At the end of each year, I have a bit of “down time” to reflect on the past twelve months and think about the new year ahead. What a busy year this has been for me!
During these past 12 months my oldest daughter traveled to Europe, got a part-time job, went college hunting and got acceptance letters! I can’t tell you how proud she makes me watching her mature into a young lady. And as this was all happening, my newborn, who just turned one experienced huge milestones each month, from cooing, to crawling, eating solids, standing, talking and now just about walking.
And somehow through this all, I managed to find the time to continue posting recipes. I just want to express how grateful and humbly thankful I am for the support of all of you, who faithfully follow my blog, leave comments, share your recipes, and spread the word. You all keep me motivated to do what I do.
I asked my facebook and twitter followers to share their favorite recipes from 2010, and the response was overwhelming so I narrowed it down to 20. Here they are in no particular order…

Hey a friend just told me about your blog because I want to start intentionally cooking healthier and didn't know where to start. It's been great. Since I have a hard time making decisions on what to make and to get out of my box I decided on trying to make your top 20 of 2010. I blogged about my experience. Check it out. http://crystalleblanc.blogspot.com/ Thanks! I want to continue to try your recipes.

Roxann, that's a huge compliment! And I love that chicken too!!
I've tried 4 of your top 20 recipes and loved every one of them. I'll have to work my way through the rest of your top 20 list!
One of my favorite recipes that didn't make your list is your Pollo Sabroso…it's name is SO fitting (Delicious Chicken)! Every time I make this for company they rave about it.
I love your blog! I also discovered it when I started Weight Watchers and it's a terrific resource…and not just for low point meals..the recipes are just plain tasty!
I started weightwatchers a couple weeks ago and was on the hunt for meal ideas… I came across your site by googling "low point meals". Boy, am I glad I did! What a find! So far this week I have made the Asian Turkey Meatballs, the Cilantro Lime Shrimp, and the Spinach Lasagna Rolls. All were delicious and easy to make! I have already printed another 10 or so recipes I can't wait to try. My hubby (who is not on a weight loss plan) also loved your recipes. Thanks for giving us so many yummy options and making it easier to plan low point meals!
Great list! I have personally made 6 of these dishes and they are my favorite!! Can't wait to try the others. Thanks again for sharing your recipes.

Gina,
I can't believe that no one has mentioned your AWESOME Banana Pancakes! They are my favorite! I also made your pumpkin butter last week and had RAVE REVIEWS! Thank you so much for your skinny recipes and listing the WW points. I'm at goal, and you're helping me stay there.
Thank you again,
Teri.
Hi first time i am commenting.. As the new year begins I am in need of advice.. I need to lose 60 lbs and I am thinking about weight watchers?
I see that all your recipes break it down to Points …wow..this is great!! is there a program or software that enables you to put in the ingredients and work out the calories/points etc. Do you feel that Weight Watchers is a good choice for me?
Thanks for posting this list! Diet starts now. Ok now. I mean now!
Just came back from a weekend away, thanks for all your comments!
So glad that the Thai Coconut Curry Shrimp is so high on the list! I loved it, I think it was the first thing I even tried on this site. The Chicken Ropa Vieja, not a fan, but to each her own! Thanks for the great recipes and keep them coming!

Thanks, Gina, for all of the wonderful recipes! I've tried many of them and they never disappoint. Thanks again! Happy New Year!!
I've made several of your recipes and all have been terrific. The broccolo potato and cheddar soup is on the menu for the coming week. Can't wait to taste it.
Gina, I have made dozens of your recipes and a lot of our favorite are on your top 20. Thai shrimp, manicotti and spinach lasanga rolls are the best and requested frequently. Thanks for such great information on your site too. Good luck in 2011, happy new year to everyone.
The Skinny Italian Spinach Meatballs are DELICIOUS!!! We cooked them, then froze them in 5 meatball portions for quick and easy meals! Would definitely recommend them to anyone. And, if you're not a Spinach person – like myself – don't worry, you can barely taste it!! Thanks Gina!
My all time favorite recipe from this list is the Turkey Asian meatballs!! DH LOVES these as well and even asked me to make them again for his birthday.
Gina, your recipes are SO awesome, and I can't thank you enough. I've been "watching" my calories since December 3rd and have lost 7.2 pounds this month! Even with all the holidays, I still used your light recipes and lost! Incredible!!!
Andrea
Gina, wishing you and your family a wonderful 2011 filled with much laughter & love.
Personally, I cannot thank you enough for all that you do on your site, creating new recipes, calculating points.. This is a lot of work and a takes up a lot of your time and I'm truly grateful and very appreciative. I've lost 45lbs and you are a big reason for this.
From the bottom of my heart – thank you.
Lisa
Thank you, Gina, for the delicious recipes you post on your blog! My husband and I started using your recipes each night for dinner August 1 and by Thanksgiving, we had each lost 20 lbs.! The biggest miracle of all is that he hasn't complained about a single dinner in that time! Happy New Year to your family and keep on posting!
Your recipes are yummy and healthy! A few nights ago I made the broccoli, potato and cheddar soup- Huge hit! My husband is a picky eater and he has loved every recipe I've used of yours! A few of our favorites are the soup, lighter baked mac and cheese, spinach lasange, chicken divan (spelling?), crockpot santa fe chicken…
Yesterday at work, coworkers asked what I was eating because it smelled so good- it was your broccoli, potato and cheddar soup! I think I got them hooked on your site too! 🙂
Thank you!!!
I had no idea what to do tonight for new years. Perfect timing for this list! I think I'll try the lasagna rolls. My mom always rolls them, much easier to serve, but the spinach is a delicious twist. I haven't made much from your site though I always salivate over the new recipes in my inbox. The zucchini casserole is a keeper!
Gina, what a great idea!!! This is exciting because I get to see what others really love and give them a try. Your food tastes real and I don't feel bad serving my "diet" food because everybody loves your recipes!
Here's to a great 2011!!!
Gina, you rock!!! I use your recipes all the time. I have lost 25 lbls since May and intend to keep going until I get to goal. Your recipes help immensely. thanks so much! Happy New Year! I also have a daughter getting ready to go to college in the fall…but no newborn! You go girl!
I'm on WW UK, and use your recipes all the time – gorgeous and don't in any way taste 'diet'. Addicted to the split pea with ham soup at the minute, and just about to make the curried coconut BNS soup.
A healthy, happy 2011
x

I can't believe you've found the time to post so many great recipes this yr – with all of your important family events going on! Also – thank you SO much for still including the "old" WW points, as I do not plan on switching – the old way has worked so great for me already! Thank you thank you THANK YOU for making my diet SO much simplier!

Okay I want to make all 20 right now! Happy New Year Gina! xoxo
The Pasta and Bean Soup! I pureed everything before I added the pasta, and it was a creamy, yummy soup during this awfully cold Missouri winter. Your blog ROCKS!!
PS: We're trying the Santa Fe Chicken and the Pork with Mushrooms and Shallots this week. I <3 mushrooms. 🙂
Glad to see the Spinach Manicotti made the list. As a young woman, who never had an interest in cooking, your site has taught me that cooking can be fun and enjoyable…and I am not bad at it! I made the manicotti a few weeks ago for my parents, and they raved about it so much that it was actually requested for Christmas dinner. It was a hit! Thanks for all you do!
Gina-I stumbled upon your website the day after I joined weight watchers and it has been a big help in my weight loss. I have tried several recipes with no complaints from the family. They never knew they were eating healthy meals.
My daughter even ate the spinach in the baked ziti without knowing what she was eating. If you ask her she will tell you she hates spinach! Thanks again and Have a safe and Happy New Year!!
Wow, you have a newborn and a almost college aged daughter?? Glad they are all doing so well!!

The slow cooker apple butter… oh my, that apple butter. My husband and I made 12 jars of it for Christmas gifts (that is 4 batches), and everyone raves over how good it is, how it doesn't taste diet at all. One elderly gentleman that we gave a jar to said that it tasted like the apple butter his mama used to make 60+ years ago.
