Easy Grape Tomato Sauce
I love how easy this grape tomato sauce is which I make every summer when my garden is overflowing with grape tomatoes! There’s nothing sweeter than summer tomatoes, especially when you grow them. Grape Tomato Sauce
Equipment
- large nonstick skillet
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
- 6 cloves garlic, chopped
- 1 1/2 lbs grape tomatoes, or cherry tomatoes, cut in half
- salt and fresh pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoon fresh chopped oregano, or fresh basil
- 1/8 teaspoon red crushed pepper flakes
Instructions
- In a large non-stick pan, heat oil over medium heat. Add garlic and cook until golden, about 30 to 60 seconds.
- Add the tomatoes, salt, crushed red pepper flakes and fresh black pepper and reduce heat to low.
- Simmer, covered until the tomatoes burst, about for 8 to 10 minutes.
- Add fresh oregano and cook, uncovered another 5 to 6 minutes more.
- Serve over pasta, fish, chicken, etc.
