Breaded Pork Cutlets with Lime is one of my family’s favorite dishes! I make this monthly, because they request it!

Pork sirloin cutlets are a lean cut, and taste wonderful breaded and lightly pan fried. My family loves when I make them, and often request that I make them for dinner. A little different than chicken cutlets, these have more of a Latin flair, which we serve with fresh lime juice on top – yum!

It’s very similar to my turkey cutlet recipe, but with more Latin flavors. I season the pork with dry adobo seasoning (salt and garlic powder would be fine too) and I season the egg wash with my homemade sazon for flavor.

Breaded Pork Cutlets with Lime is one of my family's favorite dishes! I make this monthly, because they request it!

Ingredients

  • 4 5 oz thin sliced lean pork sirloin cutlets
  • seasoned salt, such as adobo
  • 2 large egg whites, beaten
  • 1/2 teaspoon sazon, homemade or packaged
  • 1/2 cup seasoned breadcrumbs, or gluten-free crumbs
  • 1 1/2 tbsp olive oil
  • lime wedges for serving

Instructions

  • Season cutlets with 3/4 teaspoon seasoned salt.
  • Place bread crumbs in a medium shallow bowl.
  • In another bowl beat egg whites with sazon.
  • Dip pork cutlets in egg whites, then breadcrumb mixture, shaking off excess.
  • Heat a large nonstick frying pan on medium to medium heat. Add the olive oil and pork cutlets, cook about 6 minutes on each side, until golden brown and no longer pink in the center.
  • Serve with lime wedges.

Air Fryer Instructions

  • After cutlets are breaded spray both sides with oil and air fry at 400F for 4 minutes on each side, or until golden

  5. I love all your recipes that I’ve tried but this is by far my favorite. I made my own sazon with tumeric and the seasoning was just perfect. The squeeze of lime added just the right punch to the pork. Delicious Thank you!!!

  7. Hi Gina! I am such a big fan for many reasons but one is bc of the latin flair in your food. I am Cuban American so I love it! My daughter has an egg allergy and we usually use milk when we bread something for her. You think this would work with this recipe?

  8. This dish seems so simple but it’s a great way to amp up a pork dinner. The sazon was a seasoning we hadn’t used before, but are glad we found it! Everyone in the family loves this dish and there are never leftovers. The fresh punch of lime at the end really elevates it and we serve it with some simple veggies that we can also put some lime on to tie it all together.

  9. What about making these in the air fryer —how would that work and impact the macro nutients?

  10. Just want to clarify that the pork I used in the air fryer wasn’t  thin cutis directed in the recipe. They were regular, yet on the smaller side. 

  11. Gina, I made these in the air fryer tonight and they came out great! I followed your air fryer directions for the breaded pork chops posted recently. I used smaller Natures Promise pork cutlets, and they cooked fine. 6 minutes in one side, 6 on the other. Just got my air fryer tonight (the largest size, Nuwave) and I think I’m going to be hooked! Thanks for all the great recipes over the years!

  12. Superb! I don’t make many pork chops because they just don’t “wow” me, however, your Sazon seasoning sparked an interest so I tried it. Followed your exact recipe and… “WOW”!!! During my BF’s 2nd bite, he looked at me and said “Wow, this is the best pork chop you’ve ever made. This is Fantastic” Thanks for this! So quick & easy! Love! Love!

  13. CHULETAS is what we call them in our house.  Colombian dish we used to make all the time.  One of my boys can not eat eggs so it is hard to make for just us and not him.  Do you have any recommendations for substitutions for egg– would flaxseed water nix keep the bread crumbs on?  Thank You

  16. Quick question I added all the nutritional values in for Weight watchers smart points and instead of 7 it said 4. I want to make sure I am tracking the correct amount of points. Just wondering if anyone else has had any issues?
