  1. FYI… they work on a gas grill, but taste better on charcoal. Some filipinos add ketchup to the marinade too. But that may increase calories.

  2. Mine is marinating right now for tomorrow's night dinner. I just cleaned up from fixing the swedish meatballs. They were a total hit with my family. I love your website and have already grocery shopped for 6 meals!! I would love suggested sides to go along with the recipes…..like what you typically fix. Thanks!!

Most of the marinade gets tossed, but honestly I will have to remake them to give you the correct calories. As the weather warms I will add them to my list.

  4. I'm doing WW but my husband is just counting calories. How many calories are in the marinade? Thanks so much for this site! I have lost 9 lbs in 3 weeks and my husband has lost 8 lbs now, we love the recipes and it makes eating better so easy and flavorful. Thanks again!

  5. This looks really good! Can you please add the actual calories and other nutritional information you normally add? Thanks! Can't wait to try!

  6. I used this marinade to make chicken skewers, and they were a huge hit. The chicken was nice and tender. Served with grilled pineapple and roasted sweet potatoes. Thanks for another success!

  7. Hi Gina. I live in an apartment and don't have a grill. Any ideas on the best way to cook these? I have a George Forman.

  8. Made these last night and my youngest, who is the hardest to please, gave thumbs up! I've also made the asian glazed chicken, asian turkey meatballs and the carnitas, all with rave reviews! All are SO good!

My filipino friends grandmother used to make these and we were lucky enough to be invited over for dinner several times. They were so yummy. I have these marinating as we speak and it smells just like I remember. I used pork tenderloin cut very thinly which I will skewer onin a ribbon effect. I also threw in some chicken thighs as there was plenty of marinade. Now I have tomorrow's dinner ready too!

I just found your website and I am hooked. I'm curious if you started off by joining WW? Do you have a success weight loss story to inspire me? I need all the help I can get.

  11. What are some good sides to go with the skewers? I will be making them with steak and veggies this weekend. Need some ideas on what to pair with it. Thanks!

  13. Thinking of using this marindade with pork tenderloins then grilling whole. Would like to see a photo of the skewers though.

  14. These were a big hit in my family! My 2-year-old NEVER eats meat and I think she ate about 3 skewers worth!!

  15. Is there information on the portion size? I see how many it makes and what the points are but what exactly is a portion?
