The Best Quiches Recipes
Quiche is one of my go-to dishes when I’m not sure what to make. Need a quick, filling breakfast for the week ahead? Quiche. Need something elegant for a Sunday brunch with friends? Quiche. Or an easy weeknight dinner everyone will love? Quiche.
Absolutely perfect and suitable for all meals, quiche may be one of the most versatile dishes out there. Not to mention that there are a million different ways to prepare it.
Below I’ve rounded up my all-time favorite quiche recipes but feel free to take any of them and customize them to your preferences. They’re all very adaptable!
What Is Quiche?
A quiche is basically a scrambled egg pie cooked typically cooked in a pastry crust, though you can also find crustless quiche recipes. The base of quiche is typically made with eggs (or just egg whites), cream or milk, and any desired add-ins.
What Can You Put In Quiche?
You can put pretty much anything you would put in scrambled eggs in a quiche and even other savory ingredients like chicken or zucchini. Most quiche recipes are made with some type of protein (like sausage or bacon), veggies, and cheese.
You can also add different spices and seasonings or even a splash of hot sauce. And, of course, there are many vegetarian quiche recipes out there too.
Is Quiche Breakfast or Dinner?
Quiche is a very versatile dish as it can be served at any time of the day. Since it’s made with eggs, it’s perfect for breakfast but the savory flavors make it a perfect for dinner too.
Personally, I love quiche for brunch as well. I find non-traditional quiches, like zucchini quiche, are an extra hit at brunches and mid-day gatherings.

Leftover quiche should be stored in an airtight container or tightly wrapped in plastic wrap. It will last in the fridge for 3 to 4 days. Note that some recipes may have a shorter storage period, due to additional ingredients, so be sure to double check the specific recipe.
Can I Freeze Quiche?
Yes, quiche makes a great freezer meal. If you find yourself with lots of eggs to use – make a quiche to freeze for later!
To freeze quiche, bake as normal then allow it to cool completely. Once cooled, wrap tightly in plastic wrap and foil. Freeze for up to 3 months.
