beans in the dipping sauce and some sesame seeds. Can't wait to make them again!!!

  143. Hi Gina,
When you publish your cookbook I will be first in line to buy it. I love your recipes I ensure that to make at least 2-3 of them a week.

    Thank you,
    Miriam

  144. Yummy. Saw these on Pinterest and made them tonight. So healthy and flavorful. I used tinfoil on my baking sheet and highly recommend doing so. Thank you for posting this recipe.

  145. Any suggestion for a substitution for the cilantro? My husband is one of those people to whom it just tastes like soap.

    1. I made it last night for a family potluck. There is someone there that just loaths Cilantro. I warned him ahead of time that it was in there, he almost put them back, but I told them that it was cooked in. He told me later that he couldn't even taste it. I think Cilantro is really one of those things that is most potent when it's raw. But if I had someone that absolutely refused it, personally, I would add parsley or just more green onions.

  146. I made these with the SkinnyTaste coconut rice and the SkinnyTaste mango salsa (that is in the firey pork tenderloin recipe). Everything together was EXCELLENT! So yummy, very good flavor pairings. I also put a side mesclun salad with it, with the leftover chives & some slivered almonds–dressed in balsamic vinegar. PERFECT combination!!! My roommate loved it too!

  147. You did it again! Yup, another fabulous recipe that my entire family LOVED! Most recipes I have to modify in order to get the flavor that we like but not yours! Perfect! Thank you so, so, SO MUCH for sharing!!!!

We really enjoyed these. Thank you so much! I've never made anything with ground turkey, so I wasn't expecting the meatballs to be so loose, but they turned out great. Even my picky 7 and 9 yo gobbled them up! (With ketchup, of course.) I made them a bit smaller, about 1.5" and ended up with 20 meatballs. It was perfect for our family of four.

  149. LOVED these! I made little burgers instead of meatballs and grilled them on a cast iron grill pan. They were a big hit. I froze the leftovers and had them later in the week. I will def make these again! I didn't freeze with the sauce, so I don't know how that would be.I work 4-12's so I am so happy that I do not have to eat fast food or crap any longer. LOVE this site and tell everyone about it.

  150. Just made this along with the fried rice you suggested for my husband and teenage son. Totally amazing. Great flavor and nothing was left on anyone's plate.

Love your recipes. Everything I have tried has been fabulous!!

  151. These were nice for dinner tonight. Served with chicken potstickers from Trader Joe's and roasted broccoli. (The sauce was great with the potstickers, too!)

  152. I made these tonight – they were great! I only had 1 tbsp of soy sauce left in my bottle though so I put 1/2 tbsp in the meatballs and 1/2 tbsp in the sauce with extra lime juice. I didn't end up with much sauce because of that so I just brushed it over the meatballs when they came out of the oven. They were REALLY good! I'm not a huge soy sauce fan so this probably worked out in my favor. Will definitely make these again!

  153. Oh my goodness these turned out AMAZING!! I seriously have died and gone to meatball heaven! I paired this dish with your fried brown rice and a small bowl of edamame…it was just so DELISH! It was really simple to make too and made for great leftovers for work the next day! I think I made everyone in my office jealous when I re-heated it 🙂 I'll definitely be making these again and I'm gonna try making them in bite size as you suggested for an appetizer. Thanks for a wonderful recipe!

  154. I made these and they had a horrible taste to them. It was a spicy, herb taste. I think we figured out that it was the cilantro. I'll probably try them again because they look good but next time I'm leaving out the cilantro completely.

  155. I will be recommending these recipes to my clients who are always looking for better choices as they pursue the Healthy Way of Life.
    ~Jay Stein

  156. Gina, I'm going to make these as an appetizer for a Christmas party. I'm thinking I'd like to make the meatballs 1/2 the size. This is probably a no brainer for most people, but what should I cut the cooking time down to? Help?! Thanks in advance:)

  157. I have never cooked with ground turkey and this is now a fav recipe of mine, I also made it into mini meatloves! THANKS!

  158. YUMMY! We had these tonight and I loved every bite! Served it with some Jasmine steamed rice. I even have a couple left over for lunch tomorrow. 😀

  159. These were SO good! I didn't change a thing except with the ginger, garlic, & onion… instead of mincing/chopping those ingredients, I placed them all in a mini food processor & chopped them down to a very fine texture. It brought out the flavors & we didn't get huge bites of onion (which is just our personal preference). Thanks for an amazing versatile meal that my family will be making from now on!

  160. These were really good, Gina. Since it's fall, we have fresh venison on hand so I used venison burger instead of turkey – my husband loved them. I also didn't have panko, but used seasoned whole wheat bread crumbs and the meatballs still tasted great. I made some simple fried rice, which increases the points, but it was worth it. Thanks, Gina!

  161. Gina, this recipe is fantastic! The flavor is absolutely amazing! I also made the Fried Brown Rice to go with- what a great meal along with broccoli! I will definitely be making this often!! Thank you so much! ~Amy 🙂

I just pulled them out of the oven and snuck one in my mouth. Whoa mamma! These are so good. The lime in the dipping sauce really brightens it up. I might have to go and sneak another!

  163. Just made these and I have to say they are wonderful. Taste is so fresh and yummy! Love your site, so glad I ran into by accident.

  164. I made these Friday night and served them with brown rice & steamed edamame. YUM!!! We both agreed that it is a definite "do again!" Thank you for yet another new favorite recipe!! 🙂

  165. I made these yesterday and they were delish, even though I forgot to add the cilantro, oh well! My family went nuts for the dipping sauce and put it on the steamed green beans we had with them! We also had the pineapple shrimp rice with them! The rice was good, but my timing was off so the shrimp got gummy, next time I would just use veggies in it, like red and green pepper! Thanks for the great recipes, -24.8 lbs. Mostly thanks to you!

  166. Hi Gina! I made these tonight, but I modified the sauce a little bit. I added some Sriracha and chopped up some Serrano chiles and put them in with the scallions! I was originally going to put them in with the meatballs, but I forgot and thus modified! Thank you so much for all of your great recipes!

  167. I am obsessed with these. I make a batch once a week. I have starting making an "asian meatball bowl" with brown rice, romaine lettuce, avocado, cucumber, topped with meatballs and dipping sauce. It is SO SO good.

  168. One of our family's favorite recipes. The dish is fabulous as is and everyone fights over who gets the last one. Thank you!!!

  169. OMGosh…These were absolutely fab!!! I've made three of your dishes this week — Thai Coconut Shrimp, Vietnamese Shaking Beef (Bo Luc Lac) and now this. My husband says I'm three for three. I plan to make chicken tomorrow and he insists I try another one of your recipes. Thanks so much for healthy food that tastes delish!

  170. Deeee-lish, can't wait to make these again. The dipping sauce is fabulous. Even my picky little eater thought they were worth trying… can now add these to her short "Foods-I'll-eat List".

  171. These little gems are to die for! Wow is all I can say. And the dipping sauce is soooo good! My mouth is watering just thinking about them.

  172. these are absolutely addicting! my absolute favorite to make. i have all the pantry ingredients now (i had to purchase the sesame oil etc) but now I have enough to make these time and time again. i have class at night and many people tend to bring their dinners there and I opened up my container and EVERYONE raved about how yummy they smelled. :o) thanks Gina!

  173. Made these last night and they were SO good. Made with fried brown rice (added brocholi and onion and mushrooms to up veggies). My kids both said it was a repeat and ate every single last one of them!

  174. So good and I don't even care for ground turkey! Even reheated the leftovers gently in microwave and still so very good! Thank you Gina!!

  175. Oh My goodness.
Did not have turkey so used lean beef instead.. then did not have brown rice so used my white instead.
    This was delicious…….
Thank you thank you thank you.
there are only 2 meatballs left and we are only 2….
will have to make these again.
    Colette

  176. I'm making these tonight. don't have ground turkey so going to use ground beef.. Cannot wait. sounds yummy

  177. I just made these tonight.. what a fantastic meal! Thanks for posting such wonderful meals for the family. We are eating healthier and enjoying dinner so much more now.

    These were great.
I modified them to be more paleo primal subbing coconut flour for Panko
    Thanks so much

  179. My 3 year old and I made these for dinner tonight with an asparagus and avocado salad. We both loved the meat balls and the dipping sauce and it was great fun shaping the meatballs together! Thanks. I just found your site and have passed it on to those I know will love it.

  180. I just made these tonight for the first time and they were SO good! The sauce definitely makes this dish (although the meatballs were pretty amazing too)! I would definitely double the sauce the next time I make these. I forgot to add the sesame oil to the meatballs, but they were still really good – can't wait to see how good they are with the oil added. I served these with your brown fried rice, which I added a thawed package of frozen chopped broccoli to. The rice was a little soggy (a problem I usually run into when making rice), but still really good. I don't belong to WW, but your sight is my new go-to place to find new recipes because I know they'll be healthy, flavorful and easy to prepare. I haven't been disappointed yet! Thank you Gina!!

  181. Even though it's been said a hundred times already. OMG GOOD!!!!!!!! 🙂 🙂 🙂 I made these tonight and am eating them as I type over rice with egg and scallions. SO GOOD.

  182. I've already made this recipe twice in the last couple of weeks because it's so yummy! These really have so much flavor and my husband and I both love the lime dipping sauce. Gina, I found your website through a friend and have been using your recipes nonstop since, especially since I'm trying to lose weight. So far, with my dieting, exercise, and preparing healthier dinners, I've lost 25 lbs. and am trying to lose 15 more. Thanks so much for the great recipes and including the nutritional info!

  183. This is an awesome recipe! Served it with steamed broccoli and brown rice. Three cheers for Gina!

  184. Wow. This was incredible. My wife was blown away by how good it was. I replaced half of the 93/7 ground turkey with 99/1 and it was still really juicy. The ginger, scallions, and cilantro go together so well!

  185. These were great. Swapped the cilantro out for parsley but made it exactly as written otherwise. Thanks for another great recipe!

  186. Just made these…again. They never get old! Love, love, love them.

  187. Gina – love your site! My roommate and I stumbled onto it a little over a month ago and we have now made too many of your dishes to count. They are all simple, natural, and healthy! My favorite thing about this recipe is that the flavors all come together so that you're not just tasting one particular spice, but a beautiful blend of yummy that just explodes in your mouth! Thanks for making such great recipes so accessible!

Side note – I used jarred minced ginger and it was delicious!

  188. I made these the first time on 3/15/11 before this recipe, I hated ground turkey. I am making these meatballs for dinner tonight, for the third time in less than a month. Last time I made them, I doubled the recipe so I could put a batch in the freezer for an easy dinner. They didn't make it to the freezer! I have shared this recipe/website with many people and everyone LOVES it. Thank you for all you do.

This would work with beef, I would use super lean beef.

Amalia, great!! I actually love turkey in meatballs, even my skinny Italian meatballs are great. I prefer 93% lean most of the time, the 99% can be pretty dry. Try my meatloaf, you'll love it!

  190. I have never commented on someone's recipe before, but I have to say….these were one of the best things I've ever recreated. I was not a fan of ground turkey the last time I cooked with it, but this has totally converted me. I'm drooling over some of your other recipes now!!

  191. I know this isn't very "skinny", but do you think it would work to use ground beef for these?? After reading everyone's comments, I am totally drooling!!! But, I don't have any ground turkey right now. Just good grass fed beef. What are your thoughts?

  192. Thanks Gina – just found your site a few days ago. Yesterday we made these meatballs and today was your chili recipe. Both were hits with my family and I feel really good about serving healthy low-fat food. Looking forward to making more of your dishes!

Doreen, my friend had a dinner party this weekend and made these for me, lol. I loved them even more because I wasn't doing the cooking!

  194. I have made these a number of times and they really are our favorite meatballs! I always make them much smaller (so you can have more) and in a double batch to bake and freeze. These freeze really well when they are precooked. I just make my dipping sauce fresh each time.

  195. Avatar photo
    Gina @ Skinnytaste

Kelly, smaller would be fine. Not sure why our points came out different though.

momtocarina, I'm also a mom to Karina (my older daughter) So happy you all liked it, Basil Bee too!

  196. I second momtocarina! I made them on Monday night and my husband and I devoured them! They made excellent leftovers too for him to take to lunch. I actaully forgot the ginger though haha so ill have to add that next time, probably next week! Yum and thanks! I gave you a shout out on my blog…www.thebasilbee.blogspot.com

  197. These were absoulutely the best meatballs I have ever made. I played with the sauce a bit- I also thought it was a bit too sesame-oilish so I added 1 tbsp more soy sauce, some ginger, 1 tbsp sweet chili sauce, and a sprinkle of Truvia.

My daughter cleaned her plate and asked for more, which NEVER happens with protein. Ever. And my hubby, who usually hates ground turkey, loved these as well. I am going to make a double batch over the weekend and freeze them. I hope it works!

  198. Hi Gina. I put your stats in my Points Plus calculator and I came up with 6 PP. You didn't list fiber so I put 0 but was just curious how you got 7 PP. Also I was going to make the meatballs smaller than 1/4 cup size. Maybe half that size. Do you think they will still turn out okay doing that? Looks like a great dish and I plan to make it tonight!

I'm jealous!! I'm not a fan of ground chicken breast but that would be the leanest option for you.

  200. Gina! I just want to start off by saying, I love your recipes! I have a little question for you… many of your recipes require the use of ground turkey, however, I am working abroad and ground turkey is just not found here in the Dominican Republic! Do you think I could substitute lean ground beef or ground chicken? Which would be the better option in your opinion?

    Thanks!

Not sure, I just checked and I'm still getting 228, are you using cooked weight for the turkey? Cooked weight is 16 oz.

  202. Hi Gina – I came up with 7 points, however, my calories per serving was ~280. Not sure how yours is 229.

  203. Avatar photo
    Gina @ Skinnytaste

Meat weighs less after it cooks, so nutritional info is different for cooked vs raw. So you need to make sure if you're calculating raw weight, the ni is for raw weight or it will be off.

  204. So we should enter in turkey as cooked instead of raw? I'm not understanding why there would be a difference between raw and cooked.

  205. Love these! I serve them with a little linguine cooked with cabbage, carrots, onions and soy sauce. It really takes care of my chinese food cravings and with no guilt! :O)

  206. Yet another amazing recipe! Thank you so much!! Made this with the fried brown rice and it was fantastic!

  207. Thank you for this recipe. Even though I made a lot of changes to it it was a great jumping off point that I needed for inspiration. Everyone loved the meatballs, I have saved this and plan on making them for Super Bowl.

  208. I made these tonight with ground chicken as I am not a huge turkey fan. The only difference I found was that I needed a touch more panko as chicken is a bit wetter. Still they were fantastic. I plan to use the same seasoning with salmon burgers this weekend.

  209. These were so delicious. My fiance and I both loved them. We might make them as dumplings next time, for wonton soup or just with sauce. Or just make an asian soup stock with smaller meatballs. Or maybe make a meatloaf with this mixture. Anything as long as we can eat them again. Thanks!!

  210. I've made these twice now, and been thrilled with the results both times.

The first time, I used the 93%-lean ground turkey. The second time, I used the 99%-lean ground turkey breast. With the 99%-lean meat, I encountered two main differences: the meatballs were a bit drier and they stuck to the baking pan. Next time, if I use the leaner meat, I will go ahead and spray the pan. As far as the dryness goes: it was a difference, but they were so delicious that I didn't mind it really.

Hannah I just checked my calculations, I knew there was too much dipping sauce (makes 9 tbsp) you only use 5 tbsp, so that extra tsp of oil was not counted. What I should really do is adjust the sauce ingredients.

Also, my turkey is calculated on cooked weight (15 oz) not raw and that seems to be 1 point different.

  212. Avatar photo
    Gina @ Skinnytaste

just wondering, did you put the raw turkey or cooked, makes a difference. listed above is the raw weight.

  213. Sounds delicious, but when I put it in my WW recipe builder, it came to 8 points per serving, not 6. Wonder why the discrepancy?

  214. Yet another hit! I made this with a stir fry of green beans, pea pods, celery, mushrooms, and zucchini. I used the leftover sauce as the sauce for the vegetables. YUM!

  215. Made them exactly as written, served with leftover coconut rice and steamed broccoli, and they were just delicious. I had your roasted butternut squash with brown sugar for desert. Perfect Sunday dinner. Thanks, Gina!

  216. These were absolutely awesome. Everyone loved them. I'm trying to figure out what I can sub for breadcrumbs to make them for my gluten-free MIL.

  217. Just wanted to let you know that I'm the cook for my family of nine, and everytime I make one of your recipies my family is overjoyed! We love them all… even the family members who don't follow the WW plan love your dishes! Thank you so much. I am making these for dinner – my family loves them. 🙂

  218. This is my favorite recipe on this site!! So delish!! Don't have my new calculator handy! Hope the new points are good!!!!!

Aren't they good! I'm going to a Christmas party, I'm making these as an app, mini ones with dipping sauce and toothpicks. I'm also making mini Greek meatballs with Tzaziki and mini Italian Meatballs. Fun!!

  220. This was absolutely delectable. The only thing I did differently was grate the ginger and garlic. My Family are ground beef eaters, but recently, we've been attempting to eat healthier. For us, ground turkey isn't an easy food to like, but in this dish the turkey was perfect. We didn't miss the beef at all! Its my new favorite recipe for ground turkey!

  221. Hi! Love the site. I'd like to try these, but I was interested in the "oven fried brown rice" you mentioned. I've never heard of that. Can you explain? Sounds good.

GoodbyeGrl- Ooh that's fun!! I love love Asian food, an Asian Thanksgiving is such a neat idea. Lots of stir fried side dishes!

DT- I love the idea of using this as dumpling filling. Thanks for the idea, my husband will love it!

  223. Gina, these are fantastic! Our whole family loved them. My husband is Chinese and we think these taste just like a dumpling filling. I was wondering what to do for Chinese New Year – now I know! Thank you so much!

  224. Thought you might like to know, you've inspired my family to embark on an Asian inspired Thanksgiving this year…starting with these amazing sounding meatballs…I can't wait!

  225. We made them with ground chicken instead of turkey, because it was much cheaper at our grocery store. They were AWESOME!!

  226. I only have 99% fat free turkey. Can I substitute this instead of 93% and if so do I need to make any changes to the recipe to compensate for the lack of fat?? thanks!

  227. OMG Gina, I made this again today but added it to a noodle soup and it was delicious. I added a tab of the dipping sauce into the broth… I love this recipe!

  228. I made these last night and I can't stop eating them! They are delicious! I like them without the dipping sauce. Next time I make them I think I will use less ginger, but ginger or not, they are amazing!

  229. I made these for the first time tonight.. really yummy! I did use 99% fat free turkey (and even forgot to put in the egg) and they were not dry at all..Thanks!

I've had this recipe bookmarked for ages, but just got around to making it tonight. Holy yum!! This recipe was so easy and so delicious. Thanks for sharing.

  231. We made these this evening. I thought they were delicous. My oven didn't go to 500, so I baked them at 425 and just kept an eye on them. I did the fried brown rice and instead of adding soy sauce, I just added the rest of the dipping sauce. I saw another post about adding sesame seeds to the sauce and I toasted those first. This will be on my fav's list for a long while.

    So happy everyone loves these!!

Fresh Ginger which I keep in my freezer btw. It's easy to grate and lasts longer.

  234. Gina, I made these tonight with stir fried sechuan broccoli and my husband and son both loved them, as did I! We will definitely make them again, but perhaps half the size. Yum!

@chris- 1 tbsp sounds perfect. It's a matter of taste.

@Stormy- The sauce is what makes this! See what your group thinks!

I just finished preparing these Asian turkey meatballs. These are terrific! I have never tasted turkey meatballs that were so tasty and delicious. I am trying to find ways to eliminate beef from my diet and this is a good start! However, I am not too fond of the sauce. Is there another sauce you can recommend? I am going to try these out on my Soul of Cinema group!

  237. I think the ginger is what makes them taste so good! 🙂 I put a full tbsp in mine. I have made them so many times now, I have lost count 🙂

  238. hi gina thank you so much for your wonderful recipes. i have made chicken and white bean enchiladas w/creamy salsa verde twice in the last 2 weeks and they are HEAVENLY. my hubby LOVES this recipe and that is saying alot as he can be a very picky eater but they are now his favorite enchilada recipe. i could not believe how easy the salsa verde was to make and i will never ever buy a canned sauce again. EVER!!

now i want to make your asian turkey meatballs this coming week and have a question re: the ginger..your recipe calls for 1tablespoon..is that correct and your instructions do not call for it but you do indeed include it? thanks so much for all of your hard work with this site..it is just beautiful and the recipes sound so yummy.. warm regards chris

I give up printing your recipes, it's a waste of paper. When I use your button to print Thai Coconut Curry Shrimp, the recipe printed on page one and I had 7 more pages of just page 2 of 8 etc. Tried Asian Turkey Meatballs and got 15 pages"

I have the same problem, I love your recipes, how can I print your recipe without the pictures and wasted paper.

  240. It's your web browser, you have to update Internet Explorer (free). Or use Firefox, it's free and no issues with printing.

  241. I give up printing your recipes, it's a waste of paper. When I use your button to print Thai Coconut Curry Shrimp, the recipe printed on page one and I had 7 more pages of just page 2 of 8 etc. Tried Asian Turkey Meatballs and got 15 pages wasted!

  242. hi gina on the fried rice recipe with the meatballs is the points including that or is it seperate?

  243. These were SO good. I'm adding this to my recipe box! Kids and adults loved them. I also made the brown fried rice. Thank you for a wonderful website, complete with delicious recipes and pictures!

  244. I never send comments but just had to say how easy and yummy these were to make! My kids really liked them (no easy feat with a 2 year old). I have copied down several of your recipes to try this week and can't wait to see how those turn out!

  245. @Emmy- Cilantro is not for everyone!! Thanks for sharing your version.

@skynymini Great, Glad you liked it!!

  246. This is the first recipe of yours I've tried, it was SO good! We had brown rice and green beans with it. Even my mom and brother loved it, and they are very picky! 😉 Tonight I'm making the minestrone in the crock pot. Smells so good in here! Can't wait to try more of your recipes, so glad I found this site!

  247. Hi Gina – I made this last night and it was delicious, but I want to offer a few comments/suggestions: 1) I found that the cilantro was way too heavy. I could have cut it back by half and it still would have been enough. 2) I think between the sesame seed oil in the meatballs AND the sauce, it was just WAY too much. My bf and I were both sick because it was just too oily (and we ate the correct portions – actually less!) I plan to make them again, using 1/2 of the cilantro and half of the sesame oil in the meatballs. Also, I found that the meatballs so flavorful, that I didn't even need the sauce. Depsite all that, it was a delicious recipe that will be in permanent rotation. 🙂

  248. Love these! My 6 year old son thought I was trying to trick him b/c I said we were having meatballs and these didn't look like the meatballs I make with pasta! I served them over brown rice and added some egg whites and stirfry veggies to the rice. I can't wait to make these as an appetizer! Someone mentioned serving them with hot mustard and I think that is a great idea to have a variety of dipping sauces when served as an appetizer. YUMMY!

  249. I don't recall, I'll make it again this week and post it! I have some turkey so I'll be making these meatballs!

  250. 8 thumbs up from my family!!!
So so good. I added some hot mustard to the dipping sauce to give it a little kick and it was awesome!
    Thanks for this.
    KIM

  251. Hi Gina,
I love the recipes! I'm trying this one tonight. I saw on the comments that you make the fried brown rice with the meatballs and I was curious on how many points the rice would be?

  252. I know, it's hard not to eat them all! My trick to not overeating is to make a big salad and a healthy veggie on the side! Edamame is great with this!

  253. mmmmmmm.. these were so good! The only problem was I wanted to keep eating them!!! My plan was to warm some up the next day for lunch, but I kept going back for more!

This is my 10th recipe I've tried of yours, and they have all been amazing!! 🙂

  254. I made this tonight and they turned out great even though I had to use regular seasoned breadcrumbs instead of panko crumbs (which I could have sworn I had on hand-grrr!). I really like the dipping sauce with them. Next time I'm going to make them smaller and serve them with soba noodles tossed with some of the dipping sauce and sprinkled with toasted sesame seeds (1 tsp of s.seeds is 0pts!). Thanks for the great recipe, Gina!!

We made these for dinner last night. SO YUMMY! I had forgotten to add the garlic and ginger, but they still tasted super awesome. Also, I used key lime juice instead of regular lime juice (I picked up the wrong container at the grocery store!) so the dipping sauce had just a bit of sweetness to it. My hubby LOVED it! We will definitely make these again!!

  256. This was the first recipe I tried and I was instantly hooked.

Delicious with fried brown rice; I love the idea for an appetizer too; I will have to add it to my list of app options.

Thanks for making WW so much easier!

  257. Hi Gina

Midway through, do we need to flip or turn the meatballs, or do I just let it sit on the one side for 15 min? This looks delicious! Can't wait to make it tonight.

  258. My husband and I have made these several times with the cilantro lime rice and they are superb! Thanks so much for sharing your recipes and mouthwatering photos!

  259. Oh, these were delicious. I served them with fried brown rice and steamed broccoli. Thank you for the low WW points recipes that are so unique and easy to make! I made the cilantro lime shrimp last night, and the Santa Fe Croc Pot Chicken is tomorrow's dinner. Way to go, Gina!

  260. Oh, I just found the answer to my own question (what are panko crumbs) in a previous post… can you find that anywhere?? What can I use to substitute if I can't find it?? Thank you!!

  261. This may be a dumb question, but what are panko crumbs?? Just found you website and I'm loving it! So many great recipes!

Made these tonight with an asian salad on the side. YUMMY! I added a little grated lime zest to intensify the flavor and wowzers..SOOO good. I am definetly making these again. So dificult to find great turkey recipes. I wonder if these could be made into burgers on the stovetop-possible? We had asian chicken burgers at a resturant the other day and I wonder if they could be duplicated with turkey since ground chicken is so expensive.

  263. @Melissa and Becky- Thank you!! A picture is worth a thousand words, and I'm glad they flavor lives up to my photos!! Becky, I really have hopes to make a cookbook. Thanks for your encouragement.

  264. This recipe was amazing! I made it the other day for me and my husband and we both loved it. The dipping sauce tastes just like the sauce they serve you at your table at PF Changs.

Gina-I stumbled upon your website when searching for WW recipes and am so happy I did! I have made several of your recipes and I love how flavorful they all are! My husband is amazed they are healthy. Your photography is what initially drew me to your recipes, it is beautiful. You really should publish a recipe book.

  265. WHOA!!!!!! I just made these today, i'm actually sitting eating them right now. SO YUMMY. Better than dining out for sure. I love your recipes thankyou so much. I've done ww for a long time and their food has always been lacking in flavour. Not this!! Good thing I made a double batch…making the second round tomorrow!

    Thanks Gina!

  266. I made these tonight and just LOVED them! I've sent the recipe along to my friends and they all agreed that they sound amazing. Glad I can let them know they are:) THANK YOU!

  267. It might be a mix, I'm not sure. It says 93% lean on the package. I have not tried it with the 99% lean turkey, I'm not sure if it would be too dry. If anyone tries it let me know!

  268. Hi Gina,

These meatballs sound wonderful! I'm new to your site and I was wondering if when you call for 93% lean ground turkey, do you use turkey breast only or is a mix OK? Thank you for providing such an important service for those of us seeking to eat healthier!

  269. yay, 30 lbs!! I love that you are making a recipe each night from my site!!

@Dee= the really are party worthy!!

  270. Yes!! these are the BEST! We are going to make them for an upcoming party and have them in a chaffing dish!

  271. Gina,
These meatballs were wonderful! We ate them with broccoli and enjoyed dipping that into the extra sauce too! One of the best recipes that we have tried from your site! Thanks for all the great recipes. We have been making one of your recipes each night for dinner for 2 months and both my husband and I have lost 30 lbs. doing so! Thanks!

  272. A friend shared your website with me and I am so glad she did! I haven't found a recipe yet that doesn't look/sound delicious! I'm definitely trying these meatballs out soon. Thank you! 😀

  273. Gina, these are addicting. I've made them 3 times since I found this post about 3 weeks ago. I even made them into appetizer size to serve at a party. Big hit!

  274. I came back to these last night and served them hot over spring greens, so they wilted just a little, with a little of the dipping sauce drizzled as a dressing – YUM!! AND Oh so filling!!

  275. I made this recipe in the form of little 1 inch meatballs for our Superbowl party yesterday. (I used the "extra lean ground turkey.) They were a huge hit. There was not a single meatball left!!

  276. I made these and they tasted great. My 3 year old even said "o-kawari!", which roughly means "more please!". Thanks for the great recipe. When my wife gets home from work, she's going to have them too.

A question. I see "panko" a lot in recipes. I was wondering if there's a difference between them and breadcrumbs? In Japan, "panko" means breadcrumbs. How long have we used it in English?

  277. Loved these, and so did my BF. I honestly think he enjoys your website more than I do. Also, for those who are feeling spicy…add a little chili paste/sauce for an extra kick!

Loved these so much! Thanks. My husband loved them, too. We made them appetizer size. Oh, so good.

  279. Hey Gina,
this recipe is amazing! they disappeared so quickly at my house, i couldnt beleive it 🙂 i am going to try making turkey burgers with this recipe as well, i think it will be a nice twist!
Thanks again for the amazing recipes.

  280. gina, thanks for this recipie! i made it tonight for dinner. my boyfriend and i loved it! it didnt take that long to make at all. i definately will make this again!

i took the remaining dipping sauce that i didnt use (you were right 1 tbsp was just enough) and sauted some green beans in it. it tastes great.

  281. SUPER YUM! I just finished cooking this meal. I took Lindsey's advice and served it with broccoli. I actually think it would be really nice served with bok choy or even an asian salad!

  282. Had these last night. They were so easy and delicious. My sons 14 and 11 loved them! We are having spahgetti squash and meat sauce tonight. Gina, your photography made me want to try these recipes!

  283. I had friends over for dinner and made the meatballs with brown rice and broccoli. There wasn't a single crumb left over, everyone loved them!!! When I told everyone that it was weight watchers friendly not a single person believed me, especially the guys! Thanks for taking the time to post such wonderful recipes. Every time I try one, I love it!!!

  284. Hi Gina – I made this recipe tonight. Sooo good! Both my teenage son and husband loved it. Good thing that I put some aside for myself or else I might not have had a chance to taste them. Thanks for sharing!

  285. OH MY! I fixed these tonight and they were even BETTER than I could have imagined!! Thank you for the recipe!! YUM!!

  286. Sure! Cook the brown rice. Scramble an egg with nonstick spray in a skillet and set aside. Add sesame oil and cooked rice to the skillet, chopped scallions, soy sauce and Asian fish Sauce if you have and saute a few minutes.

  287. Gina…LOVE this website! Would you mind telling me how you did your fried brown rice?
    Thanks so much!

The lime sesame sauce sounds really good. Good enough to even toss over rice or noodles. Mmmm!

  290. This looks so yummy!
We can't easily get turkey in Singapore…how do you think it will taste with lean ground beef?

  291. Oooh these look (and sound) so good, I might give them a try this week. I made your yummy taco chili at the weekend but forgot to take a pic of it, I used your pic on my blog and linked back to you to give credit. I hope that is ok, please let me know if it's not, and I will remove it.
Thanks for sharing all your great recipes. Hope your new little one is doing well.

      Gina,
I use your recipes almost everyday… at least 4-5 times a week! I am so thankful for you and your blog! I lost nearly 80 pounds and have maintained my weight loss for nearly 2 years, all of which time I have used your recipes… I have said from the beginning, if it tastes like diet food I am not eating it and you have shown how healthy clean food can also taste incredible and doesn't mean missing out on things we all love! Thank you, I am trying these meatballs tonight with brown rice and your mango asian coleslaw, we are looking forward to the flavor attack tonight! Thank you again!
