This fresh and delicious Avocado Mango Salsa is sweet and savory with lots of lime and cilantro. Great as an appetizer with chips or serve this over fish or grilled chicken!

Avocado Mango Salsa
If you like guacamole, chances are you’ll love this salsa! Made with avocado, mango, tomato, garlic, jalapeno, red onion, lime juice and cilantro. It’s light and colorful perfect with chips as a dip if you need an easy appetizer. The combination of flavors, sweet and salty with tangy hint of lime makes this a winner. This is also great over grilled fish or chicken. I’ve even enjoyed this over fish tacos instead of pico de gallo!
How To Make Avocado Mango Salsa
I love making this salsa, which is lighter than guacamole and always a crowd-pleaser. This recipe is so versatile and can be easily modified to fit your taste!
Start with the freshest ingredients. Here I use haas avocado, ripe mango, tomato, garlic, jalapeno, red onion, lime juice and cilantro. Combine all the ingredients with salt and pepper. If you’re making this ahead, leave the avocado for last until ready to serve.
Variations:
- Don’t like cilantro? Leave it out!
- Omit the tomatoes if you wish.
- Make it spicier with serrano peppers in place of jalapeño.
Way to Serve Avocado Mango Salsa
If you want more ideas than just eating this with chips, here’s a few ways I love to eat this!
- Serve this salsa over fish tacos.
- Try this over blackened fish.
- Grill up some chicken and top it with this fresh and flavorful salsa to make it exciting.
- Air fry some salmon and use this salsa as a topping.

Absolutely delicious!
So delicious and so easy to make. I served it over cilantro rice as a side dish.
Delicious and so healthy
Delicious 🤤
Very easy and tasty!! Served over fresh steelhead. Delicious. You should try it.
Can we freeze this recipe.
Fresh and tasty. My family loved it over mahi mahi and the extras were scooped up with tortilla chips. I will be making it often this summer.
Thank you! This recipe is amazing!!!
Great!!
Super delicious!!

Has anyone tried this with frozen Mango?
Thanks
I was just going to ask the same thing. I guess if they thaw and are okay texture-wise, it would work. I may try that today, having just bought two bags of them!!
I make this recipe on my own but sub red bell pepper for tomato. Fresh and delicious. This is what I make to go with Gina’s blackened salmon.
This is a staple! So delicious with any grilled protein. Gina, can you please link this to WW so we can auto record the points? Thank I’m advance!
I love all of your recipes, but this one is a top ten. I served this for dinner with your Cilantro Lime Shrimp, and oh my gosh was it amazing! I can’t wait to make it again.
Can’t stop eating it, is all I can say! Another favorite from your site! Thank you!
Gees chicken thighs were not used in Madison’s tacos – even though chicken thigh meat is great in tacos. Chicken thigh meat was used in ‘Slow Cooker Chicken and Sausage Creole.’ Looked at too many recipes and got confused. Sorry. My post maybe too long and out of place. Do as you wish. Just wanted you to know that your efforts are appreciated.
1. Found your website when I Googled “avocado-mango salsa.” Used your recipe, my first attempt, and attended a party where those who tried it, raved, just as you predicted, about the unique combination of flavors. I now have a new addition to my arsenal of party dishes.
2. I stuck around, checking out your website and loved it. An important factor here is that I live in south Louisiana where 85% of the recipes begin with “first, you make a roux.” People in south Louisiana have a passion for cooking and eating good food, which is also evident in your website.
3. I’m a retired science teacher and I love your attention to detail. Using chicken thigh meat in Madison’s tacos – thigh meat is the most favorable part of the chicken. Mixing dry spices before adding to a recipe to ensure distribution. Your weekly menu planning ideas are extremely thoughtful.
4. I’ll be back.
We eat this with baked salmon. It is absolutely delicious with it!
I won’t make salmon without making this salsa to go with it!
Great inside chicken quesadillas
This is perfect without adding the oil and it’s only 1 point.

Looks delicious! I love both ingredients. Going to try it.
Made this tonight. I prepared shrimp tacos and I put the salsa over the shrimp. So good! This will be on my regular dinner rotation.
Cheryl a friend of mine makes this all the time without the jalapeño and it's just as delicious!! Gina this recipes is out of this world! Thank you so much for sharing it with us. It is such a big hit for me and my whole family. We just cannot get enough…. yummy
Will this be good without the jalapeño pepper? The grands will surly want to eat it and I don't think they would like the heat.
Do you think this would last more than one day? I'm just cooking for two, and I'd be worried the avocado would turn brown.
Yum! Thanks I can't wait to make this 🙂
Made this tonight for my women's choir, and it was highly appreciated, though I got a particularly potent garlic clove, so we are stanky. 😉 They loved it, and kept going back for more! I forgot to buy jalapenos, so I just added about 1/2 t. of habanero sauce to give it a bit of kick. Super yummy! Thank you!
I had lunch today at Chili's, and had their Tilapia with a mango salsa. It was delicious. I can't wait to try this recipe, it has the same delicious flavors.
I loved this!! Thinking about leaving the oil out next time?
This was awesome! So good with the recipe for the quesadillas! I could seriously eat bowls of it just by itself! The garlic, especially when it is fresh is so good! Thank you for the recipe!!
amazing, but too much work for me! great recipe though!!
Hi Gina, will this keep well over night or at least several hours in the fridge? I'm not sure the avocado would hold up but if I could at least make it early morning and serve it late afternoon, that would be a huge help!
I like making this with black beans, cucumber, yellow bell pepper and corn. May add a point or 2 but soooo worth it!!!
I made this the other day and it was a HUGE hit! Absolutely delicious. The only problem was how to stop eating it!! At least it's healthy 🙂 thanks!
This combined with your chicken quesidillas are a go to recipe in our household now. Love it! Thanks for sharing.
I like this idea but not a fan of mango. Would it taste ok if I substitute it for pineapple?
Made this today and we LOVED it with chips. gonna try it on fish tomorrow. Thanks Gina!!
This is delicious with fish!
This looks really good. I can see it with seared scallops or any type of fish. I am not a cilantro fan, but I will add a touch and perhaps parsley.
I am going to give it a try.
Thanks again Gina.
So incredible!! This salad is a keeper definitely will be making again and often.
I absolutely love your website! It has made cooking healthy so much easier!!! 🙂
This is SO Good!! I make it almost every other day, when the mangoes are on sale! I work my recipes around this so I can have it! It's so fresh and tasty I love the blend of flavors! Thanks you.
This was fantastic! I put it on some baked cod and it tasted delicious. I didn't have any jalapenos so I substituted a little of the Sriracha hot chili sauce. Thank you so much for the recipe!
I made this recipe with the chicken quesadilla, and it was to die for!!! I have never had a quesadilla with so much flavor in my entire life
I love the spicy-sweet-salty combination.
I make this all summer!! LOVE LOVE LOVE it. I always get requests for it. The mango flavors are soo good.
This is amazing! Just made this, having it tonight with the Chicken Quesadillas! Tomorrow it's 3 bean turkey chili!
I have been making this salsa for quite sometimes and it is delicious!
You're welcome! This is great over seared tuna!
This has become and an all time favorite in my house! Great recipe. I can't make enough of it! Thanks Gina
I made this last night without the jalapeno, it was GREAT. thnaks
This is a terrific recipe! I have made it three times: once as an appetizer with baked Tostito scoops, once to go with grilled chicken, and once to go with grilled tilapia. It compliments anything! And quite frankly it is yummy to just sit and eat out of the bowl for a satisfying, healthy snack! This is quickly becoming a staple for me!
I made this for the first time last night, I didn't have a tomato or jalapeño but I still think it turned out amazing. Even my picky husband loved it! I served it over grilled fish, YUM!!!
Mangoes and avocados, what's not to love, right?! 🙂
I made this & was loved by everyone. I'll be making it again for sure. Thanks!
Absolutely the best salsa ever! Thanks Gina!
This was amazingly delicious! Such a great bunch of flavors mingling together!
I made this for Father's Day and it was fantastic! I added more jalapenos than what was asked to give it a little extra heat and I let it sit for a few hours before serving it. It was a hit!!!!
omg i made this tonight, i doubled the mango 2 mango and 2 plum tomatoes, yummmmmm, my husband loved it, he wanted me to make extra so he had it for tomorrow. Thanks and they went with the quessedillas, instead of the chicken breast i did an already cooked rotisserie chicken (5 oz of chicken=3 points) so smart and healthy tortillas 1 point ww cheese 1 point, yummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
I just made this and it was SOOOO good. It is hard to limit myself to thi serving size though.
Try to save some for the quesadillas! You'll love it!
i just made this soooooo yumi!!! i i ate it right after i finished making it & still yumi – i want to use the left overs if there any for the chicken quesadillas 🙂
I added 1/2 teaspoon of cumin, it was delicious! Thanks for sharing!
awesome!
Gina~ I featured this on my superbowl sunday… and I am making your buffalo chicken today.
You Rock!
This looks terrific!
If you buy baked chips it's not too bad. Guiltless Gourmet makes great tasting low point chips in all flavors if you are lucky enough to find them by you. I think 18 chips are 2 points.
This is a winner!
My problem would not be the 1/2 cup… it is the bag of chips.
Some things in life are just worth it.
Gina, this one sounds awesome!!! It will be on my Super Bowl Table!!!!!
I am so happy that I found your website. I look forward to the recipes each time I get an email from you. Thanks for all the ideas!!
I'll have to try this! I LOVE both mango and avocado!
Mmmm….looks refreshing, healthy and delicious. Both my favourite ingredients there…mango and avocado….yum
this sounds delicious!!!
Can you use frozen mango?
