Crispy Air Fryer Pork Chops

This is the best air fryer pork chop recipe!! I took my favorite baked breaded pork chop recipe and converted it for the air fryer. This was one of the first air fryer recipes I ever shared here on Skinnytaste, even before I wrote two air fryer cookbooks! They’re even more delicious than my baked version because the air fryer gets the breading even crispier without frying. Some more of my favorite air fryer recipes are Air Fryer Chicken Parmesan, Air Fryer Steak and Air Fryer Chicken Breast.

Breaded Pork chops in the airfryer

For the best pork chops, I love breading them with a combination of panko, breadcrumbs and cornflake crumbs with lots of seasoning. Here’s how to make them:

Ingredients

  • Pork Chops: I use center-cut boneless pork chops, about 3/4-inch thick
  • Breading: 1 large egg, panko breadcrumbs, crushed cornflakes crumbs and grated Parmesan cheese
  • Seasoning: sweet paprika, kosher salt, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, black pepper

How to cook pork chops in the air fryer

This easy air fryer boneless pork chop recipe in the air fryer cooks much quicker than they do in the oven.

  1. Season the pork chops with salt.
  2. Dip them in egg wash letting the excess drip off.
  3. Then into the breadcrumbs, coating the top, bottom and sides of the pork chops.
  4. Spritz both side with oil
  5. Air fry 400F in a single layer, in batches as needed for 12 minutes, flipping halfway until it has an internal temperature of 145F degrees if when using an instant read meat thermometer.

How do you get breading to stick to pork chops?

I use egg to get the breading to stick to the pork chops, but if you’re allergic to egg or want to use something else, olive oil, mayo, or Dijon mustard would work. Once you put them in the egg, then place them on the breadcrumbs and use your hands to press the crumbs in well, shaking off any excess. Set aside and repeat.

Air Fryer Pork Chop Notes

  • When air frying, always flip your food half way through cooking.
  • Don’t overcrowd the basket, you need the air flow to get them crispy. Cook in batches if needed.
  • If you’re allergic to egg or want to use something else, olive oil, or Dijon mustard would work.
  • Cornflake Crumbs are sold near breadcrumbs. If you don’t have, you can buy corn flakes, and crush them yourself.
  • If the pork chops are frozen, thaw overnight in the refrigerator before air fryer.
  • Leftovers can be refrigerated up to 4 days.

Variations:

  • Without Cornflake Crumbs: If you don’t have or don’t want to buy corn flakes, you can omit them and double the panko. Or you could buy one of the small single-serve boxes of corn flakes.
  • Gluten-free: To make these breaded pork chops gluten-free, use gluten-free corn flakes like Nature’s Path.
  • Bone-in Pork Chops: You can use bone-in pork chops or thinner boneless ones if you prefer. The cooking time will vary, so check them every few minutes to make sure you don’t overcook them.
  • Switch up the flavors by using different seasonings and dried herbs.

  1. This was crazy easy and super flavorable. My husband said they were some of the best pork chops he’s ever had. Going into regular rotation.

I have been enjoying my air fryer more because of your fabulous recipes and will try this one. Sometimes I can’t afford eggs so I replace with Dijon mustard. I found really thick pork chops with the bone exposed, think standing rib roast minus the frilly white chef’s hat on the bone. So very bougie for an intimate dinner with my boyfriend. I get them at Trader Joe’s and can’t afford the high price of steak so this will be a change up for my monthly celebration meal. Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and if I can find the little hats I will surprise him!

  3. This breading/cooking method works great with chicken cutlets also. Delicious! A staple for easy week night meal.

  4. Thank you Gina! I have made this many times, because my husband now thinks this is the only way pork chops should ever be made. He has made it a few times as well – it is 100% our go to for pork chops.

  5. I love all your recipes but this one is outstanding! My husband is still raving about it ! I made apple/fennel slaw with it for a nice bright spring meal. Thanks so much.

  6. I have used this recipe at least a half dozen times since I purchased my air fryer. In fact, this recipe spurred me on to use my air fryer with a variety of meals I would have used my oven or cooktop for. Thank you!

  7. This recipe turned out SOOOO good!!! Just a hint of heat, very flavorful, and I was able to attain the perfect crunch. I actually intentionally used frosted flakes instead of corn flakes for a little sweetness, which was an excellent added dimension. If you need a go to for pork chops, this is it!

  8. This was a first time air frying a pork chop. It was tender and flavorful. So glad I ran into your site. I’ll be back.

  9. This was a huge hit with my family! My two boys fought over the leftovers and requested that I make this again next week! So much flavor and so crispy. This is going into the rotation.

  10. This recipe is a keeper! I didn’t have sweet paprika, or chili powder so used hot Hungarian paprika instead. It turned out great! I’m thinking about trying with Cajun

My pork chops were a tad thicker so needed 14 minutes in my air fryer. and they turned out gorgeous, tasty and juicy.

  11. I didn’t have cornflakes so I just substituted with more panko. One of our favorite recipes! Thanks, Gina!!

Came out perfect! Had a couple chops that were closer to 1”, so cooked them for 14 minutes. Crispy outside, tender & juicy inside. Served with rice pilaf and roasted broccoli.

  13. As pork chops go, these were yummy. Not as tough as most. My chops were 1/2”thick so i probably overcooked them a bit. Trying the breading mixture on chicken breast tonight

  14. I have made this recipe several times. We love it. The chops are well seasoned and don’t dry out. They are delicious. Unless I am making a casserole, I use this recipe. Thank you for sharng it.

This is one of the first recipes I made from Skinny taste and I have made it many times since then. This is now my go to work chop recipe. The chops are nice and crispy and delicious with the seasoned coating and most and tender inside. Do yourself a favor and make these. Also try many of the other recipes here. I have all of the skinny taste cookbooks and also come here for ideas as well. I have seldom been disappointed in any of her recipes.

  16. I made these for the first time last night and they were delicious! I used dijon mustard as recommended for a substitute for the egg, and skipped the corn flakes (I used 2/3 panko + 1/3 grated parmesan). The chops came out crisp, tender and juicy. I’ll definitely make these again and again.

  17. Fabulous! Entire family loved it! (Fussy crowd!) Very easy I followed recipe exactly except I omitted cornflakes.

  18. These came out so moist! My hubby loves pork chops slathered with bbq sauce, but this recipe sounded like a nice change and it was a hit!

  19. Great recipe! I made it with boneless pork chops, everything turned out as it should. I have made the oven version before, but this was so much better in the air fryer. I cooked them for a few minutes longer than what was suggested here. Depends on your air fryer, thickness of chops and so on.

  20. So delicious! Great crunchy outside and tender meat inside. I liked the addition of Parmesan in the breadcrumbs too.

  21. These pork chops were wonderful! Served with fresh steamed broccoli and cauliflower and couscous.

  22. These turned out great! I didn’t have any panko crumbs so just used crushed corn flakes. Just added spices by eyeballing it and shaking from the jars to taste. Be sure to check temperature. – that is the key to not drying out pork.

  23. Super tasty with the cornflakes. Added thyme and used mayo instead of egg & skipped the oil spray.
    Thanks for the post.

I made as directed. The 2nd try, I had no corn flakes so I substituted 1/2 regular bread crumbs & 1/2 instant mashed potato flakes—and I liked the variation better. If you have a tray style air fryer be sure to rotate the trays top to bottom. I served with lemon butter and parm (plus black pepper) leftover pasta noodles. Easy dinner with a salad or cottage cheese.

  25. Loved this recipe! These were delicious and —as promised— moist. I cooked 3/4-inch thick pork chops in the Ninja air fryer for 6 minutes per side. I let them rest for 4-5 minutes, served with baked potatoes and air fried zucchini (seasoned with everything bagel seasoning).

  26. FYI you might be interested to know that most people who have dairy allergies or intolerances do fine with parmesan cheese, so it’s fine to leave in!

  27. We really enjoyed this recipe. I have a Ninja SP101 (toaster style) air fryer and it took quite awhile longer to cook than the recipe listed. The chops were about 3/4” thick. We used an instant read thermometer. Still good, but our sides were cold by the time the meat was ready

    1. How long did it end up taking in your Ninja SP101? I have the same one and am interested in making this recipe.

  28. We did this with a Ninja air fryer preheated to 400 and 5 minutes per side. They were great, really loved the combinations of ingredients. We will be keeping this one for future dinners. By the way, we served it with Truffle Oil Risotto and a strawberry salad

  29. My family loved this recipe and it’s so easy! I don’t always enjoy pork dishes but the breading was the perfect complement.

  30. I have made this 2X now. Instead of the seasonings listed, I used an Adobo mix I love, along with the parmesan and panko. They were outstanding! The trick for me was getting the thinnest cut chops I could find. This is definitely a winner!

  31. I had my husband pick out 3 recipes from the site for dinner this week. This was the first one I made, and it is a winner! Easy and yum. I had to cook longer than the recipe recommended but that’s why we have meat thermometers!

  32. bomb.com! so moist and flavorful! had to air fry a few more minutes because they were on the thicker side. Def make it again.

    1. Dee — I’m thinking of using my convection oven. What temperature and time did you use? Thank you.

  33. My family really enjoyed these. I had super thick chops so just added a few minutes of cook time. I will definitely use this recipe again. Thanks!

  34. I guess you have to be a good cook which I am not. Easy enough to make the only issue I ran into was the panko did not stick very well and the chops were not cooked through at 400 for 12 minutes, ended up cooking them for 20 minutes. I’ll try again practice makes perfect!

  35. First time using my Instant Pot Air Fryer Lid tonight (I’ve had it for almost 3 years🤪) & chose to use this recipe!!! It was AHHH-MAZING!!
Easy, quick & sooo yummy delicious!!

  36. I just purchased a Ninja Foodi air-fryer with 2 drawers where you can cook 2 foods at the same time. The recipe sounds amazing, but can you air-fry them without the bread crumbs to save on calories?  I’m on Weight Watchers.

Why corn flakes? Would the chops be just as good without them? Making this recipe now for the first time.

  38. This is a great recipe. The pork chops came out perfectly – crispy outside and juicy inside. I put the crumb mixture into a ziploc bag and shook each chop individually after dipping into the beaten egg.

  39. Really enjoyed this dinner. This reminded me of the Shake & Bake pork chops my mother used to make. Pork Chops turned out perfect in the air fryer.

  40. i tried both options bake and air fryer — the air fryer way came out better. the oven option stuck to the foil.

  41. These pork chops were so easy and delicious. I didn’t deviate from the directions at all except I didn’t use corn flakes since I wanted to use up some other cereal I already had. I only made three chops, and had to cook one at a time since I have a smaller airfryer. I cooked the oiled side for 6 minutes and cooked the other side for 7 and then checked the temperature to make sure it was 145 degrees and done…and yum!

  42. One of my favorite recipes. Love the thick sliced pork chop, and I think the difference using this recipe was spraying oil on the chop when placing it in AF, and spraying to cooking grill as well.. They came out beautifully crispy and juicy in the middle….and I’m talking 3/4″ chops.

      1. I thought the exact same thing(I even cringed watching the vid),  Love my second Ari Fryer for this very reason….

Yes, we have a 6qt Instant Pot DuoCrisp with the air fryer lid. You can put 2 – 3 pork loin chops in at a time, depending on size, and we double the recommended cooking time or use thinner cut chops for crispness.

Seriously good recipe!! I didn’t have corn flakes so I just used panko, but otherwise followed the recipe as written. The chops were crispy on the outside and jiucy on the inside in 12 minutes! They were perfect! Will definitely make them again!!

  43. I made these tonight after trying the chicken sandwich last night with great success.   They were juicy and tender inside and crispy outside.  I dipped the chops first in flour to which I had added all the spices, then egg, then Panko mixed with garlic herb bread crumbs because I didn’t have corn flakes.  My chops were only a half inch thick. I have a Ninja Foodie XL and cooked them at 390F for 10 minutes and they were perfect.  These are much lighter and easier to make than frying in butter and oil.  Thanks!

  44. What amazing flavor,  Used our own panko and smoked paprika.  They were very good, my wife and daughter do not normally eat pork chops but devoured these. Thanks for the recipe.  Used time and 170F for pork and juicy with mashed, gravy, and greens.

  45. I made this again tonight and they’re so good! I’ve made them many times now and they never disappoint!

I modified it used bread crumbs, smoked paprika, garlic powder and onion powder for the seasoning.  Salt and pepper of course.  I egged and breaded with the seasoned breadcrumbs and air baked 3/4” thick boneless pork chops @ 400degrees about 11 minutes.  They didn’t” come out crispy but they did come out with a nice coating that was brown and the chops were the juiciest and tastiest I have ever made.  I didn’t have the corn flakes in the house to use them and I didn’t want the chili flavor.  I will try them with the corn flakes next time but either way they were great.

Mine were slightly thinner  than 3/4 inch but not 1/2 inch. I did mine 400 degrees 11 min. So I would try 9 minutes and check with a thermometer.

  47. I made these last night, and they came out great! The family loved them, and they stayed juicy. Will be making these again.

These pork chops were absolutely delicious!! This is now my go-to recipe for pork chops. My pork chops were 1 inch thick and bone-in, so I set the timer for 18 minutes, and they came out perfect. I also dredged them in flour first, then egg, then seasoned panko crumbs. Yummmmmm!

Holy moly!! Well, I made 6 pork chops. Should have made about 25 to satisfy everyone. This is by far the best coating I’ve ever eaten on a porkchop or really any edible object. Lol. Make them now!

  50. After reading the reviews, I knew I had to try this! Followed recipe exactly. My chops were thick so I followed recommendations and added 5 minutes. Will definitely make this again. Another winner from skinnytaste!

  51. If you’ve scrolled this far, JUST STOP. Go make these immediately! These are the best pork chops I’ve ever had. Thank you so much for this recipe.

  52. Yum! Managed to satisfy both a 9yo and a 92yo, which is no small feat. I have a Cuisinart toaster oven/air fryer combo, and it did great. I didn’t have corn flakes, so I subbed some crushed carmelized French’s onions, and they were delicious. The coating held up great, and everyone was happy and well fed. 😊

  53. I made these exactly per the recipe in my air fryer. They were so crispy, so juicy, so delicious. I was only going to eat one but had two and my hubby finished off the rest. Perfectly seasoned. Crispy and crunchy. I will be making these again and again ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

  54. Made these as my first recipe in my new air fryer. Followed the recipe exactly and they came out amazing. Super crispy and tasty. My air fryer isan 8 quart, so I was able to easily fit all the pork chops in at once. Definitely will make these again!!

  55. These were really good! I didn’t have cornflakes crumbs, so I used 1 cup of panko in total and followed the remainder of the recipe as stated. Everyone liked them, including our picky son. Great recipe to put into the rotation!

  56. Delicious!  I had thicker chops, so they needed an extra flip and an additional 5 minutes.  I didn’t have corn flakes, but I did crush up some onion flavored chips and mixed  that into the panko crumbs.  YUM.

  57. Excellent recipe! Made as written and was very delicious!
I used Korean BBQ sauce on the side, they were perfect.

The first side that is face down never crisps up when turned and the original side that was up turns soggy when flipped down. Now neither side is crispy. Thoughts?

    1. This happened to me the first time I made this recipe. I decided to try it again tonight with a slight modification. Because my pork chops weren’t as thick as the ones used in the recipe, I used a lower temperature so the pork chops wouldn’t cook too fast and had time to crisp on the outside. I also was a bit more liberal with the oil. When I turned the pork chops, I sprayed the upside before flipping and then sprayed the other side. They were perfect this time. Good luck if you try them again.

I just made these pork chops and they were the BEST I’ve ever made. My family agrees how good they turned out!!

  60. These are the best breaded pork chops I’ve ever made! I usually make these without the corn flakes because we don’t have them but today I made these exactly as written and I’ll never make them any other way! SO GOOD! With 12 mins they came out to 145 (I rested for 3 min). Crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Absolutely perfect! Thanks, Gina!!

  61. Delicious recipe! My pork chops were thicker than 3/4 inch, so I just turned and sprayed them an extra time and cooked them for 5 extra minutes. Thank you so much!

  62. Delicious! I didn’t have corn dishes but used crushed up Funyuns instead. Juicy and tasty. Best pork chop!

    1. I expect that’s a typo. I only ever preheat for 3 minutes. And the. Cooked the breaded pork chops for 12 minutes.

  63. I am brand new to Air Frying…and not a great cook or a big food lover, but this recipe was easy and DELICIOUS! It will definitely be a staple recipe on my menu list from now on.

  64. so easy to make and very delicious! I love breaded pork chops but they can be so greasy and hard to get the right cooking temperature. This was a no fail, healthy alternative. I’ll never make these any other way!

  65. Hi Gina, I have to tell you I don’t think I’ll ever fix breaded pork chops any other way again after trying this recipe in my air fryer last night.  I made it just as you instructed and they turned out so great!!  I have an instapot with an air fryer lid and they turned out perfectly cooked at 12 minutes just as you said–lovely tasty crisp on the outside and moist and delicious on the inside, we loved it.  Thank you!

  66. This recipe is a win-win dinner!  I’m new to air frying and wanted to try pork chops.  Can’t say enough great things about this recipe., easy, crispy on the outside but tender and juicy on the inside and in only 12 minutes.  I’ve used this recipe 3 times and just can’t get enough, definitely a keeper.

  67. This recipe turned out delicious! I left out the cornflake crumbs, onion powder, and parmesan cheese because I didn’t have them on hand. I also added a pinch of cumin and brown sugar for more flavor and it complimented the original recipe well! My family and I devoured these for dinner; definitely going to make this time and time again!

  68. I made this for dinner tonight, and my husband and I loved it! I asked him if he would like me to make it again and he said “yes, please!” Served it with oven roasted sweet potatoes and Brussel sprouts for 10 point dinner (green).  Definitely going to put this in the dinner rotation!

  69. Great recipe. Just got my new air fryer today. First recipe I’ve tried. Pork chops were very juicy and had a lot of flavor. Husband enjoyed them throughly, I will diffently be making this again.

  70. Love these pork chops soooo much!!! The only change I made was using smoked paprika and ancho chili powder. Gave them an awesome flavor!

delicious, I substituted buttermilk cornbread mix for the cornflakes. my chops were thicker, 18 minutes – crispy batter, tender inside.

  72. Thank you for a delicious & easy recipe! I modified the recipe slightly since I did not have sweet paprika, I used about 1/4 tsp regular paprika and I did not use the chili powder. I also had to cook longer since my pork chops were thicker. But my husband absolutely loved it! He said it was one of the best pork chops he ever had!

  73. Delicious and so easy! I used panko and Italian seasoned bread crumbs. I will definitely put this in my rotation for easy week nights.

I have an egg allergy as well. I usually omit the egg all together or you can probably use Just Egg which is a plant based egg substitute and tastes exactly like eggs when cooked. You can also use a mixture of chia seeds and water to make a slurry and use that. But like I said, I always omit the egg in this type of instance and no one knows the difference…except for me, well, because I don’t get a violent stomach ache ;).

  74. Family loved these pork chops.  They were nice and crispy, but still moist on the inside.  Will definitely be making these again.

  75. PERFECT BREADED PORK CHOP, I have tried a number of breaded pork chops, and most of them were good, tasty, and moist. Then I tried this recipe and my oh my!  The pork chops were excellent, extremely tasty, tender, and very  moist.  This recipe is a real keeper in our family.

We made this receipt last night for the first time, and it is delicious! The pork chops were crunchy on the outside, and moist and juicy on the inside! Instead of dipping the pork chops in egg, I spread Dijon mustard on both sides of the pork chops, and then dipped them in the crumb mixture. This will definitely become a staple in our house!

This recipe is outstanding. The chops were nicely done, crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The cheese added an unexpectedly good flavor to it all. I made the recipe as stated except for one thing – I used Italian-style breadcrumbs but no cornflakes as I didn’t have any, and it was just delicious. I will make it again.

I am curious what kind of corn flakes you use for gluten free because Kelloggs is not gluten free.

  79. This was my first recipe in my new air fryer. These were delicious.  My pork chops were a little thicker. I measured them and then adjusted the time accordingly. Fabulous crunch on the outside and melt in your mouth watering in the middle. I shared this recipe with friends.  It was that good!  Thank you for sharing. I follow your emails/blogs and enjoy them very much. Trying the skillet cordon Bleu next.

  80. This looks great. If I use thinner pork chops, how long would you cook them for??
    Thanks for the recipe!

  81. Amazing!!!  This recipe was absolutely phenomenal!  My husband does not like pork chops and said he would have this every week!  So delicious!

  82. Fantastic! I love a good crispy pork chop and this was right on the money. I brined the meat it in a salt/sugar solution a little before cooking just to keep it extra juicy. My husband made it very clear that he never wants to eat a pork chop any other way.

  83. There were excellent.  I’m kind of mad at myself, however, because I bought the wrong air fryer.  I got the one with a high star rating on amazon. Problem with it is it only goes up to 380F.  Wasn’t a huge deal, I just added a couple of minutes to the cooking time, but I hope it isn’t a problem in the future.

This is a quick, easy and delicious way to make pork chops. I didn’t have cornflakes so I substituted a few crushed butter crackers and it the chops were delicious , moist and tender.

  85. Made this tonight and it was delicious. Was a hit in my house and I will never make pork chops the old way again. Super easy and fast!!!! Thank you for the wonderful recipe.

  86. Excellent breading recipe, we like spicy breading so I doubled all the seasonings. We also used this recipe to make breaded tenderloin sandwiches.

  87. It was so tasty. I modified some of the seasonings a little bit but over all it was tender and juicy on the inside and crispy-licious on the outside. Thank you for sharing your recipe!

  88. This is so good… i had a really thick chop so just cooked a while longer to 150 degrees….I served it with pan roasted brussels sprouts and a mustard cream sauce.  This recipe will be in the regular rotation for sure.

  89. Are you still coming out with your own air fryer soon?  I am holding off buying one, so I can get yours.

  91. Came out so well! Huge hit with the fam (including 3 little ones). It inspires me to get out the air fryer more. Thanks!!

  92. Excellent  pork chop recipe!  The spices and outside texture were really good, and I was amazed at how well the air fryer did.  The most tender pork chops I have ever made.

  93. Is the olive oil spray necessary? I am wanting to make this tonight, but I don’t have any cooking sprays. Help!! Thanks 🙂

  94. You should do this with your mustard and herb crusted chicken recipe. It’s one of my favorites and something I’d buy an air fryer for if it worked for that (and then by association, breaded chicken recipes in general).

  96. I made these pork chops in my air fryer for the first time tonight and they were fantastic!  So crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside and the coating is so full of flavor.  This recipe will become a regular for us. Thanks Gina!

The air fryer is amazing. I used your recipe and they came out so crispy on the outside but juicy on the inside.

  101. I used my Air Fryer for the first time tonight to make this recipe… OMGosh it was so freaking AWESOME!!! I can’t believe how crunchy it was on the outside and so tender on the inside. Simply amazing. Thanks so much for sharing such wonderful recipes with us Gina!!!

  102. I just ordered my new air fryer a few minutes ago and I’m dying to try it out with this recipe FIRST!!! It’ll be here on this Wednesday! =)

I made the crispy breaded pork chops in my new air fryer. I could not believe how crispy on the outside and juicy inside. I have been on WW and have lost 30#. I saw that your recipe showed 6 sp. But how many ounces of pork chop was that for? Otherwise the recipe was great. I ate just 1/4 of the pork chop.

I cooked two 1/2″ thick pork chops using this recipe but instead of Planko crumbs, I used Ritz (Everything) crackers crushed. I also added 5 more minutes of cooking time since pork chops were so thick. OMG! They were so moist and flavorful while crunchy too!

  105. I made this last night and it was fantastic! Just like the recipe says, crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. Another big hit! Thanks Gina.

  106. This was delish. Just beware of the cooking time at 450 degrees. i took mine out after only 15 minutes and they were already just a bit dry. I’d say check with a meat thermometer after about 12 min. Very good flavor combination!

  107. THESE ARE AWESOME! My husband does not like pork chops because they are prone to coming out dry. He LOVED them. These were so juicy, and flavorful! Every recipe I make from Skinnytaste is fabulous!
Making the breading tonight with chicken cutlets!

This looks super yummy! I’m currently researching air fryers to start making more of your recipes. (the empanadas look amazing!) May I ask… what do you use to spray the oil on? Is it just a regular spray bottle with olive oil? Thanks!

  109. My husband loved the pork chop fixed this way. Said it was tender, moist and delicious! I loved the fact that he had a breaded pork chop and I didn’t get grease floating all over the kitchen by frying on the stove! Will def make this again.

      1. Yes, but you put “omit for vegetarian” instead of dairy free…..there is no way to make PORK chops vegetarian. LOL

  110. This is a wonderful recipe! I made it twice so far.
The only thing I did different was to leave out the cornflakes crumbs (didn’t have any on hand) and increased the panko. They were delicious and fork tender. Yep, I literally just cut them with a fork. Very tender and juicy Planning to have them for the third time when my children come this weekend.

What if you don’t have an air fryer?? I’m sure i could put themin the oven, but for how long??

  113. Delicious!
Golden brown just like pics. Breading didn’t fall off. Pretty juicy, although I will reduce cooking time by a minute or two next time. KEEPER! Question:

I was wondering if the key to the crispy breading is the pre-heatiing of the air fyer? I’m very new to air-fyer cooking and hadn’t preheated it previously.

Made today Loved the recipe? I used my New Philips Air Fryer I did alot of research and chose this one ❤❤❤ viva collection HD9220 OR 9230 GOT ON AMAZON. WE ARE ONLY 2 SO THAT SIZE WORKS GREAT FOR ME. ANOTHER SZE UP GOOD FOR 6 people ….?

  115. This recipe was super easy and the pork chops came out crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. For some reason, my NuWave air fryer does not go up to 400 so I just had to adjust the time. I also didn’t have cornflakes handy and I just substituted with whole wheat Italian bread crumbs and it came out delicious. I would probably cut back on the salt during the pre-seasoning but overall, this dish was a breeze. I’ve made it 3 times already and with different thickness of the pork and it all came out just as juicy and tender.

  116. I love my airfryer I didn’t believe that one time but now I do I cook and it everyday now I love it thank you

  117. My airfryer came today and this was the first recipe I tried in it. My family is sold on both the recipe and the airfryer! I prepared these exactly as written. I have a 5.8qt GoWISE airfryer and was able to fit four chops in at once.

I just purchased my airfryer two days ago. I came across your recipe for pork chops. They were delicious and were cooked in a short period of time. Thank you for the recipe and keep them coming. I want to utilize my airfryer as much as I can.

  119. We loved how easy this came together on a weeknight. Using the air-fryer made it not only fast, but gave it a great crunch too! The pork stayed juicy and cooked evenly. You definitely don’t miss the grease from a traditionally fried food. The recipe made just enough breading, which we appreciated having less waste. It tastes similar to Shake n Bake but in a good way! We served with asparagus, mashed potatoes and applesauce for a complete meal!

  120. Amazing!  Made exactly as directed. Juicy on the inside, crispy on the outside. This will become a regular meal in our house…thanks for sharing!

  121. Does it make a big difference whether you purchase a 15500 or 1800 watt air fryer? I gave a Gourmia 4.5 at. from Kohl’s. I bought it because my sister has the same. Easier to trade recipes. Have not opened yet. Thoughts???? I want to try your pork chop recipe with bone-in. Saw where someone tried it and it worked out well.

  122. I am making these tonight in my air fryer and I am confident they will be good! One comment I have is the 12 minutes you state to preheat. I find that a little odd, I use my air fryer a lot and the most time i have ever preheated is 2 minutes. 12 minutes seem excessive .I have a Go Wise fryer, $69.00 on Amazon. I like it because it is smaller than most fryers that are often 5 quarts. This one is about 3 quarts and works for me with limited counter space and I am not usually cooking for a crowd, Looking forward to more of your hot fryer recipes!

  123. I don’t have Corn Flakes and don’t really want to buy just for this recipe. Can I just double up on the panko?

  124. I was so surprised how juisy these were. It took my airfrier a bit more time, closer to 18 minutes each but maybe my pork chops were thicker. So yummy. I need more airfryer recipes!

  125. My husband bought me an airfryer for Christmas (even researched which one you had because he knows how much I love your recipes!). I make my husband and his family a southern meal every Jan 1 consisting of fried chops, collard greens, black eye peas (your recipe), and corn soufflé. He told me to skip the oil this year and use my new airfryer for all of the chops (not just my own). I was shocked! Of course I came straight to your site and was so happy to find these. He was so happy with the outcome that he asked me to make them more than once a year (no problem there) and to try the same recipe with chicken breast. Thanks, Gina for another hit in my house!!!

  126. Another winner-my family LOVED these! Husband said one of best pork chops he’s had. It was exactly as you said-crispy on outside and juicy on the inside. You inspired me to get the air fryer and so glad I did!

  127. we cooked our chops for 7 minutes per side because they were a little thicker. They came out brown and crispy and were tender and delicious.

    1. Ours took longer to cook too. Probably more like 22-24 minutes at 400 degrees. They were pretty thick though.

  128. I’m going to try this tonight, but using thin boneless porkchops. any reccomendations on how many minutes?

      1. Can i use Shake n bake instead? what would i set the temp at and how long to cookthem?

We got the Oprah’s favorite thing Cuisinart Air Fryer and Toaster Oven in one for Christmas…christened it with Brussels on Christmas night and then these pork chops last night. I used bone-in and they were divine. My husband was like when did you make these? how? He couldn’t believe it. I went from thawing to breading to dinner in 20 min flat! Thank you!

      1. I have recently bought the Cuisinart Air Fryer and I am very happy with it.
Making these pork chops for dinner!

  130. Can these be made with bone in chops and if so do you know time or temperature change? Thank you. ????

  131. Made this last night in my air fryer – it was delicious!! I think the cornflake crumbs really make a difference and the air dryer makes the crust so wonderfully crisp. I don’t think I can go back to baked in the oven.

  132. Is there a way for the recipes that you do use your airfryer, that you could put the baking method for both oven, and airfryer? That way, those of us that don’t have an airfryer yet, don’t have to ask for oven temp and times, and same with those that use airfryer.
I plan to get one at some point, but can’t afford to right now.

I am looking at starting doing your meal plans, but it’s going to be difficult for me if recipes dont have oven times and temps.
    Thank you for considering this.

  133. I have done this recipe before in the oven. And my boyfriend says these are the best pork chops he has ever had. This time I used chicken breast because that is what I had on hand and cooked them in my air fryer and they turned out amazing.

  134. These are AMAZING! And we are not big pork eating people! They came out so crispy.  I didn’t have regular corn flakes, only Frosted Flakes haha, so I used a little extra Panko and some regular bread crumbs.  They came out perfect.  I had been wanting to try recipes in my new air fryer! It’s like you read my mind! Thanks!

  135. Can anything be subbed for the corn flakes or are they really necessary?  Hate to buy a whole box for one recipe as I don’t eat cereal.

    1. I make the oven version of this all the time, and no the cornflakes are not necessary. Generally, I use more breadcrumbs or crush whatever crunchy thing I have around – ex. crackers, pretzels, chips (corn or potato)

    2. I️ felt the same way so bought one of those mini single serve boxes of corn flakes. When crushed up they were exactly 1/3 cup!

  136. I don’t understand why the carb and starch-rich breading materials are used. I would use ground up pork skins and get those STARCH carbs down lower than 8. But that’s just how we eat.

  137. Love that you are posting air fryer recipes! I love mine!! Great when cooking for one or two people especially! Can’t wait to try these pork chops out this week!

  138. I’m making this tonight! My Air Fryer goes up to 400. Is it 390 or 400? Love all your recipes. I just ordered your new cookbook.

  139. Keep the air fryer recipe coming I love mine. Where going to buy are son one for Christmas this year.

  140. The link to the air fryer says it’s max temperature is 390 degrees. How do you cook chops at 400 degrees with it? Are we just talking about rounding error here? Thanks….

      1. Gina made an error? lol… I doubt it. I love your recipes and what you do. Keep up the good work and thanks!

  141. We made these tonight. Crispy, moist, definitely a keeper. Spouse was leery that the breading might be too spicy, but it wasn’t. In fact, I think it could have been spicier. I did have a problem getting the breading to stick, and when I flipped one half-way through the cooking time, I knocked off a good bit of the breading. How to solve that?

    1. Make a bound breading.  First season the pork to taste, dip in seasoned regular flour, dip in egg that has been beaten with a tablespoon of water, dip in panko mixture then cook.

  142. I’m so happy you got an air fryer and are posting recipes using it!  I love your recipes! Thank you!

  143. I oven bake these all the time. 20 minutes. Spray w olive oil Pam, top and bottom. Crispy, easy, low fat. I don’t have space for another cooking element.  But I do love skinnytaste recipes! My go-to for weekly ideas!

  144. Recipes calls 6 chops, but yield indicates 1 chop per serving? Does this change the nutrition info?

  145. Gina, sounds like you are impressed. There is that big name brand, but given you tried this one speaks volumes. Did you get the one for $69.95? Did you get the accessory kit?

I cook shrimp in ours quite frequently.  I buy the prebreaded butterflied shrimp from Sams as well as breading my own.  They cook perfectly in around 10-11 minutes.  We have a large Cooks brand we got at J C Penny’s.  If I bread my own, I dip in buttermilk and then seasoned Panko.

  147. Thanks for the air fryer recipe. We just purchased one and would love to see more. Love your blog, so helpful.

  148. Been thinking about an air fryer for a long time. What brand and size do you have? I do so much food baked in over but with hot summer keep thinking how wonderful one of these would be. Thank you so much for your posts, recipes and ideas. Have you thought about adding the smart points I believe which is the latest in points? Take care, Barb

  149. I love that you are doing air fryer I got mine for Christmas and love it I always on the look out for more recipes for it.

  150. Wishlist: Instant Pot to incorporate air frying into a future IP! (A girl can dream of more kitchen space, can’t she?) And I love your recipes!

I just bought the attachment for my Phillips Airfryer….it makes a shelf so you can add another level for the meat and the model that I have also does not require preheating.   Hope you will have more recipes using the air fryer.

      2. Black and Decker. Looks like an ove. n. Basket is huge. Best bacon ever!!

Am anyone recommend a decent air fryer? Cost isn’t an issue, I’d just like a reliable one.
    Thank you!

    1. I got a “as seen on tv” air fryer for Christmas. I attempted to cook in it and per their cooking suggestions my food would get burnt. I had previously used my mom’s Phillips air fryer and it cooked everything perfect. I ended up with a refurbished Phillips airfryer from groupon, it works like a dream!

    2. I recently purchased a cooks essentials 5 quart on qvc and love it. There are buttons for all different types of food and only takes 3 minutes to preheat. Check it out on their website.

    3. Yes …….. Whatever COSTCO sells ! ……….  Usually someone you can trust for Price – Quality – dependability .

Yes, just bought one from Costco. $49.99. LOVE it! Fish, chicken, veggies – all great! I am going to try the pork chops tonight. I love that you don’t have to wait for oven to warm up, and food doesn’t dry out like oven tends to.

  152. Your ears must have been ringing, my husband has been begging me to make pork chops, and I didn’t have any good recipes. Thank you for sharing, these look delicious!

  153. Ugh so I’ve got to buy an air fryer now? My InstantPot takes up most of my spare kitchen space!! 😉

    1. I would not let myself get an airfryer until I got rid of something else AND it had to fit in a certain spot. I love both airfryer and instant pot and so does my husband!

  154. We love our air fryer! Please – more recipes, or consider adjusting any new recipes to factor in this amazingly-light cooking method..
