I love jalapeno poppers! These spicy jalapeno poppers are a delicious twist on the classic appetizer. A few more of my favorite party apps with jalapenos are Low-Carb Jalapeno Popper “Nachos” and Jalapeno Popper Stuffed Chicken!

These are so good and real easy to make. The perfect hot appetizer for watching them game or getting together with friends. Prep them ahead and bake them just before you’re ready to serve. They should be served hot, so don’t bake them ahead.

The buffalo chicken filling is easy! You can use leftover chicken breast from a rotisserie chicken, or cook it yourself in the slow cooker. Just cover with water or chicken broth and cook 4 hours low, then shred. Add some cream cheese, hot cayenne pepper sauce and scallions and mix them all together! They are mildly spicy, and so good!

Variations and Tips

To make these jalapeno peppers low-carb or gluten free, skip the panko and wrap them with bacon instead.  Just please do yourself a favor and wear gloves when you cut the peppers. And don’t put your hands in your eyes or mouth after, it will burn.

  1. I don’t usually post but I have to say these were really delicious.  We ate them with salsa and they were delicious/. These would be great for a party 🙂

  2. Does anyone think it's possible to make these part of a dinner? Like, serve some with a salad? or soup, maybe?

  3. These are amazingly good! These or your regular jalapeño poppers are a weekly staple for football watching. They freeze well to, just reheat in oven.

  4. I modified the recipe a bit to make it vegetarian. I left out the chicken and egg whites, and just patted the bread crumbs on top of the cream cheese mixture. It turned out great and was delicious!

  5. Making these tonight for my hubby- will definitely instagram it!!!! He loves anything buffalo 🙂 Best of luck with the cookbook xo

  6. I made these this weekend and they were amazing. I went a little crazy and instead of the bread crumbs, wrapped in bacon. I guess it sort of defeated the "skinny" part but SO amazing.

  7. Made these tonight, they were AMAZING! Everyone loved them. Definitely making them again soon, great recipe Gina! 🙂

  8. Does this make 10 or 20 poppers. Also are 2 poppers 2 points? Want to make sure I know how to read details about recipe accurately. I could probably set the whole batch by myself in one sitting. Just don't want to use all my points for the day on these!!!!!!

  9. Made these for Super Bowl and they were fantastic! Couldn't stop eating them! I breaded some and not others and they tasted great both ways. Can't wait to make them again.

So incredible! I wanted to make wings & poppers for the Super Bowl …but came across your recipe at just the right time (this seriously somehow always seems to happen). Only breaded the tops and made homemade breadcrumbs from a loaf of leftover whole wheat french bread from dinner last night. Turned out perfect, and they were a HUGE hit for my Super Bowl gathering! Thank you!

  11. These look so yummy! I love all your recipes. They don't taste like the typical "healthy" foods. You make it so easy to stay on plan. I can't wait to try these out! www.futurehealthymama.blogspot.com
