Strips of beef and peppers are stir fried in a wok to create a delicious main dish, ready in no time!
I love stir fried anything, this pepper steak is always a hit in my house. The key when stir frying is to have all your ingredients chopped and prepped before you start to cook. Once prepped, your meal will be ready in minutes. This is perfect served over white or brown rice.

ReplyDeleteThis looks great!
You have a blog full of great recipes and I wanted to let you know that I have an award waiting on my blog for you to collect. Cheers!
ReplyDeleteThis was wonderful! My husband has asked to have it again.

ReplyDeleteI've try many times stir fry and never is good...i'll try this recipe...i hope this time it work out good
ReplyDeleteDo you have a specific serving size, like cups or oz?
ReplyDeleteAlso just FYI, I am completely in LOVE with your recipes! I just started weight watchers and came across your site when searching for recipes on-line. I sat at dinner one night (I think we were having the Puerto Rican Rice and Beans) telling my boyfriend, "I hope this girl knows what she's doing because none of this stuff tastes like 'diet' food and I don't want to GAIN weight!!" Keep up the great recipes and THANKS!
@Michelle - LOL Trust me, people always double check my numbers and are quick to email me if they think my points are wrong. As long as you stick with the point system, you won't go wrong. And let's not call it diet food, just healthy low fat, high fiber, low calorie food eaten in controlled portions :)
ReplyDeleteI made this recipe tonight, it was so good. I think I will make a double recipe next time. My husband asked for seconds, so I know it was good. This is a keeper recipe for me. Everything I have tried so far has been wonderful. I wont hesitate to make a recipe from this site because I know they will all be good. Keep up the good work with the recipes Gina!!
ReplyDeleteI made this tonight & it was awesome!!!! soooo goooood & sooo easy!!! I added some garlic & i didn't have rice wine, so i just added some beef stock & it was soo tasty!!! I cant wait for leftovers tomorrow!!! thanks Gina!!!
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome!
ReplyDeleteThis meal has become a staple in our house!!! I toss in thinly shredded cabbage at the end and toss it around rather than searving over rice!!!
ReplyDeleteSooooo yummy! When it was cooking I said I hoped it tasted as good as it smelled and it did....and then some! The whole family loved it! Thank you for all the wonderful recipes!
ReplyDeleteGlad you liked it, I love stir fry. I think I need to make this again soon. Thanks for the comment :)
ReplyDeleteI just found your site after starting Weight Watchers point-counting just the other day. As a former food-blogger, I want to thank you for the tremendous effort you put into this blog! I appreciate every bit of it.
ReplyDeleteThis recipe is fabulous! I did cut down on the sodium. I used low-sodium soy sauce and in the sauce that calls for 3 Tbs, I used only one and replaced the other 2 Tbs with water.
This will become a staple in my house. My husband and I both loved it. We put it on top of potatoes that I made the crock-pot way (thanks for that recipe too).
Thanks for commenting Meryl!
ReplyDeleteI have made this several times and its a favorite of ours. Tonight I added some mushrooms and bok choy that I had in the fridge and it looks great! Thanks for another great recipe!
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I love this recipe and have cooked it numerous times. We always have chicken on hand so do you think I can substitute the steak with chicken or would the soy sauce be too much for it?
ReplyDeleteI'm sure this would taste great with chicken!
ReplyDeleteOnce Again! Great Great recipe! I measured everything as is and did not variate and it was wonderful! We had this with brown rice. Yummy to my tummy! Next time cant wait to try this with tomatoes. Thanks again for another great recipe!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWe love this recipe, My 6 yr old son get so upset that there is never any leftovers ;) It's that good. I am making it again tonight for dinner but this time instead of using peppers (Out of them) I am using broccoli. Yum! Thanks for such FABULOUS recipes!
ReplyDeleteSo I see this is 6 points for WW a serving of 4 so 1 serving would be a cup right??
ReplyDeleteHappy you all like!! Just divide the recipe by 4 equal portions, probably about 1 cup.
ReplyDeleteMade it tonight and the wife and I loved it.
ReplyDeletei'm making this for dinner tonight. so far my husband (and kids) love every recipe on you site. funny, my sis-in-law linked me to this site cause she does WW and i was so skeptical thinking "oh it's healthy food" and "healthy food has no flavor!" your recipes have proved me wrong. you CAN eat healthy and have it very flavorful! thank you for sharing your recipes that i can't get enough of and i love that it's gotten our family eating healthy!!
ReplyDeleteselle, I love that you are cooking recipes here and not dieting. HUGE compliment!!
ReplyDeleteI prepared this recipe for dinner tonight. It was delicious! Hubby had no idea that it was low calorie. This is a keeper!
ReplyDeleteI just emailed this recipe to my sister and the title was: "Life-Changing Pepper Steak!" :) LOVED IT! Add mushrooms to get more veggies in that puppy...absolutely delish!
ReplyDeleteI made this with thin ribeyes and I had tri-colored peppers. I also added mushrooms. Delish! Husband practically licked the plate. I served it with brown rice.
ReplyDeleteGina I'm really not good cooking beef like this. It's always to tuff so I use a crock pot or oven bag. What do you suggest? Thanks
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking this would be great for fajitas...off to the grocery store it is! Thanks Gina!
ReplyDeleteGina, hands down you are AMAZING! I am not on weight watchers, but I do track my calories and I came across your site once looking for a low calorie recipe, and my life hasn't been the same since. My husband used to nag me to cook more and now he nags me to stop cooking so much, because now I am always in the kitchen!
ReplyDeleteYour recipes have truly shed a new light on the whole cooking experience for me, so thank you! BTW my husband really enjoys your recipes too and even asked if you had a light recipe for corn pudding. I searched your site but couldn't find one, so maybe you can add that to your list of recipes to try one day:)
I never write on blogs, but I really just wanted to say THANKS! I have made this recipe twice already and my family LOVES it. I am actually going to try it with chicken tonight and add broccoli to the mix! xoxox
Thanks for leaving a comment! I've never had corn pudding so that may be hard but I'm so happy you are enjoying cooking now!
ReplyDeleteYummy! Made this tonight. Substituted 1 tbsp of rice wine for 1 tsp of white wine vinegar, 1 tsp of Moscato (dessert wine), and 1 tsp of water. Did every thing else to a T and it came out perfect! It was my first attempt at making pepper steak and I thank you for making it an awesome experience!
ReplyDeletep.s. Made mine with cauliflower rice since I'm low carb, but my hubby's with brown rice and he loved it as much as I did!
so me and the hubby have decided to stop going out as often as we do so I came on here and got this recipe and It was a great success. Two thumbs up thank you for sharing

ReplyDeleteCould you use rice vinegar instead of rice wine? I cannot find rice wine ANYWHERE, but I do have rice vinegar...
ReplyDeleteJust made this for dinner, it was delicious! The whole family loved it, we've decided not to order Chinese food again, this is so much lighter and not as oily! Thank you for sharing your recipes, I love this website.
ReplyDeleteHey Melkipke, I used rice vinegar and it came out great!
ReplyDeleteThis was so good, tasted like authentic Chinese food!
ReplyDeleteThis nutrition information on this does NOT include the rice, correct?
ReplyDeleteJust finished eating this for supper and it was great Thanks so much for your amazing recipes. I loved everyone that I have tried so far.
ReplyDeleteMade this tonight and it was fabulous! I added squash to add an extra veggie! Delish! My husband said it tasted like it was from a Chinese restaurant.
ReplyDeleteMade this tonight and it was wonderful. No left-overs, can't wait to try more.
ReplyDeleteI will be trying this recipe tomorrow. I have made a new recipe from this site every day for 2 weeks. My fussy family loves every one we have tried so far. Thank you for taking everyday recipes and making them healthy. I appreciate you more than you will ever know.
ReplyDeleteMade this tonight and it was delicious. You'd never know it was only 6 points plus! this was my first recipe made off this site, i will definitely be coming back to this site for more recipes!

ReplyDeleteThis recipe was easy oh so good. Will be making it again, very soon.
ReplyDeleteOh.. My... Goodness.. this is SO good. Just made this tonight for dinner. This has to be one of the best things I've ever cooked and/or eaten! Next time, I'm trying it with chicken!
ReplyDeleteGina,
ReplyDeleteFound your website through my SIL/Best Friend when she pinned your 'Chicken Rollatini with Spinach alla Parmigiana' onto her board on Pinterest. It was been a pleasure to play in your recipe box. lol
I made the Pepper Steak w/ white rice and a nice spinach salad on the side... It was a hit! My hubby and 4 yr old loved this so much that it will go into the permanent rotation.
THANK YOU for making eating better so much easier and fun. I have made one of your meals for dinner almost everyday for the last week. And I plan to make the Thai red chili shrimp tomorrow. ;)
Sincerely,
Christine and the whole Raymond Family
I have never made chinese but what I do love is the brown sauce that they put on many of their dishes. What are the ingredients that they use in their brown sauce. I am going to try your pepper steak tonight but would like more brown sauce. Hope you can help me. Thanks Marty
ReplyDeleteCould I use something else instead of rice wine? I don't have that on hand but have everything else!
ReplyDeleteJust made this and the Frittata (trying to cook ahead for the week so I'm not tempted to order out). Both are fantastic! I also have the Slow cooked Pernil cooking. I used red wine vinegar in the pepper steak because I didn't have rice wine. Can't wait to try more of these recipes - I just started WW again but needed to find some recipes the entire family would eat.
ReplyDeletecan I substitute the rice wine with anything else?
ReplyDeleteI think rice vinegar works better, actually. ;)
ReplyDeleteGina - I've made quite a few of your recipes and just made this one tonight - all of them have been absolutely delicious!!! I love your recipes - Thanks!!!
ReplyDeleteThis was so delicious! I served it over quinoa and it was great. Another awesome, healthy recipe - thank you!
ReplyDeleteWhat is a serving size?
ReplyDeletelove it, my picky family LOVED it! This rocked and is def a keeper on my pepperplate! Thanks so much....
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to making this...I try to make healthier things and my teenage boys are getting oh so tired of CHICKEN!! :)
ReplyDeleteI loved loved loved this. Couldn't find rice wine - I used sherry instead, since that's what "the internet" generally recommended, as it's the most similar.
ReplyDeleteI made this for dinner tonight! Another winner Gina! You are the bomb amd I adore you!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your amazing recipes!

I doubled it, and added 2 cloves of minced garlic to the meat bowl, used cooking spray instead of oil, added 7-8 sliced, sauted mushrooms, a red and green pepper, and used low sodium soy sauce and a generous sprinkle of crushed red pepper!!! Delicious !!!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh. I made this last week almost exactly per recipe(I used apple cider vinegar, I was out of rice wine)and while I was skeptical about the vinegar, it was scrumptious! Everyone, including my picky 10 year old asked for it to be on our weekly menu.
ReplyDeleteTonight I wanted stir fry with zucchini and mushrooms and couldn't find anything on your site, so I thought..."hmmm, I wonder if the pepper steak recipe would be good with my zuc's and mushrooms?" I am SO GLAD I did the swaps. All it was missing was onion, that would have the icing on the cake! All my kids loved it and my 3 year old even asked for "more zukis mama". He's not a zucchini kid, so this was HUGE. Thank you for the scrumptious recipe that is also very easy to adapt. I am not sure what the caloric swap would be, but since I only swapped veggies and kept everything else the same, I figured it would still be close.
Gina, I just had to say, this is by FAR my all time favorite recipe, EVER. I make it every other, if not once a week. It is SO GOOD! I make it exactly as the recipe is listed, with no changes or substitutions. It is better than any Chinese food you could ever buy.
ReplyDeleteWow this was really really good. I actually tripled it because I had a 36oz piece of round (london broil) and I was a little worried because my wok isn't big, but it all turned out very well.
ReplyDeleteAlso as a sub for the rice wine since it was nowhere to be found at my grocery store, I used cooking sherry.
Made this tonight! It was delicious
ReplyDeleteLooks great. Thanks for all of your wonderfully delicious recipes. I appreciate this site for healthy meal ideas.
