If you’ve never tried cooked radishes, these air fryer radishes will surprise you! They’re tender, slightly sweet, and crispy—an easy, low-carb swap for roasted potatoes.

Air Fryer Radishes
Radishes in the air fryer? Stay with me on this. If you’ve only ever eaten radishes raw—peppery, crisp, and often tossed in a salad—this method will completely change how you view them. Air frying transforms radishes into something unexpectedly delicious: tender on the inside, crispy on the outside, and mild in
flavor. Similar to roasted potatoes, only lower in carbs! I love roasted radishes in the oven, but making them in the air fryer is my new favorite method.

What do air fryer radishes taste like?
The magic of cooking radishes is that their sharp, peppery bite mellows out completely, leaving behind a subtly sweet, earthy flavor. If you love roasted turnips or parsnips, you’ll enjoy these. They have a texture similar to baby potatoes—tender on the inside with crispy edges.
What You’ll Need
Here are all the ingredients you need to air fry radishes. See the recipe card below for the exact measurements.
- Radishes: Cut off the ends and slice the radishes in half.
- Olive Oil to help the seasoning stick and keep the radishes moist
- Seasoning: Salt, black pepper, onion powder
- Parsley for freshness
- Garlic for aromatic flavor
How to Cook Radishes in Air Fryer
This easy air fryer radish recipe is the best side when you’re short on time. Slice, season, and air fry—that’s it! See the recipe card at the bottom for printable directions.

- Season Radishes: Combine all the ingredients in a bowl.
- Air Fry Radishes at 400°F for 8 minutes. Then, open the air fryer, stir the radishes, and cook for another 5 minutes. Sprinkle with a little more salt, if desired, and serve.
Variations
- Garlic: Replace cloves with garlic powder
- Herbs: Swap fresh parsley for dried, or use a different herb, like chives, oregano, or rosemary.
- Oil: Substitute avocado oil.
Ways to Serve Air Fryer Radishes
- As a low-carb side for grilled chicken, air fryer steak, or fish.
- Served with a creamy dip, like ranch, garlic aioli, or a tangy yogurt sauce.
Storage
- Refrigerate radishes for 4 days in an airtight container.
- Reheat them in the air fryer for 5 minutes at 375°F. You can also microwave them until warm.

Perfect
This recipe for air fried radishes is delicious! I plan on making it often.
Oh my, just fixed some. They do taste like potatoes. Yum.
Great recipe!
Made this as stated, only I cut the radishes smaller into half-quarters. I had to cook them twice as long and they were still hard on the inside and getting burnt on the outside. The taste of the seasoning was really good but we couldn’t get over the crunchiness.
Very good and simple. Took less than time indicated, so keep checking.
We are watching carbs but also love love love potatoes. This recipe is truly inspired! All of the good taste of potatoes and all of the nutrition/low carb goodness of radishes. A win for sure!
Isn’t it wonderful!
I’ve been saving this recipe for a while and FINALLY made it last night. I’m kicking myself for waiting for long because it was AWESOME! They do remind me a lot of roasted red potatoes, but I like them even better! It’ll be fun to test out different seasonings too (and will probably make these for Easter)! Huge win with our whole family!
Glad you enjoyed it!
These were really good! I just made them for lunch.
I was craving something warm and savory.
These were so surprisingly awesome! I couldn’t believe how much they tasted like potatoes. Yum!
Delicious!! I had the air fryer radishes as a side dish to pork tenderloin. Excellent and so easy to do! Thank you Gina 👍
Glad you enjoyed it!
Had the air fryer out to make your wings so decided to try this….
LOVED them!
Very solid alternative to air frying small red potatoes. A little more crunch and just a little bit different in flavor. I would not guess that these were radishes.
Can you bake them instead of air frying?
yes I linked to the oven recipe above
