These easy baked apples have a crisp cinnamon-oat topping with a touch of brown sugar. Like individual apple crisps, they’re made with just a few ingredients and no peeling or chopping!
Cut apples in half and remove core and seeds with a small pairing knife or spoon.
In a small bowl combine butter, brown sugar, flour, oats and cinnamon. Spoon on top of the apple halves and sprinkle with cinnamon.
Place on a cookie sheet and bake in the oven for 30 to 35 minutes, depending on the size of the apple. The apples are ready when a paring knife slides easily into the flesh and the oat topping is golden.
Serve warm with a scoop of ice cream, if desired.
