Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies


These soft and chewy cookies are loaded with chocolate chips in every bite and only two tablespoons of butter in the entire batch!

Simple Ingredients

In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and cinnamon.

Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large bowl, cream together the butter and the sugars on medium speed.

Cream the Butter

Add the egg, followed by the applesauce and vanilla extract.

Add Wet Ingredients

Stir in the flour mixture and oats until just combined. Then add the chocolate chips.


Drop heaping tablespoonfuls of the dough onto baking sheets, flattening each cookie slightly.

Make the Dough Balls

Bake for about 10-12 minutes, then let cool.
