I love the slightly sour taste of Greek yogurt, although you can use any plain yogurt here.

Topped with fresh berries, sweet honey and some nuts for texture, it’s like having dessert for breakfast yet, so healthy with the added benefits of protein and active probiotic cultures which are great for your intestines.

    SUMMER R NEAL

All your recipes say How many CARBS are in them at the top. Is that GRAMS of CARBS per serving? Thanks. Following a diabetic diet…

I never thought i would like plain yogurt. But this is AMAZING and only 250 calories!!! Its a great breakfast for when I’m to lazy to make a smoothie! 10 out of 10 would recommend!!

    1. The addition of the drizzled honey is a GAME CHANGER. I’ve had berries and yogurt before…but never did I think to add honey….so so simple….but so so so delicious! This has become a weekly staple, esp this summer when the berries are abundant! Thank you!

  3. Perfectly balanced breakfast/dessert/snack. Simple for moms on the go and could easily be made ahead for the week. I like to add a dash of nutmeg. <3 Thanks always for easy, healthful, awesome recipes.

  4. Oh my goodness. I am never going back to sweet flavored yogurts again. (well maybe in a pinch) I was so nervous to try this because the thought of plain greek yogurt is well… just gross. But I tried it and it was delicious. I don’t taste the tang of the yogurt. I just taste delicious sweet and a bit of salt. I used strawberries and cut mangoes along with 16 pistachios. Pure heaven. Thanks so much for giving me the strength to eat plain greek yogurt.

    1. I use So Delicious Coconut yogurt. I’m not sure where you live, but it is carried at Giant and Walmart near me.

  5. Weight Watchers is for sure 4 points for 1 TBSP of Honey and 2 Points for the 1 TBSP of Walnuts.  Gina, can you correct this?  This with Chobani Fat Free and In season fresh mixed berries – great way to start my day!

I eventually got used to eating plain yogurt and if you want to skip the honey, sprinkle it with cinnamon. It adds sweetness without adding points.

I also use full-fat yogurt and just eat less of it. 3/4 c is 4 pts on WW Blue. I put in a ton of berries and then just a few other “point” items to get 5 points and I’m nice and full.

  7. I have never eaten plain greek yogurt by itself.  I usually just add it to recipes and eat flavored greek yogurt like Triple Zero. But the pictures looked so good I knew I had to give it a try.  I have been so addicted to your overnights oats recipe, so I kept postponing this breakfast.  Now I have a new fave to choose from because this was awesome!.  The tanginess of the yogurt with the sweetness of the honey and the crunchy from the nuts was a perfect balance.  This is going into my regular rotation.  Plus it can be made up the night before so I can just grab it as I run out the door.  Thanks!!!

  8. How do you only get 5 BP for this? My Tbsp of honey alone was 4 pts and I used a plain greek gods brand greek yogurt. The whole recipe ended up being 11 pts!

    1. Was your yogurt nonfat? That should be zero points, along with the fruit. I also get 4 points for the honey, and 2 for the Tbsp of chopped walnuts, so I end up with 6. But I personally felt it was sweeter than I needed, so I will drop it to 2 tsp of honey next time.

  9. Boy, wouldn’t life be difficult without plain greek yogurt? Love your site! You’re a big help to me in my health journey.

  10. I did not think I would enjoy this but I’m so glad I tried it because it’s really good! I used granola instead of crushed walnuts just so I can switch up between the two this week as toppings and it was so good! The honey gives it just the right amount of sweetness without overpowering the other flavors. Definitely cuts the sour taste of the greek yogurt. 😋

I subsituted fresh dates or figs for the honey. I cut them up really small, almost like sprinkling tiny oats onto the yogurt and berries.  Fresh (not dried) figs are zero points.  As is Greek yogurt and berries.  I’m not entirely sure how the zero point thing works but this would be a zero point snack or breakfast.

  12. Recently made this for breakfast. I was surprised at how filling this was. I used 1 cup fat free yogurt, 1/2 oz chopped pecans (didn’t have my phone to look up your recipe so it was 7 pts total) and blackberries with 1 TBSP local honey from my favorite honey man! So much yum and an easy make ahead and grab breakfast. Love your meal plans and recipes! Thank you!
