Happy Sunday! Hope you all had a great week, I’m in Charleston for a photoshoot for my next cookbook (yay!). Such a beautiful city and the photos are coming out beautiful, but I’m looking forward to getting back home to my family.
This is week five of sharing my weekly dinner plan since launching The Skinnytaste Meal Planner. I usually do all my food shopping on Sundays, but you can do what works best for you.
Please leave me your comments and tell me if this is working for you, or suggestions on how I can improve it. And if you bought the Skinnytaste Meal Planner, please leave a review on Amazon, or share what you’re eating using hashtag #skinnytastemealplanner

I love your Meal Planner and I am working my way through it. Since I do not eat any kind of meat from pigs, how would substituting pork for lamb or chicken affect the points? I am currently not a member of Weight Watchers although I was in the past.
You said to comment on suggestions. I felt this was a little of a picky and lazy suggestion, but since you asked, ;)…for the shopping list, have a code of which recipe(s) the item goes with so we can use the whole shopping list if wanted but leave out a recipe we are not using. Yes, I know, make our own lists, bit anything that saves time right? 🙂 thank you for the planner love it!
I am aiming to lost some weight by following your cooking plan. Wish me luck and thank you! 🙂
Thank you thank you for your meal plans! And pre-organizing my shopping list for me. Thank you! 🙂
This meal plan is amazing and easy to follow and the meals are delicious!! Please keep doing these!!! Grocery shopping was easy, meal planning was easy- I am in HEAVEN!
This is such a great idea, I love how you made it so simple to follow. I usually meal prep and there are times I get tired of eating the same thing. I like the variety that are in your meals and especially the grocery list. You make it so easy. I cant wait to try all of them 🙂
Oh I'm so excited to see that you're visiting us in Charleston! Wish the weather was better!
Your Cheeseburger Casserole is a favorite at our house! 🙂
Thank you!
Gina ,
I've been following you for a very long time & we love the food that comes from it! My comment is the meal planner (and all recipes) would be so much more helpful to me if I could see prep/cook times at a glance. For instance I would know to make the pumpkin soup (week 2) the night before because I don't have 1.5 hours to cook plus prep time on a Monday night. You have so many wonderful choices and that information sometimes is the deciding factor based on nighttime activities. I'm often too optimistic about prep time so we have to cut dinner short or leave a mess. I can look for the "Q" in the cookbook & would love that info for email recipes too. Keep up the creativity! Consider a "Quick and Healthy" cookbook. I'll buy it in a flash!
Thanks for the comment, perhaps I include that when I am finished with the new cookbook I am working on which by the way is all quick and slow cooker 🙂
Hi! I just found your Blog and I'm very excited that I finally found someone else who has a weekly plan 🙂 I'm doing this for years, but usually people look at me strangly when I tell them I plan ahead for the whole week, but I find it much easier to go shopping once a week and not have to think about what I want to cook after a long day at work.
I think the only difference is, my plan is online. I'm using google drive so my husband can check himself and stopped askin "what is for dinner?"
Thanks for sharing I'll stop by more often!!!
Awesome, and how fun that your husband checks : )
Oh, I'm sad you're down here with such lousy weather! I hope you enjoy yourself anyway – we have some pretty great restaurants down here 🙂
Yes, at at The Ordinary and Fig, to name a few. Having fun!
all these are amazing
Yay! A second cookbook! Any info as to when it might be released? I know these things take time…but I'm sure your many fans would love to know! 🙂
Yes! I would LOVE to know when too! This made my day to hear you were coming out with another! Before Christmas would make some perfect Christmas gifts 😉 Crossing my fingers!
It's still in the works, won't be out until Fall 2016 : )
Hi, new here – what a fun blog. Thanks! I notice that this week you have 3 meals that are ground beef this week. I find sometimes I'll plan meals for the week that end up with all the same meat – 3 chicken recipes or some with ground beef and I end up changing the plan so that my family doesn't say "chicken AGAIN?" Do you do this intentionally and find that it's easier?
Ha! I see your point, I usually ask them what they want and plan around that but I do try to switch it up.
I am SO excited to hear that you have a new cookbook coming out! I love your first cookbook, and make something at least 1 or 2 times a week out of it. Congratulations and I look forward to its release!
Thank you!! That makes me so happy to hear : )
