Hi, can I use semi-sweet chocolate chips for this recipe?
Oh these are just gorgeous! They look so mouthwateringly delicious and what a simple recipe. Can't wait to try these out. Have to get one before the Hubby and kids eat them all though!
Can i do that with bananas instead? thx
you have to make sure they are dry and room temperature. before you dip in chocolate.
If you put in fridge to harden make sure you take them out after 10 minutes..
I wanted to make these for V-Day tomorrow, are they okay to store over night in the refrigerator?
Made these tonight…the perfect treat, just the right amount of sweetness. I rolled one of my chocolate covered strawberries in a few sliced almonds..tasty!
When I make chocolate covered strawberries, I always find my strawberries turn runny. I don't know how to describes. It's like there is a moisture between the strawberry and the chocolate. I have tried each individually, or even washing them and spreading them out to dry over night. Is it because I keep my strawberries in the refridgerator and then are cold when I use them. That's the only thing I can think of. Any one have any suggestions?
Instead of getting the semi chocolate i am going to use my Chocolate Fondue warmer that scentsy has just came out with!:) The belgium chocolate is gluten free and its so good! The warmer melts the chocolate for you just like a regular scentsy warmer! if your interested in more information about it then please feel free to visit my site at www.bridgetehedge.velata.us 🙂 Can't wait to have some chocolate covered strawberries!!! 🙂 Yummy!!
I made these for my Book Group last night and they were so impressed. The best part was they were so easy and elegant!

I've got a chocolate fondue set that I use for this very purpose. Bananas also taste great covered in chocolate…but then again so do most things I guess!
@Missy- WOW! That's truly a special date for you!
@FoodieGirl- Chocolate covered jalapenos? I can't quite picture that! I've had chocolate covered pretzels, marshmellows, bananas even! I guess you can cover anything in chocolate and it would taste good 🙂
@WeightWatcherPoints- Isn't it nice to be reminded?

I work in the grocery business and they are telling us there is going to be a shortage on strawberries for Valentine's Day. Which sucks since they are my favorites.
Here's a good one to try. Chocolate covered jalapenos. Weird, but soo good. Spicy chocolate!
Thank you Gina. It truly is a romantic wedding date. It's also our last childs birthday. She will be turning 10 this year. I think it was fate when we decided we were done having children and she came to us on our 6th Anniversary.
