Hi friends! I am thrilled to share another Skinnytaste weight loss success story. Nothing makes me happier to hear these weight loss stories – how you did it, how long it took, what helped motivate you, etc, so I plan on sharing more of these stories to help inspire you! Mary shared her story on the Skinnytaste Facebook Community Group and everyone was so excited to find out more, so I asked her to share her story here. Thank you Mary!

What motivated you to lose weight?
I was a dance studio owner for 15 years, after I closed my studio and went to nursing school I gained 30 lbs. I tried unsuccessfully many times to lose the weight but I always felt hungry and deprived. I would do great for a month and then go back to my old eating habits. Before thanksgiving 2017 none of my clothing fit and when I made the trip to the mall I found out I had gone from a size 10 to a 13 in only 5 months. I knew it was time to finally do something for good. I stumbled upon a Skinnytaste recipe and decided to try it. I was hooked! After that I started making all Skinnytaste meals exclusively. I actually look forward to and enjoy cooking (something I’ve never done before).
Brief summary of how you lost the weight, were you counting calories? Weight Watchers? etc
I counted calories. I used my fitness pal to record everything and I always weigh my portions I believe that’s a big deal. It’s so easy to over/underestimate.
What are some of your favorite Skinnytaste recipes.
With Skinnytaste I am eating healthy and delicious REAL food. I never feel hungry or deprived. The food is absolute delicious! It’s so hard to narrow it down to one recipe I use the 2 ingredient dough almost daily to make pizza. I love the Turkey Taco Chili and the Eggplant Sausage Boats are on my regular rotation!
Hi, i gained 40 pounds as a,senior when i broke my leg. Ive lost a little on keto but dont like all the fat.
So to try this i start doing what. Counting calories and weighing food?
You can use the myfitness app for counting calories, its also free.
This is awesome! Thank you, Gina, for the incredible, easy, tasty recipes! I’ve been doing WW since September and have used your recipes almost exclusively. I’m down almost 40 pounds and have never felt better! My husband (who is not doing WW) has loved every recipe as well!
Thanks Leslie, that is great to hear!
I’m in nursing school right now! Been trying to do low carb but the stress is about to get to me. All I do is study and so I have to be careful what I eat! Congrats on your weight loss! You look amazing! You give me hope reading your success story.
She looks great!
This is a so motivating story! I was hooked on your recipes too, they are so nice!
Thanks for your work a lot!!
Love this! I have a similar story so its so good to hear from people its working for every once in a while! Keep up the good work! I love how creative, filling, tasty and totally #skinny your recipes are – its truly an art, what you do!
🙂
I attribute my success to Gina and her wonderful recipes. I still get to eat yummy favorites but with a healthy approach. What works for me is I know exactly how much is in one serving, it’s easier to track and be accountable.
I’m down 32 lbs  since September, Skinnytaste meals, weekend meal planning, strong support system, strength training and the right mindset all contributed to my success.Â
That’s awesome! Keep up the great work!
I am the same… I had two kids and I weigh 168! I have never been this size .. I need to do something? I need to follow a regiment of foods. Thanks for your story Mary!
Where is the recipe for the 2 ingredient dough?
It’s the bagel dough.
Love this! I’m ready to start on my weight loss journey. I’ve made skinnytaste meals for years just because they’re awesome! I need to focus on that dang snacking though. That’s where I get into trouble ;).Â
What’s good to snack on at night?
Where can I find the 2 ingredients dough?
It’s the bagel dough
that has 5 ingredients, no?
Some people use self rising flour and yogurt
So is it just 1 cup of self-rising flour and 1 cup of the yogurt?
