This quick and simple Bacon-Wrapped Pork Tenderloin cooked in the air fryer is perfect for weeknight dinners and packed with so much flavor!

Air Fryer Bacon-Wrapped Pork Tenderloin
Here’s a new air fryer recipe! Pork wrapped in more pork – how could this not be good?! You’re going to love this easy pork tenderloin wrapped in crispy bacon and cooked in the air fryer, just two ingredients not counting salt and pepper. I tested this recipe several times to make sure it was perfect before sharing. My daughter smelled the bacon-wrapped meat and came running – she ate nearly half the batch! This pork tenderloin is so juicy and moist. Tenderloin is a lean cut of pork, so it benefits from the fat from the bacon. I use center-cut bacon, which is leaner than other cuts since it’s cut from the belly. If you want to serve it with something sweet, this would be great with apricot jam or sweet chile sauce on the side.
What temp should I cook pork tenderloin?
Cook pork tenderloin at 400F degrees in the air fryer for ten minutes. Then flip the meat over and cook for eight to ten minutes until the internal temperature reaches 145-150 degrees.
How do you wrap meat in bacon?
To wrap pork in bacon, you’ll need some kitchen string, but toothpicks would also work if that’s all you have.
- Cut two bacon strips in half and lay two halves next to each other, then four full strips, and then the other two halves.
- Place the tenderloin over the bacon.
- Tightly roll up the pork jelly-roll style, starting with a long side.
- Tie the roast at 2-inch intervals with kitchen string to keep the bacon from shrinking and falling off, each about 12-inches long.
What to Serve with Bacon-Wrapped Pork Tenderloin
This bacon-wrapped pork would be delicious with just about anything from Baked Sweet Potato, Roasted Radishes, Smashed Sweet Potatoes or Bussels sprouts.

Air Fryer Bacon Wrapped Pork Tenderloin

Equipment
Ingredients
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 pork tenderloin, about 1 1/2 lbs
- 6 center cut strips bacon
- cooking string
Instructions
- Season pork with salt and pepper. Lay the bacon on a cutting board to be roughly the same size as the tenderloin.
- Cut two bacon strips in half (since the ends are thinner, they don’t need a whole strip). Lay two halves next to each other, then four full strips, then the other two halves next to each other.
- Carefully lay the tenderloin over the bacon. Tightly roll up the pork jelly-roll style, starting with a long side. Tie the roast at 2- inch intervals with kitchen string each about 12-inches long.
- Carefully cut the tenderloin in half to fit in the air fryer.
- Put the tenderloin inside and fry at 400 F for 20 minutes turning halfway, until an instant read thermometer inserted into the center reads 145-150 F. Let the pork rest about 5 minutes before slicing. Slice into 12 slices.

I’m not a huge pork person but this was not only easy to make BUT so delicious I could not stop eating it!!!
My go to pork tenderloin recipe. Easy and perfect every time
We enjoyed this! My husband wanted to cook it on the grill and it came out perfect with a reverse sear. Served it with Savory Zucchini Waffles.
Flavorful, easy. Four stars because it probably needed a little sauce as others have suggested. I didn’t have string so I wrapped bacon and used toothpicks. Would make again.
So simple and so flavorful! The bacon infuses into the meat but not in an overwhelming way.
It is good tasting and easy to make but it took more than 20minutes for the pork to cook all the way. It was still pink in the middle so I cooked it for 15 minutes and the bacon wasn’t cooked on the bottom of the pork. I made the zucchini tots with it. That is a good recipe to use the pulp from the buffalo chicken zucchini boats.
Just made this for dinner. It was the best pork tenderloin I ever had!!!!
Such an easy and delicious way to serve a tenderloin. My adult sons especially love it because, you know…….it has bacon!
Do you have an instant pot adaptation?
Your Trader Joe’s fig jam has been my go-to recipe for several years. But I was searching for a quick and easy Air Fryer recipe when I came across this one. I didn’t even realize it was SkinnyTaste at first. This is a great recipe!
I’ve made this 3 times and it comes out great, except it will guaranteed set off the smoke detector, (even though the air fryer starts out clean), because the temp is too hot for the bacon. Would this work at 375 for a somewhat longer time? Any guesses how much time?
So simple, yet so delicious. Very good with fig jam and/or mustard.
Delicious! Paired it with peach jam. So good and easy!
Pork wrapped in pork, doesn’t get better than this. No fail – done to perfection, juicy, and full of flavour using my air fryer, every time.
Perfectly cooked tenderloin, thanks!!
I made this twice this week to use both tenderloins in the package. The first time I followed the recipe. The second I marinated overnight with chipotle chili powder and brown sugar before wrapping in bacon. They were both delicious! It did take 30 minutes each time. Next time I might flip at 10 minutes, then at 25 minutes to crisp up the bacon more, but it was still great as it was!
I made this in my Cuisinart air fryer and it was delicious! On the lower rack, I cooked some cubed sweet potatoes, which turned out great.
We have a different type of air fryer and had to leave ours in for 30 minutes. Used a store-bought rotisserie flavored pork tenderloin (all they had in stock) and added a few extra dry spices in the fridge overnight. Turned out fantastic and will definitely make again and add to our weeknight menu/rotation.
It’s sooooooo GOOD!!!
Delicious! Easy! Bacon perfectly crisp! Looks impressive. Have made several times!
I used this recipe as more of a method and made it my own. I seasoned the pork with a bbq rub. I wrapped it tightly in bacon in a spiral type fashion so I didn’t need to tie it. I also put Brussels sprouts around the pork in the air fryer. It came out incredible! I will forever make pork tenderloin this way!
Easy and delicious. My son said I could never make pork any other way!
This was just OK – I prepared it exactly as written and cooked as specified. It was overcooked and lacked flavor. It also produced a lot of smoke in my kitchen. I was disappointed.
This is an awesome recipe for a weeknight, so fast and easy and minimal clean up. I’ve been making skinny taste for over 20 years and this is one of my favorites!
Glad you enjoy it!
Can this be prepared and frozen as is until ready for the air fryer? Looking to make more freezer to air fryer or instant pot and this looks amazing.
Sure just let it thaw before cooking
I prepped the tenderloin with your instructions and froze it. When I thawed and cooked in the air fryer, it came out amazing. So juicy and tender, my husband also loved it.
Perfect!
Wish I could give this 10 stars! Super easy, full of flavor, tender & juicy. Adding to rotation. ❤️
So good! Tender and juicy, perfect in the air fryer!
This was delicious and perfectly cooked. Skinnytaste is my “go-to” for recipes, thank you!
Good recipe
This turned out great! I used two tenderloins and one package of bacon. Seasoned with a little bbq seasoning. The cook time was about right for my Instant Vortex. Pork was juicy and bacon was crisp.
I do mine with Italian seasoning, but follow everything else the same way as the recipe and everyone in my family loves it.
Cooked this tonight in my new air fryer. It turned out great! We have half of it leftover. How do I reheat without over cooking it? Would like the bacon to still be crispy but don’t want to dry it out. Suggestions please!
Can I make this in a conventional oven? Still wrapping it in bacon, what temperature should I bake it in and for how long?
I would sear it in a cast iron skillet so the bacon browns, then bake in the oven using a thermometer to know when its done.
Help! My store only had a pork loin. Now that I read the reviews I am not sure how to make it. Any suggestions to alter the recipe to fit a loin. Just slightly bigger than the tenderloin.
Very good just needs to be in air fryer for 30 mins not 20
Amazingly easy and delicious! So good, we bought more tenderloin and made it again the next night! Thanks for the recipe and all your hard work!
‘Air fry 400* for 20 minutes”… do you preheat the airfryer or is that included in the 20 minutes?
We just got r air fryer so looking forward to try these new recipes
Easy, quick and delicious! There are two tenderloins in the package, used one for this recipe and froze the other. Served with sautéed apples and small salad. There are only two of home now so will probably make fried rice because we have leftovers.
This was delicious. Thank you!
My family loves this recipe! So simple and delicious. Perfect with roasted sweet potatoes and zucchini.
Can I use turkey bacon?
Had for dinner tonight. It was soooo good. 23 minutes at 400. Only did salt and pepper then wrapped in the bacon.
Very Yummy!
I honestly don’t understand the good reviews. Maybe my airfryer is just different from everyone else’s (even though it’s the most common brand)? Maybe I did something wrong? This came out terrible. By the time the tenderloin was cooked through, the bacon was so burnt it was black and inedible. Definitely will not be making this again.
Did you use pork loin or pork tenderloin. The tenderloin is smaller in circumference and generally cooks very quickly by any method. The loin is much thicker. It can be confusing.
Can I use turkey bacon??
I don’t understand how this could possibly work. I cook bacon in the air fryer at 4 to 5 minutes and it’s well done. A lot of things cook a lot faster in my Ninja Air Fryer, so I don’t understand what I’m doing wrong when I follow the time and temp exactly.
Yes. Not all are the same. My bacon too burned the first time. But the loin was so good. The second time, I flipped it half way through and it was even better.
Great recipe!
Amazing! This was so good and juicy. Will be making this recipe more often!
This!!! One of our new faves. So easy and soooo delicious
I came up with 5 blue points also with the recipe calculator .
The only accurate way to determine any recipe’s SmartPoints® value is to plug the ingredients into the recipe builder on the Weight Watchers website (Click on “My Foods,” select “Recipe,” and click “Create a recipe.”) which does not count fruits and vegetables in recipes in the calculations as they are now 0 points.
The SmartPoints® calculator isn’t meant for recipes and will often give you the wrong points (usually higher) because it’s counting the fruits and vegetables. So if you see a recipe with a SmartPoints® value that’s different from what the calculator tells you, now you know why.
Could you use prosciutto in place of the bacon? I forgot bacon. at the store and have prosciutto on hand.
Yum! I loved this recipe. The air fryer was so quick and easy!
Absolutely delicious!
Is the tenderloin seasoned just on the outside?
This recipe was great! Not only was it easy and quick to put together, but it tasted amazing! All 3 of my kids ate it, which is nothing short of a miracle. 🙂
Perfect to make on a weeknight!
I made this this weekend. It was easy and SO DELICIOUS
I made this for dinner tonight for the first time along with the smashed sweet potatoes, it is easy and it is RIDICULOUSLY delicious, oh my gosh, it’s amazing. This is a dish that would be suitable for a casual family dinner or if you were having people over for a dinner party. I’ll definitely be making this again. This is a definite winner of a recipe!
So glad you enjoyed it!
I’ve wanted to use my air fryer more, so thought I’d try this recipe. It was very easy to make and very tasty. However, did anyone else’s smoke alarm go off due to the bacon fat cooking in the air fryer? A fair bit of smoke ended up in my kitchen. I ended up mopping out the bacon fat every few minutes and turned the temperature down lower.
Layer the bottom with bread. 4 pieces for in the bottom of mine.
Delicious and simple! I followed the directions exactly and it was perfect. Served with a little fig butter. Yum will definitely make this again!
I did not preheat the air fryer, wasn’t sure if it needed it or not.
Curious. I put everything in my tracker, and it came up at 5 Green Points. What the difference?

What brand of bacon works best?
I have a double oven with ability to use convection (aka giant air frier). How would you bake this in a standard convection oven?
My guess is the same? I have not tested, use a probe so you know when it’s done.
Thank you! Gina I am a huge Skinnytaste fan! Lost 25lbs and met my goal weight with your recipes and WW 😊. You really have helped me learn how to cook lighter and feel like I am not deprived!
That is awesome!!!! Congrats!! I am so glad to be part of your journey!
Outstanding! Juicy, delicious, will definitely go into rotation. Making again in a few weeks when friends are arriving for a visit.
I happened to have a pork tenderloin defrosted for dinner tonight, so when I saw this recipe in my inbox this morning, I decided to give it a try. I mean, what’s not to love about pork wrapped in more pork? It was super simple to put together – I didn’t have kitchen twine so I just used toothpicks without any issue. The only modification I made was to add a little garlic powder and dried thyme with the salt and pepper on the roast. My thicker piece took a little longer to cook to 140, maybe an extra 4 minutes, so I was glad to have a digital meat thermometer. In the end, the finished dish was juicy, tender and very flavorful. My 3 kids and husband devoured it, and we could have easily eaten a second tenderloin if I had it. Will definitely make it again! Thanks for a weeknight dinner win!
So glad you enjoyed it!
What brand of an air fryer do you use? Thank you.
How long in an oven for those of us without an air fryer?
Can this be cooked without an air fryer? I don’t have one, but I would love to try this recipe.
Sure I would brown it in a skillet then cook 425F guessing 20 – 25 min? Use a meat probe.
