  1. I would LOVE this!!!! What an awesome service - I love the "drag-and-drop." I've been trying to do something similar in excel but I still have to type everything in. This is amazing! Thanks, Gina!

  2. Wow! This would be awesome for my husband. He keeps track of everything by writing it down in his little book- nice!

  3. This application looks AMAZING! My biggest problem with a lot of the meal planning apps I've found is that it creates a shopping list and you cant get rid of the things you already have, so you're lugging a huge list with things like salt and olive oil on it every time. This one, though... you can remove the things you already have! I think I'm in love.

  4. That is fantastic! My husband and I always try to plan our meals on the fridge and have a hard time sticking to it! Thanks for the chance at this... Heatherbuckley3@gmail.com

  15. I already meal plan every week, but this would be great. I love the drag and drop feature. I was thinking that it would take a LOT of time to input all of my own recipes, but then I noticed that they have a feature where you can upload recipes from websites. THAT would be awesome since most of my recipes come from the web.

  16. Oh awesome! I've been looking for a easy to use meal planning site. I've signed up for the 30 day trial!

  24. My husband and I make a weekly menu and grocery shopping list before we go to the grocery store. However, I am always forgetting SOMETHING from one of the recipes we use. This program looks like it will make it SO much easier to just click a button and everything will be there on a shopping list. Also, we always have trouble figuring our what recipes we like to make all the time because they are scattered in recipe books, online, and in e-mail. This program will make it easier to see all of our recipes in one place! Thanks for telling about this great program!

  25. Oh my word, this looks fantastic!

  26. OMG! This is fantastic. Right now I record everything I eat and/or plan to eat in a day in a notebook. I have tried to create something on the computer to make it easier, but it was even more time consuming. This is definitely the best way to keep track. LOVE IT!

  30. @Tamera, I'm discarding your comment only because you aren't participating. No hard feelings!! I just want an accurate count. I usually don't comment on my own giveaways but I just want you all to know that you can easily copy and paste recipes from my blog and others. Rather than using the "Bulk Import" at the top you go to "Normal Input", then scroll down to "Ingredients", use the "Bulk Import" tab and paste all the ingredients. Then you can paste the directions. See the diagram above where I pasted my Stuffed Artichoke Recipe. I also discovered it's best to put the point value next to the name so the points show up on the calendar. Hope that helps!!

  31. I love Plan To Eat! I've created "course" categories for each Main Course meat. For example "Main Course - Ground Turkey" or "Main Course - BSCB" (Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breasts) and I love that I can organize my recipes by the type of meat they use so I can meal plan based on meat sales or what's in my freezer that needs to be used up!

  52. This looks like a great idea! The biggest pain I've always had from meal planning is making up the list. My husband and I are currently using e-mealz, which is great because I don't have to meal plan, but I've found that each week the recipes are brand new and I'm not always sure we're going to like them. Plus, we have some staple WW meals (and some of yours of course!) that I'd like to make w/o having to draw up a 2nd grocery list. I would definitely love a subscription to this!

    ReplyDelete
  53. I could definitely use a tool like this! Compiling a list and shopping is my least favorite part. Favorite part is eating. :)

    ReplyDelete
  54. This sounds great I cant wait to test it, if it saves me time during the week it is well worth the cost.

  57. I use MasterCook and I wish I saw this before I bought it. Plan to Eat is A LOT easier to use than MasterCook! I love it.

I like how I can drag and drop and make up my menus. I love the bulk import.

  68. This is for me the very first planner which is a breeze to use. I already registered myself for the first 30 days trial.

However, I found some tiny mistakes, or better to say some needs for 'little corrections' that would make its use much better. E.g. the program at this moment doesn't give chance to delete those items we added to a list, where we either made spelling mistake, or simple just would like to delete an additional item from there. Where could I send my suggestions?

Anyway, a lot thanks for the opportunity :-))

    ReplyDelete
  69. Hi @Ancsa, thanks for the feedback.

The ability to edit the courses and cuisines is on my to-do list. I'm assuming that is what you asking for? You can manage the grocery categories, and it will work a lot like that for the Courses and Cuisines.

You can send suggestions to our community forum. To access it, when logged in, click the 'help' link at the top right of the page or the 'community' link at the bottom of the page.

  72. Thank you so much for this find! I am a mother of three young girls, in addition to being a very busy college student, and planning out what is going to be on the menu for the week use to be a pain. I would make a list of meals, then go through and write each item for the meal, then go an organize them according to categories (Dairy, Produce..etc) to make shopping with them easier. This site does it all for me! ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! I showed my husband and he got all excited because it will help me mix things up.

Thanks for all your great recipes and resources Gina! (I would like to add, I choose your stuff over that Hungry Girl chicks all the time- taste better!)

I've signed up for the 30 day trial and plan to play around with it and, hopefully, have something that will work well for me!

  100. Oh. My. God. This site is AMAZING. I am not typically a giddy person, but I can't tell you how long I have yearned to have a tool like this. My excel spreadsheet for meal planning and shopping was just not cutting it. I love the ability to import from websites, I love the bulk method, Love that there's a shopping list feature. Can I seriously marry this tool, or is that too much too soon? ; )

The only bug I encountered so far was during the bulk input - for some reason it doesn't save the description so I have to repaste it on the next screen. But if that's

  111. I usually do a weekly meal plan based upon WW meals/recipes. I keep track on a scrap piece of paper what I am making for the week and sometimes this paper gets misplaced or tossed...it seems if it falls from the fridge, others in the house toss it rather than rehang...ugh. Anyhoo, I love the drag and drop feature. I love having all my WW recipes in one spot. it really doesn't take that long to upload recipes to the site using the bulk add. I spent about an hour on the site tonight and was happy with all I found.
Would love to see an iPhone app. ;)
I will certainly extend my 30 day trial if I do not win this generous give away. Thanks for sharing it! Lisa ( ldelisi at nextmediachicago dot com)
