Your kids will love these Turkey Club Roll Ups packed in their bento style lunchbox!
It’s back-to-school season, which means getting back into routines, especially for meals.
I’ve partnered with ALDI to create a school lunch even most adults would crave! ALDI has all of the healthy and affordable essentials that will help parents and school-age kids easily transition from carefree summer fun to more-structured days with lunches they’ll love all year long. ALDI is obsessed with selling high-quality food at affordable prices. No club cards, no coupons – just value every single day.
The word “Bento” is a Japanese term used to describe a meal in a box. Bento boxes have been quite popular for school lunch these past few years, and happens to be the only type of lunchbox I’ve ever used for Madison because she never liked school lunch or sandwiches. Instead, I always fill her box up with all the foods she loves, and focus on making easy, nutritious lunches bursting with color that I know she will actually eat.
The inspiration from this lunch box actually came from Madison, I usually turn to her for lunch box ideas since she’s the one eating it. She loves tortillas, turkey and bacon so we just rolled them all up together with a little lettuce and mayo and cut them up in bite sized pieces. Then I filled the rest of her lunch box with all her favorites – cucumbers, tomatoes, eggs, grapes, etc.

Variations and Tips
- If your kids don’t like mayo, cream cheese can be used instead.
- Swap the turkey and bacon with ham and cheese.
- You can double or triple the wraps to make-ahead. Wrap tight in plastic, it should be good refrigerated 2 to 3 days.
Tips and Notes for Making Crave-worthy Bento Boxes
- Use small cookie cutters in shapes to cut veggies such as cucumbers, carrots, etc.
- Think of the rainbow and keep everything colorful.
- Prep as much as you can the night before so your mornings are stress free.
- Leave notes in their lunch box, Madison loves when I do!

I’m a teacher and have been making recipes solely from your site for my family for a few months now and to say I love it would be an understatement. I’m so happy for these lunch meal preps for me!! Haha!! So definitely not just kids. Deli chicken and bread gets old after a while but I love to eat healthy so I love this! Can you post more lunch on the go recipes/ideas??? ♥️♥️ Thank you!!
I’ll do my best! Have a great school year!
I used the Never Any! deli style chicken breast, a leaf of romaine leaf whole rather than chopped, olive tapenade hummus, and Colby jack cheese with 1/2 a gluten free tortilla for a delicious snack tonight. Hummus is so good in a roll up!!
So many afordable bento box options available online.
Check out amazon, walmart etc. Not sure why the most afordable grocer is marketing one of the most expensive products? Seems fishy, just saying. The lunch planning options are a terrific change up from traditional pbj or bologna sandwiches!
This lunch looks Healthier I will have to give it a try. my grandson is in kindergarten and he needs this kind of box to carry such foods so where do I get a bento box to suggest me one thanks.

We love Aldi! We come home with PILES of produce at a fraction of the cost we would normally pay at other stores. Definatley helped our health, as well as our budget. Love the cookie cutter cucumber idea.

Any particular brand you like of bento boxes? My daughter begins daycare in 3 weeks and I’m trying to figure out what to put her lunch in.

We have 3 planet boxes. One for each child and one for me. We love them and they have lasted us 5 years of solid use and are still going strong. We did replace the carry bags as they finally got pretty dingy but the boxes themselves are very well made. They are worth every penny!
Do you have a link for this particular box?
0suvh a great idea! My 6 year old grandson would love this lunch!! Can I ask where you bought the bento box? An ALDI store just opened in our area!
