What is an Apple Turnover?

You'll only need a few simple ingredients to make this easy recipe. Let's round them up and get started!

Simple Ingredients

In a nonstick skillet, combine apples, raisins, sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Cover and cook for 15 minutes. Then stir in the cornstarch.

Make the Filling

Remove phyllo from package. Spray with oil and cut in half, long ways, to create two stacks of long, narrow strips.

Cut the Phyllo

Put filling at one end of each stack. Fold one corner over the filling, and continue folding the triangle over itself until you reach the other end.

Fold the Phyllo

Spray the tops lightly with oil, and transfer the turnovers, seam- side down, to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Place on Baking Sheet

Bake at 375°F for about 30 minutes until the phyllo is golden and crispy.

Bake

Let the turnovers cool on the baking sheet for at least 10 minutes. Then, dust with powdered sugar before eating.

Enjoy!
