These were always a favorite when I was a kid, my Mom served them anytime we had company. She would set out some duck sauce, totally optional and let everyone dig in. If you prefer to bake them in the oven, you can use oven version here.

And of course, these are low-carb, Whole30 and Keto friendly without the dipping sauce as well as gluten-free.

So easy AND so good! Made for dinner and plenty leftover for lunch.

Big Hit! I love how easy and quickly this comes together…my family just loved everything about it! I served them with a Thai sweet chili sauce. C

  3. Hello, what do you recommend to avoid the smoking out of the airfryer when cooking this recipe .. thx

I made this tonight. Came out great.  I used thick cut bacon and still only had to cook 8 minutes. I have a Ninja air fryer.

  5. These were delicious!! I just didn’t think about the smoke from the bacon in the air fryer 🤦🏼‍♀️

  6. I made this today – I didn’t bother with “bites” as I’m on my own but did two pieces. I had sweet chili sauce in the fridge and leftover potatoes and leeks. To be honest, it was delicious, the chicken was really well-cooked and moist (in my Habor Air Fryer at 200C – no affiliation), slightly crispy bacon. This is an instant favourite.

  7. Hi Gina,  please send a e-mail when your Air Fryer is out in March & where to purchase it.  Thank you Louise lulu7lily@gmail.com

    1. Yes, I made them last night. The bacon doesnt cook as crispy as the air fryer though. She has a link above for the oven recipe. 12 mins, flip then 12 more mins. I’d maybe go a pinch longer for bacon but it might dry chicken out too much.

  8. Followed the recipe – bacon in no way cooked in 8 minutes. If there is a next time I would cook the bacon at least 1/2 -3/4 way then wrap the chicken. This way the chicken will still be moist.

  9. My air fryer only goes up to 370. Any suggestions on adjusting cooking time for these? Thanks so much. Love your recipes and have asked for several of your cookbooks for Christmas!

Gina, not sure my comment sent…congrats on being featured in the Costco Connection magazine! Anyway, what air fryer do you recommend?

  11. Which brand of air fryer do you use? I’m looking at the Philips from Costco.  Any suggestions?

      1. Does your Philips smoke? I bought one and it pours smoke when making burgers / bacon!

  12. Try marinating the chicken in Thai sauce (or whatever) then put them in raw jalapeño halves – THEN wrap in bacon!  That’s how I make these 🙂

  13. I’m curious as to why the oven version is significantly lower in calories.  Is the calculation wrong for one of the versions?

  14. I just wanted to tell you how grateful I am for Skinnytaste.com! I came across your blog / website a couple years ago and really enjoyed the handful of recipes I tried. More recently, I started WW Freestyle, and I cannot express how helpful both your site & recipes have been for me! It’s so nice to be able to search by ‘Points!’ My favorite recipes are your soups, including your ‘cream of’ vegetable soups. They are so, so delicious and are the best way to get a bunch of veggies in without eating a plateful of steamed or raw vegetables. Thanks again!

    PS, these bites look awesome!
