This may seem too simple to be considered a recipe, but I thought the presentation was pretty enough to impress. Strawberries are sweet this time of year and when filled with fat free whipped cream, this makes a delicious low fat dessert you won’t feel guilty eating!
Strawberries and Cream
Yield: 4 servings
Serving Size: 3
Ingredients
- 12 large strawberries, washed
- fat free whipped topping
Instructions
- Cut the greens off top of strawberry so when you flip it around the strawberries sit flat.
- With a sharp knife cut slits all the way down the berry in an X shape, careful not to cut through.
- Arrange strawberries on a plate, and open them like a flower.
- Fill with whipped cream.

You had to make a recipe for this?
So simple yet so satisfying. My kids are only allowed to have fruit after dinner so I try to change it up and make it interesting so they don't get bored. They loved these. I cut them and let my kids add the whip cream.
Hello Gina,
Would I be able to use this image for my ICT coursework?
Many thanks
Thanks for the idea. The simplest one's get used so much more often! For instance, in place of apple pie we have applesauce and cinnamon graham crackers. The kids love that they can have this everyday. Can add a squirt of caramel topping or whipped cream too!
Made last night for dessert and we loved them. Very pretty and I love your photo!
I think I figured it out.. lol. 6TBS of FF whipped cream is 1 points plus value. So you can have 6 strawberries each with a TBS of F.F Whipped Cream. At least thats how I figure it.. lol.
Hi. I just came across your website. I can't wait to try out some of your recipes!! This one looks simple and yummy! But you haven't adjusted to the new points plus. At least I didn't see it..lol. Since fruit is now 0.. would this be 0 even with the whipped cream? Thanks!!
Cute idea!
These look great! Add a blueberry to the top and it's a perfect 4th of July dessert too. 🙂
Once you fill them with the cream, they are to be eaten right away.
These are delish but I tried them twice, once with Fat Free Redi-wip and once with full fat and by the time I filled the last strawberry (maybe there were 12) the first ones were melting. What am I doing wrong?
Hi, your photos are just beautiful. I also do the strawberries but put mascarpone mixed with whipped cream and vanilla…I know, not low fat but very yummy and so pretty. Thank you. 🙂
Do they make fat free chocolate whipped cream?
What about the chocolate whipped cream……
Ohh! I'm in for this!
Thanks Tanya! I often wonder if it's easy for others to navigate. Glad to hear it is.
I just make these. They are easy and very beautiful. Again I must say that I love the way you have your blog set up. Very easy to use. I love love love it!
these are the perfect dessert! three is just the right amount for a sweet dessert!
You can substitute low fat cream cheese with a tablespoon of fat free mayo, whip til creamy and pipe into strawberries to make an impressive addition to a cheese and cracker plate for entertaining!
They look so great! And what is better than strawberries annd whipped cream??
I just adjusted it for you, it's 3 strawberries 1 pt.
i have a comment about the strawberries and coolwhip recipe. do you get to eat 4strawberries for 1 pt. or just 1 for 1pt
thanks
Of course! This is great bc we always have fruit in my house and my mom likes whippeds cream for her coffee(which I stay away from and might have once a month). Gonna try this one!
