Top 25 Skinny Recipes 2012

As we come to the year’s end, I can’t help but reflect on the highs and lows of 2012, and try to imagine what 2013 will bring. Today is a gift we should grasp with both hands, and remember that our faith, family, health, our home sweet homes, and the food on our table are all we really need; everything else in life is a bonus!

But looking back, there were lots of Skinnytaste highlights this year, the top of the list was a book deal with Clarkson Potter ā€“ woohoo!!! I’ve been really busy testing new recipes for the cookbook, then comes the photography, book design, cover designs, lots of fun stuff ahead! I promise to keep you posted as I go through the process.

I can’t express how grateful and thankful
I am for all of your support. Your comments, emails, the photos you share with me on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook mean so much to me. Nothing would be possible without you.

Like many people one of our New Year's Resolutions is to eat more healthy food and excercise more. I think people need to remember that healthy food isn't boring and is far more enjoyable (when done correctly) than stuffing sweets or chips into your face. Thanks for the great list – I'll be back to check for more!

    6. Your recipes are amazing!! My hubby and I take turns making one of your dishes. Simply wonderful for a healthier life!

    7. congratulations on all your great notice! I am not at all surprised. I started WW in march and have been amazed each and every week at the progress. Your blog has made good eating and WW go hand in hand and I am so grateful!

    8. I need to make the mozzarella sticks!! They look divine. My favorite recipes were the Crock Pot Pulled Pork and Chicken Cacciatore.

      1. Hi Katie! Did you ever get a response for this question? I've been trying to look around to see how the points best match the new WW 360 points.

Gina, you're a lifesaver! I've been on WW for 9 months now and have lost 56 pounds. Skinnytaste has become my sole cookbook and I don't know what I'd do without you. Thank you for all that you do.

    25. One of my favorite things about 2012 was discovering your recipes on Pinterest! Every one I've made have been a hit and several are now weekly staples. Tonight I'll be trying the Asian Chicken Lettuce wraps along with a few other of your appetizer recipes! I know each one will be a hit and the best part–I won't have to feel guilty tomorrow. 27. Weird, there are TONS of your recipes that I absolutely love.. but I've only tried 9 of your top 25 and out of those 9 would probably only make one of them again (the peanut butter pie is amazing). The rest I probably would never make. Maybe I just like different foods than the majority of people?! haha, either way, your recipes are amazing and I can't wait for the cookbook!

    28. I love so many of your recipes! The chocolate chip scones and no-bake peanut butter pie are definitely favorites at our house. I can't wait to try the jalapeno popper stuffed chicken and the texas cheese fries.
