7-Day Healthy Meal Plan

This week I took a pause from promoting new recipes. There aren’t enough words and there’s no perfect recipe to heal our nation’s wounds right now.

For those of you who know me, you know I do not use this platform for much outside of healthy eating. I also promote healthy living which goes beyond what you eat. It’s about how we treat ourselves and each other. The way we, as a society, respond to racism, will shape how our children and their children treat each other, but also shape the world they live in. This paradigm is here to stay. I am still sharing a meal plan because we all need to take care on every level. Please consider productive conversations with your family and friends as you share your cooking and time with them in the kitchen.

“Be the change you wish to see in the world.” – Ghandi

“No one is born hating another person because of the color of his skin, or his background, or his religion. People must learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate, they can learn to love, for love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite” – Nelson Mandela, Long Walk to Freedom

I will be starting to post new recipes next week, and look forward to continuing the conversation while enjoying some really good food. Sending love and light to all.

Why Should Everyone Meal Plan?

Meal planning is a great way to organize your meals for the week ahead. You also save time and money in the supermarket! And of course, planning ahead helps you stick to your goals!

About The Meal Plan

If you’re new to my meal plans, I’ve been sharing these free, 7-day flexible healthy meal plans (you can see my previous meal plans here) that are meant as a guide, with plenty of wiggle room for you to add more food, coffee, beverages, fruits, snacks, dessert, wine, etc or swap recipes out for meals you prefer, you can search for recipes by course in the index. You should aim for around 1500 calories* per day.

There’s also a precise, organized grocery list that will make grocery shopping so much easier and much less stressful. Save you money and time. You’ll dine out less often, waste less food and you’ll have everything you need on hand to help keep you on track.

Lastly, if you’re on Facebook join my Skinnytaste Facebook Community where everyone’s sharing photos of recipes they are making, you can join here. I’m loving all the ideas everyone’s sharing! If you wish to get on the email list, you can subscribe here so you never miss a meal plan!

Also, if you don’t have the Skinnytaste Meal Planner, now would be a great time to get one to get organized for 2020! There was a print error last year, but it’s perfect now! You can order it here!

THE DETAILS:

Breakfast and lunch Monday-Friday, are designed to serve 1 while dinners and all meals on Saturday and Sunday are designed to serve a family of 4. Some recipes make enough leftovers for two nights or lunch the next day. While we truly believe there is no one size fits all meal plan, we did our best to come up with something that appeals to a wide range of individuals. Everything is Weight Watchers friendly, I included the updated WW Blue SP for your convenience, feel free to swap out any recipes you wish or just use this for inspiration!

The grocery list is comprehensive and includes everything you need to make all meals on the plan. I’ve even included brand recommendations of products I love and use often. Cross check your cabinets because many condiments you’ll notice I use often, so you may already have a lot of them.

And last, but certainly not least, this meal plan is flexible and realistic. There’s plenty of wiggle room for cocktails, healthy snacks, dessert and dinner out. And if necessary, you can move some things around to make it work with your schedule. Please let me know if you’re using these plans, this will help me decide if I should continue sharing them!

  1. Gina, I love your plans! I am on WW and these plans really help me plan out my week and make it easy to eat healthy.

  2. I am just now finding this! What an amazing free thing to provide! I have been doing weight watches for years now and I would love something like this. I’m a pescatarian/vegetarian so your plans don’t work for me as is, but I really enjoy MANY of your recipe. If you have a suggestion on how to make it a bit easier for recipe swaps, I’m all ears!

  3. Hi Gina. Thank you for sharing your menu plan with us. It has made my life so much easier. Everything is always delicious! I wanted to let you know that the link to print the shopping list is missing from this week’s menu plan.

  4. The Facebook , Twitter, Pinterest, email buttons on the left of the webpage are consistently in the way of reading recipes, quantity of items on the shopping list, etc.

It would probably be better if they were pinned to the right side of the webpage.

It actually just blocked my view of the checkbox for privacy and I tried to proceed without checking It. Nots like that.

  5. Love these meal plans and with the WW points it’s such a time saver! I feel good knowing what I’m going to be eating and know what points I’ll be using!

Thank you so much for these!

  6. Love the meal plans! Love the WW points too. The recipes, grocery list and plan are a huge time saver. Thank you!

  7. HI, Gina! I’m loving these meal plans and have been losing weight following them, and my family actually eats them, too, which is a huge bonus! My question is, i was wondering if you could somehow have a link to just print out all of the included recipes? As of now, I’m making a little printed out book each week and I have to click on each recipe individually to print it out and then close that window and do it again. I love that the shopping list is one click and just wondering if the recipes could somehow be too? Thank you and please keep it up!

  8. I’m so grateful for these weekly posts! Thank you for taking the hard work out of meal planning and keeping our menu fun and healthy each week. Our family has been enjoying all of your delicious recipes!

  9. Gina-huge fan over your recipes and your words. Thank you. I recently started keto and am using many of your recipes. Have you ever considered creating meal plans based on special diets? I’d be willing to pay for that as I’ve tried some popular keto ones and the recipes were simply not even close to as good as so many of yours are. Thanks so much!

  10. I love love all your recipes and your meal plans save me! I have a question… your shrimp fajita recipe says recipe x 2… does this mean to double it to serve 4?

    Thank you!

  11. Thank you for sharing your kind and empathetic thoughts. That’s exactly what our world needs to begin to heal.

  12. Thanks for the time you take to put together the meal plans. The shopping list is a wonderful bonus! I access your plans often and love the delicious recipes I have used. Please keep publishing them. They are very much appreciated!

  13. I love all your recipes … and your meal plans are absolutely great!

I, for one,  would still like you to continue sharing them….

Many thanks for all your time and effort that goes into producing them…

Gina, I so enjoy this website and I own 3 of your cookbooks that I regularly reference. I left the ST community FB page because of offensive posts and divisiveness but I seek out this blog several times a week. Thank you for your insightful words and wonderful recipes. (Your bagels have changed my life!)

  15. I’m new to meal plans and eating healthy. I normally just grab whatever quick food is available. These weekly posts are so helpful and tasty! Thank you so much for what you do ❤️
